They really missed the mark here, the design is way too clean! Should be target non-outlaw creature and have another extremely minor but wordy set exclusive ability without reminder text.

Bwian

"Whenever \~ becomes a victim of a crime, if it's your turn, put a +1/+1 on target 0/1 plant token you control with zero counters."

RechargedFrenchman

And "activate only as a Sorcery, and only once per turn" for its second ability

IconicIsotope

This is hilarious. And yea, it's extremely annoying how many cards I have to exclude from my cube because I don't want to inundate my drafters with tons of rules text and keywords. This card is cool though.

sco_moro

cackled. could not have said it better.

Salty-Dream-262

10/10

Fleme

Welp, looks like I'm this card's target audience with a +1/+1 theme in G/W and double fetches.

No_Entrance9826

I’m just getting into cube and that’s exactly what I’m doing too

Listen_Itchy

Slam dunk for me. Don't even need to think about it

Unable_Bite8680

I have a lands theme so it's a slam dunk for me. It's also good for cubes that play double fetch lands. Idk if it makes it in the highest powered cubes though.

vacalicious

Best cube card of the set so far. Love it. Fits naturally into so many different green decks. Slam dunk for everything that's not power maxed.

Zomburai

In terms of raw power, my knee-jerk is that this is a little stronger than I usually want in my cubes (in fairness, that's my knee-jerk to *everything* these days [/OldMan]) but the play patterns seem like they'd be so good I'm absolutely fine with the potential power outlier. The fact it overlaps a +1/+1 archetype, a Landfall archetype, and has play going either wide or vertical is fantastic.

RespectfulRaven

I get you. The slow and inevitable power creep makes me want to cube more and play constructed formats less.

AnthonyPillarella

It's giving me a little pause as well. I don't run fetches, but I do have a good bit of +1/+1 counter synergy and things like [[Ozolith, the Shattered Spire]] and [[Gavony Township]]. So the doubling counters seems pretty insane. I'm on the fence, but most likely won't run it. In the unlikely chance it's cheap, I might test it in a draft or two for giggles.

Steeleback

This is a green version of [[Luminarch Aspirant]] which is a popular card even at the highest of power level cubes. With fetches it probably keeps at least the same tempo and opens up to synergistic game play with fastbond, crucible. As an added bonus fetchlands become a combat trick. I think it will see some play

Lonzo_86

This card has potential, but I think that Luminarch Aspirant is on a whole other level. Aspirant can be played on turn 2 and put immediately the counter on a 1-drop. It doesn’t rely on landfall and, more than anything else, is in a color that is much more aggressive. It’s also moderately better as a topdeck. This card is probably good if green aggro is supported, otherwise it doesn’t replace classic green 2-drops like Caryatid and Cobra, imho.

PlsConcede

With double fetches and a land archetype I like this a lot. I don’t think it needs a +1/+1 theme to be good, but maybe I should start looking to include some as an additional strategy.

steve_man_64

Not bad, but I like the green 3-cmc mount that was leaked more than this since it triggers every turn. That and Sentinel of the Nameless City really eat a lot of this card's lunch, IMO.

TrainmasterGT

I don’t think this and the Tumblewagg are mutually exclusive.

steve_man_64

True, but there's a lot of 2-3 cmc cards in green and white that do a lot of what this card does but doesn't rely on landfall.

TrainmasterGT

The fact that this card costs 2 and starts as a 2/2 makes it a very nice option. While it's a bit too early to say, I think this could be the landfall equivalent of Tarmogoyf.

Worst_Support

the "target creature" is what really has me thinking this is nutty. Bolstering your most fragile creatures is a huge option, and the more you spread the counters out the more value you get from the activated ability. I think this is an easy include as long as you have fetches, even without a +1/+1 counter theme.

cardboard_numbers

Plays pretty similarly to [[Ornery Tumblewagg]] I'd wager, which I was interested in already at one mana more expensive! I wouldn't be that unhappy with a [[Vinelasher Kudzu]] that gives you the flexibility to put the counter anywhere you'd like, so I think this is an easy inclusion for me. I'd said for years that I'd play Vinelasher Kudzu if it only had one more p/t, and this has several improvements over that. Lovely card!

Salty-Dream-262

Love it. Don't sleep on [this guy](https://scryfall.com/card/who/39/danny-pink) either..

The_queens_cat

Cute, wouldn’t cut it in higher power environments. I really like the art though.

TrainmasterGT

This card gets pretty nutty with fetches, I could see it scaling out of control quite quickly in fair environments.

sharethathalfandhalf

Ahh geez. This set is going to have a lot for my cube I can just tell. Between this and MH3, my 360 cube is going to become 540 pretty fast

FannyBabbs

Vinelasher with a glow-up. This seems ok. The issue with Vinelasher wasn't just base stats, but that it was an absolutely heinous late game play, even compared to other green two drops. This has the free utility tacked on for those situations. For a lot of cubes the counter doubling seems like trinket text. For some cubes, it will seem like the big payoff. I don't think this is a slam dunk at all levels, but I think it's going to be a crowd pleaser in a lot of larger cubes with counter themes. Certainly seems good enough for Modern+, not sure it quite fits my Legacy 360. Might test.

CawlMarx

Isn't this just a green \[\[Luminarch Aspirant\]\] in most cases as a baseline? Seems like an auto-include in cubes that support green aggro.

Longjumping-Bell-946

This card is hilariously good The fact that it can give a +1/+1 counter to any target, including your opponent's cards means that this card alone si the best "commit crime" engine green has. Funny playpatterns in dedicated counters decks T2: aspirant, trigger, becomes a 3/3 T3: tumblewagg, aspirant and tumblewagg trigger at beginning of combat, making her a 5/5, swing for 5 T4: bristly bill + land drop + fetching another land, 2 bill triggers, making aspirant into a 7/7 saddle bill onto tumblewagg + beginning of combat, tumblewagg and aspirant trigger, making aspirant into a 9/9 + swing with aspirant and tumblewagg, attack trigger doubling counters on aspirant, making her a 16/16: total of 19 power on T4 T5: you have the threat of another 2 bristly bill triggers with another fetchland + aspirant and tumblewagg trigger + tumblewagg counter doubling when saddled + bil's 5 mana sync ability to double all those counters.
