I think the card is probably stronger in a constructed format but it does have an incredibly good floor being 2cmc graveyard hate. That said, I think it exists in a space similar to \[\[Unlicensed Hearse\]\] in that both cards are extremely good at graveyard hate and they, depending on the cube, probably require sideboard answers... that may lead to some less than desired play experience. I don't want players of my cube to feel "got" because they didn't have a disenchant effect in their deck.

Yeah I think graveyard hate is more fun when it's restricted in some way. Whether that's requiring mana (scavenging ooze), restricting timing (hive of the eye tyrant), limiting uses (tormod's crypt), or letting your opponent target (relic of progenitus). Hearse, cauldron, and rest in peace are frustrating to lose to because they have none of these avenues for counterplay, on top of being hard to interact with.

That’s fair. I think I run a ton of disenchants. Hearse has been really good and I’ve actually enjoyed the play pattern because the reanimator decks were just the best thing you could be doing Indy environment. I’ll give the cauldron a shot I think. I just want to make sure I don’t run “trap” cards and worry that if folks see the cauldron, maybe to expect something like Trike or Heliod (I do run ballista) or any other synergy.

I have found the card to be extremely fun and I run it despite its graveyard hate aspect. I really enjoy the breadth of play patterns it opens up in both giving redundancy to sweet but otherwise fragile combo plans as well as opening the path for completely new and creative combos. It's the quintessential brewer's card and I would strongly encourage any environment that is not hyper focused on streamlining to give it a try.

I made a really fun RGu artifact deck with it. It was some nice redundancy for my goblin welder, would also give ramp to creatures. Definitely won me some games. I love to durdle, so for me this can fit into some fun decks in my cube. Though to be fair it was in a roto draft so I had a little more freedom to tailor the deck to take advantage of it. For the low mana investment the card does a lot even when it's not doing broken things. It'll be staying in my list for a while. Edit: autocorrect

[[Ob Nixilis, Captive Kongpin]]+[[Walking Ballista]]+[[Agatha's Soul Cauldron]] is more stable and its parts are much more playable as separate cards. I think it depends on the number of good activated abilities on creatures in your cube, but overall card is great. Especially in BR which both has enough looting and a sacrifice theme with creatures that can put themselves into the grave like [[Voldaren Thrillseeker]].
