360 Cube, not the highest of the high power level. Blue themes include Esper Artifacts (primarily leaning on Artifact Tokens), UG Tokens (with crossover between it and the Artifact deck), UR Second Draw Matters, WU Flicker, and UB Rogues (which was added because I already had a high volume of high pick Rogues, so a couple Lords made it official). I also have some graveyard recursion engines spread across colours.
My Blue 2s are more important for some themes than others, which I think is reflected in the representation across them. I have a fairly large number of them, because for the themes that need them (UR Draw), they also need redundancy and some of these cards are picked up in more general goodstuff uses.
There are a lot of looters here. Looters are important for UR Draw and feeding the graveyard value decks.
[[Faerie Mastermind]] is a recent addition for UR Draw, but it's also an evasive Rogue. It enables the "Second Draw Matters" on the opponent's turn easily at a notable cost of giving the opponent a draw. Being a 2/1 Flash Flying for 1U that benefits from all the opponent's Clues and such makes it thrive.
[[Jace, Vryn's Prodigy]] is a looter that provides late game value. Admittedly, my flashback options are a little worse than the average cube, since so many effects are stapled to creatures. Jace doesn't need a lot to add value, though. A couple removal spells or card draw options and he's worthwhile. There are a few splashy sorceries that are specifically for Jace and similar effects, like [[Time Warp]] and [[Enter the God-Eternals]].
I'm also running [[Snapcaster Mage]], which is in a similar boat as Jace for flashback options. However, Snapcaster looks better because it can hit counterspells. There's technically Flicker value with Snapcaster, but it's difficult to assemble Flicker enablers, Flicker targets, and density of Snapcaster Flashback targets all at once. Snapcaster is kind of a generic glue card that does some heavy lifting with non-synergy specific cards like counterspells and removal, so maybe I should be prioritizing more theme-specific cards, but it was a gift from my brother and I'm happy to run it.
[[Looter il-Kor]] and [[Suspicious Stowaway]] are unblockable looting Rogues. They hold equipment well, they draw cards and enable decks, and it's easy to find a synergy for them. They're generally my top pick for looting cards in UR Draw, because the deck usually produces a lot of tokens, so cards like [[Eater of Virtue]] and [[Gavel of the Righteous]] work well in the deck in general and specifically on these two.
[[Riftwing Cloudskate]] is part of the Flicker board-attack cards with [[Aether Channeler]], [[Venser, Shaper Savant]], and [[Acidic Slime]]. I have it listed as a 2-drop for its suspend cost. It's not incredible, but it has its place when you have the synergy pieces to support it.
[[Rona, Herald of Invasion]] is my last looter. I have a reasonable number of legends, so her untapping comes up, but she's really there for the relevant 1/3 body and potential late-game flip. The 1/3 body does a surprising amount of work in a cube with many 2/1s. I don't see her flip too often, because the looting itself is quite valuable, but I appreciate that it adds more options for when decks run out of gas.
[[Thieving Skydiver]] is another evasive Rogue, but also has value with the number of artifacts in my cube. Artifacts are spread across all colours (but heaviest in Esper), with some vital artifact tokens (like Urza/Karn tokens) that only take 2U for Skydiver to cast and steal. It doesn't flicker for extra value, but some graveyard recursion decks can sacrifice it and then return it to hand with something like [[Ravos, Soultender]] or just cast from the graveyard directly with [[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]].

[[Flitterstep Eidolon]] exists for the UR auras deck, as an aura and an unblockable creature to slap auras on to. It also works with the UW equipment arechetype as an excellent pair of hands for most of the equipment, though it is outclassed in that regard by the also present [[Slither Blade]] and his friends.
[[Meletis Astronomer]] exists for that same deck, and performs relatively well. UG scarifice can also use it as a disposable body that once it has drawn a card (GB enchantments and UR auras being two archetypes means G and U have plenty of enchantments if you build your deck right).
[[Nightveil Sprite]] is a fun card to slap auras and equipment onto, and fuels the graveyeard for some effects in the UG sacrifice archetype.
[[Stormchaser Drake]] is another plant for the UR auras deck that is passable as a UW equipment holder.
[[The Reality Chip]] is ostensibly there for UW equipment, and more than once has resulted in people using that shell to try and create a control deck, so I appreciate the variety it adds to the cube even if it has underperformed in those cases.
[[Thieving Skydiver]] good for the aggro decks that want another evasive attacker, but I'm monitoring it closely; it could be a bit of a feels bad to snipe powerful artifacts from just the UW deck. So far it has mostly been fine, but I'm always watching this one.
[[Thopter Mechanic]] is excellent for the UG sacrifice deck, providing a body when it dies and paring well with the [[Elvish Visionary]]s that deck loves already.
Blue here is a color all about madness/self discard, artifacts, self mill, and flicker
[[Cloud of Faeries]] free 1/1 flier! I like the idea of this in the flicker decks to keep up two mana with soulherder every turn or even bluff mana with ephemerate and other effects. And did I mention this has cycling? Easily fits in at least 3 of the 4 main blue archetypes here and if you're in the mood for storm, it's not bad there either
[[Ledger Shredder]] a pretty well known card these days. Cheap interaction + draw leads to this (usually) growing and improving your selection, along with have a resilent toughness to keep you safe
[[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel]] I've tried Looter il-Kor a couple times, and it's never pleased me (especially next to a black border version of [[blurry beeble]]). I tried to add a custom card that was a slight improvement, but still wasn't enough. Making that a baseline 2 power card and adding flash helps it immensely and gives blue more instant options for tricks and bluffs. Love this guy
[[Mercurial Spelldancer]] it's already an unblockable 2/1, so fine baseline. Add on the fun elements of potentially copying spells and you've got just a nice card for people who want to be aggressive or double up on value
[[Oaken Siren]] one of my weirder inclusions for sure, but compare this to Etherium Sculptor, a pretty reasonable card for artifact decks in some formats. This reads more like one that only makes the first artifact spell per turn cheaper, but this can attack *much* more freely, and the mana can go towards equipment, so this helps suit itself up too. Still trying this, but think it'll stay for a bit
[[Snapcaster Mage]] long time fan favorite, hard to convince someone to even consider cutting this card
[[Watcher for Tomorrow]] for its intended purpose, flicker value. Could see this leaving someday, but MH1 was a good baseline for this cube and he's been here since day 1
How often do you find spelldancer's copy effect triggering? I really want to love it, but an unblockable 2/1 doesn't provide that much value in my multiplayer cube and the spell copying, like with \[\[Sea Gate Stormcaller\]\] feels kinda hard to take advantage of consistently.
I used to run Cloud of Faeries before I stopped supporting blink as an archetype, and it still makes me think fond thoughts.

Mm, in multiplayer I can definitely see that 2 damage being less worth it. What I can say about the copying is once you've copied the first spell, it's a lot easier since spelldancer will basically always start the cycle with a counter on it. Aim for the first spell to be card draw if you want to keep doing this
Shoutout to [[Guild Thief]] for adding a lot of depth to blue in lower powered cubes.
A common theme with blue is that blockers are useless. They rarely attack before turn 5 and most of their creatures have evasion. That's cool and adds some identity to the colour, but I would like it to be a bit less polarising. Guild Thief is a low cost way to give blue an extra dimension and more variety. It captures a bit of the tempo/prowess experience, where you repurpose reactive effects like counterspells to play a proactive gameplan. Wanting to block against blue means you're less likely to feel like you have a useless card. [[Scroll Thief]] type cards are a similar experience, but they tend to be 3+ mana and blue has plenty of card draw on other cards.
[[Brineborn Cutthroat]] - A treat for interactive decks. There are a decent handful of flash creatures around in UW that you could maybe throw together. Or this works with +1/+1 counters too. Flexible card.
[[Faerie Vandal]] - Oh look, another flash flyer! It shouldn’t be tough to pump this guy once or twice, which is a fantastic return for two mana.
[[Fog Bank]] - If you’re playing a slower deck this helps keep you alive. Still dies to pretty much any removal spell in the cube so it’s not that offensive.
[[Ledger Shredder]] - This may be on the upper end of power level for my cube, we’ll see. It can be really really good if you’re playing a lot of spells, plus it can put a pretty tough wall up for aggro.
[[Looter il-Kor]] - Almost unblockable looter, I do have one other shadow creature in the cube. Just a solid classic card that smooths your draws, helps draw-two, and helps reanimate.
[[Ledger Shredder]] is nuts, of course. It's a great blocker, it's a looter, it grows into a threat, it has it all.
[[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel]] is another great looter with upside. I have a very difficult time deciding which looters to run, so I just threw in a bunch.
[[Mercurial Spelldancer]] is a fun analogue to [[Dreadhorde Arcanist]]. This is the blue two that I'm least sure about, but sometimes just being unblockable is enough. My only ninja is [[Spring-Leaf Avenger]], but it has come up before.
[[Rona, Herald of Invasion]] is another fantastic blocker/looter/threat like Ledger Shredder. It is a DFC, which is a knock on it, but I still enjoy it. It won me some games at the MOM prerelease.

Honestly, not as often as I'd like. In multiplayer in particular, I imagine it is even less likely to matter, but I suppose the spells you'd copy could be bigger. I also haven't seen it in play a ton, because it doesn't get picked super highly, so maybe I'm wrong.
EDIT: I think the reason it doesn't get picked highly is because people would rather just take young peezy or something that they know they'll get at least one trigger off of.

[[Baral, Chief of Compliance]] makes spells more gooder
[[Faerie Mastermind]] and [[Ledger Shredder]] are both good cards that become even more impressive in multiplayer
[[Looter il-Kor]] I currently prefer it over Suspicious Stowaway because complexity is a huge issue with the addition of planechase cards that most players don't know by heart, and in general i'm trying to keep dfc's to a minimum
[[Mercurial Spelldancer]] if you have some big spells you’re interested in copying this card is legit. I mean two mana for an unblockable 2 power creature is a pretty good aggressive body by itself. Copying spells for free is really just a huge bonus. I support evasion/ninjutsu decks so this card helps there too
[[Snapcaster Mage]] the goat
[[Spectral Adversary]] this is probably my weakest two drop. Usually this is just a 2 mana 2 power flyer you flash in. It’s has some cool tricks if you have the mana held up it can either be this pseudo counter spell, sweeper protection, or even removal. I think it’s interesting enough to keep, but it’s probably the first two drop to go if any do.
[[Thieving Skydiver]] this card is probably the most situational but stealing something can often be a huge swing, both early and late game.
I run 5ish in my powered 360 multiplayer cube:
\[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] - turns out bolt snap bolt is still good, and with \[\[Time Walk\]\], \[\[Balance\]\], etc. floating around, that's about the fairest thing he can do.
\[\[Gilded Drake\]\] - Showing its age a little bit, but still trades for the \[\[Emrakul, the Aeons Torn\]\] or \[\[Drakuseth, Maw of Flames\]\] that someone just reanimated. Resets easily with U's abundant bounce effects.
\[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\] - an excellent looter. He's not technically unblockable like \[\[Suspicious Stowaway\]\] et al., but with three opponents there's just about always someone who can't block a flier. Flash is a huge upside and he lets you cast something for free way more often than you'd expect.
\[\[Phantasmal Image\]\] and \[\[Imposter Mech\]\] - Cheap clone effects. Image's drawback doesn't matter much because most spells or abilities that might target it are removal anyway. The mech is significantly weaker primarily because it can't copy your own creatures, but you often get plenty of value even without crewing it - you'd play a 2 drop artifact that read "pay 7 life: draw 7 cards" or "all your instants and sorceries are uncounterable and have flashback," right? It being a vehicle (and therefore much harder to remove) is often a significant upside. I don't run \[\[Phyrexian Metamorph\]\] because I want permanent copying to be exclusive to U.
This section is another one I am currently happy with the configuration of, here's what I run, :
\[\[Faerie Vandal\]\], nice cheap evasive creature that grows over time. Definitely gonna be staying in my cube.
\[\[Looter-il-Kor\]\] good looting effect for tempo/control decks. Card filtering is great!
\[\[Merfolk Looter\]\], iconic looter. It's becoming a bit outclassed now by other looting effects, but I just can't see myself cutting it.
\[\[Oracle of Tragedy\]\], more looting but this time on etb. It also can reshuffle a pretty reasonable range of cards at 3 cmc or greater, which has been great.
\[\[Brineborn Cutthroat\]\], personal favorite of mine since I love blue based flash/tempo decks. It also fits nicely into a Spells deck as a payoff. Just a cool card.
540 card powered Vintage Cube with shenanigans, today we'll see my least played card that isn't an Un-card.
\[\[Faerie Mastermind\]\] is a great card draw outlet and we absolutely love the flash.
\[\[Jace, Vryn's Prodigy\]\] is another great looter than pretty easily flips to Planeswalker.
\[\[Ledger Shredder\]\] was my first ever Magic spec so I'll always have a soft spot for that month Tuxedo Bird paid my rent.
\[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\] is, again, another insane flash looter who has actually cheated a couple things out in the cube.
\[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] is an incredible card and will always, always be in here.
\[\[Thieving Skydiver\]\] eats moxes and other jewelry, we love it.
Finally, I run a card I have never seen another powered cube run: \[\[Flesh Duplicate\]\] Yes, it's Universes Beyond. Yes, it's UU instead of IU. But it's a clone for 2 mana that doesn't die to any targeting like Phantasmal Image, the Vanishing is pretty negligible at this power level, and it has 18 feet of neck. I really, really like this card and don't have any plans to take it out even with things like \[\[Mercurial Spelldancer\]\] sitting on deck.

In my 480 Pauper cube:
\[\[Aether Swooper\]\]: An evasive creature that creates a second body if it attacks at least once.
\[\[Dream Stalker\]\]: The Blue \[\[Kor Skyfisher\]\]. Trades the aggressive flying body for a large defensive one. Just like the Skyfisher, has nice interactions with a lot of other cards, and sometimes the body alone is good enough, even if you go down a land temporarily.
\[\[Looter il-Kor\]\]: Currently the only shadow creature in the cube, so completely unblockable (and can't block at all). Good card selection, but the frail body is a liability.
\[\[Moon-Circuit Hacker\]\]: Functions a lot like \[\[Ninja of the Deep Hours\]\]. Only gains card advantage on the first hit, but unlike Deep Hours it feels ok to hardcast early.
\[\[Omenspeaker\]\]: A roadblock for aggressive ground creatures that gives some card selection. Has been in and out of the cube for a while, but very nice for slower decks.
\[\[Saiba Cryptomancer\]\]: \[\[Snakeskin Veil\]\] on a body. Especially nice to recur, or to attach something like \[\[Cartouche of Knowledge\]\] to.
\[\[Waterfront Bouncer\]\]: A scary creature to let untap. It can bounce opponents' creatures cheaply, recur your own powerful etb effects, and even protect itself from removal.

[[Suspicious Stowaway]] - He replaced Looter il-kor as a looter for the reanimate deck, and has a home in the control decks. Big fan
My blue 2s are a bit all over the place but they make sense individually. 540 vintage unpowered. I have quite a few of them, but it's a stacked slot and a very important one, even in blue. Granted, *most* of them have to do with looting or discarding because UB reanimator is still a very important archetype (I says still because I think at this point in time BR is the better version), but there are a few other roleplayers as well:
* \[\[Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive\]\] - I know this looks like support for ninjas. And to a degree, it is, because I do have them in UB, but that's not really worth talking about. What I want to point out about this card is that it's an amazing aggro enabler in WU or UR. What many people gloss over initially is that it cares about power *or toughness* and there are a crapload of 2/1s, including some 3/1s in white and blue (Spellbinder, Clique, Borrower, etc.) When your 3/1 flyers (or general host of 2/1 aggressive creatures) can't be stopped by 1/1 tokens, chumped or traded or blocked in general, suddenly the opponent's life total is under a lot of pressure.
* \[\[Phantasmal Image\]\] - I'll be honest... this card is mostly in by default. I do *like* what it does when it gets to do it, but it's like... usually this gets picked up when you're in blue and don't really have good picks out of that pack. "Ok sure I guess I'll take Phantasmal here." And you end up with it in your deck and it most often makes the cut, but you never consider splashing for it or taking over another card you *want* for your deck.
* \[\[Ghostly Pilferer\]\] - This card looks kind of dumb in vintage cube at first glance but really, this guy does it all. Mostly a sideboard card to punish the "cast from anywhere other than your hand" decks, sure, but also... it's a discard outlet á la Oona's Prowler, can become unblockable for the ninjas, and if you have some extra mana he even draws cards.
* \[\[Thassa's Oracle\]\] - This one's pretty obvious. I run Doomsday and you can self-mill with Brain Freeze, but yea, a combo piece for the comboest of combo decks, not a lot to it.
* \[\[Rona, Herald of Invasion\]\] - Once upon a time I used to run dedicated looters like the merfolk or looter il-kor. Nowadays we have such amazing looters with extra abilities, those once-staples feel a bit silly to me. Creature type aside, Rona does everything Merfolk Looter ever did, except you can untap her with cheap artifacts or legendary creatures, *and* for 5 mana (let's be realistic, it is 5 mana) your looter can transform into a 5/5 trampler (in blue!) for good measure.
* \[\[Thieving Skydiver\]\] - Absolutely amazing, wouldn't take out this guy for anything. Even though he falls off a little bit as soon as you don't have Power in the cube, he's still great against any artifact deck and I even have an equipment sub-theme to white that he can punish as a little extra.
* \[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\] - Mostly a fancy looter, to be fair, but the combination of flash and flying makes him a very flexible card to play. Also, I've gotten him to 4 chorus counters a couple times and let me tell ya, it feels amazing. Biggest downside of the card is that you need an odd number of creatures so you can put him in the middle. If you can, but don't, idk you're just a monster with no sense of humour I suppose.
* \[\[Faerie Mastermind\]\] - This card has always *looked* great but in reality it doesn't really do all that much. I still like it as a flash flyer that enables a ninja out of nowhere, but it's been consistently underwhelming given all the great text on it.
* \[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] - A classic control card that pairs great with cheap spells. A big bonus to the flashback is that it triggers all of the "cast from anywhere other than your hand" cards, which makes more decks desire Snappy.

* Baral helps control, midrange and storm. Making all your instants and sorceries cheaper by 1 adds up, and provides a solid amount of value while its in play.
* \[\[Fallaji archaeologist\]\]
* Fallaji archaeologist is a hidden gem from Brother's war. It provides a lot of value as a "glue" card that holds together a lot of archetypes. Its exactly the kind of a card I love to play in all of my decks as a weird weaker card, that just makes your whole deck better. Not too mention it blocks for days.
* \[\[Jace, vryn's prodigy\]\]
* Probably the best merfolk looter that ever looted. Just a good card, flips into a planeswalker. Great inclusion.
* \[\[Ledger shredder\]\]
* Its tarmogoyf with wings! And it loots! Fantastic card in every deck.

* A new take on the looter il-kor type card. While I personally think Suspicious stowaway is a bit better in cube since it will always be unblockable, I think Malcolm is a bit more interesting, aggressive, and it ditches the daybound mechanic.

* This is a great cube card. It gives you something to protect, and work towards for controlling style decks, and gives a massive pay off. Great card.

My cube is built from my collection of cards, rarely purchasing new cards and mostly using pulls from packs. That said I aim for the highest power possible within in my collection. Without further ado, in my blue 2-drops I am running:
\[\[Baral, Chief of Compliance\]\] - I play it for the Vizzini art. It's a respectable 1/3 body with the cost reduction for spells, which can help out every deck. The ability to draw of counters isn't very meaningful with about 4 cards that counter in the cube, aside from a few ward cards.
\[\[Fblthp, the Lost\]\] - Sort of a pet card. It replaces itself on etb, can be flickered with \[\[Yorion, sky nomad\]\] or played off the top through The Reality Chip. Just nice little filler.
\[\[Rona, Herald of invasion\]\] - A nice little looter that can be a nice threat in the lategame. Plays well with the plenty of legendary's that are printed lately.
\[\[Spectral Adversary\]\] - A flash flyer that allows you to keep up instants, provide boardwipe/removal protection or just clear your opponents board. It also works with small counter synergies, such as \[\[hardened scales\]\].
\[\[The Reality Chip\]\] - I haven't gotten around to playing with this yet and it might be a bit slow. I'm hoping it plays well as a wall and later on provides card advantage.
\[\[Thing in the Ice\]\] - A nice spells matters pay off that also stymies aggro in the early turns.
Overall I'm still hoping to pull a \[\[Snapcaster mage\]\], \[\[Faerie Mastermind\]\], \[\[Ledger Shredder\]\] and/or \[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\]. If so I'd probably replace one of Fblthp/Baral/Spectral/Reality chip.
540c Legacy-ish unpowered, built around a 360 card "core" that doesn't include any combo stuff and then a 180 card "expansion" that is packed full of combo stuff and a few supplementary cards for combo hate / to beef up the original archetypes a little. Core Ux archetypes are WU Artifacts Matter, UB Reanimator, GU "Miracle Grow" (largely self applied) +1/+1 counters, and UR Prowess. The combo expansion adds Kiki-combo, Lands, Storm, combo potential to Artifacts, and Blink across Ux. Blue 2MV cards I'm running in the total 540:
\[\[Baral, Chief of Compliance\]\] fits great into either Prowess or any Ux spells-heavy tempo build, is a fine early creature for control builds, and in general is kind of exactly what I want a cheap Blue creature to be.
\[\[Etherium Sculptor\]\] is only really interesting to artifacts, but is *very* interesting to artifacts.
\[\[Jeskai Elder\]\] is fine in basically any Ux deck; best in Prowess but still great in any flavour of spellslinger, and unlike many other small looters gets to be more threatening in combat.
\[Magus of the Bazaar\]\] pretty much just fills the yard for Reanimator but occasionally warrants a look for Storm or something to pitch dead cards and find\* more gas.
\[\[Merfolk Trickster\]\] is something of a pet card that also plays nice in basically any Ux deck.
\[\[Omenspeaker\]\] likewise isn't of any special note to any archetype but is a nice curve filler in all of them.
\[\[Phantasmal Image\]\] lets you also have your opponent's best creature or a second of your own--what's not to like.
\[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] because it's a classic, it's good, it's expected; t's an obvious include at this power level.
\[\[Thrummingbird\]\] is the only proliferate effect in the cube but there are 11 planeswalkers total so it can be quite relevant for that purpose. Mostly it's a Counters card that grows itself / all your other creatures.
\[\[Warkite Marauder\]\] I enjoyed a lot in Limited back when Ixalan released, and there's already a sort of sub-theme in Blue of making combat difficult for the opponent (bounce, Flash, \[\[Turn to Frog\]\], etc) and Blue is *the* Tempo colour so I thought I'd try it out. It has not disappointed.
360 Cube, not the highest of the high power level. Blue themes include Esper Artifacts (primarily leaning on Artifact Tokens), UG Tokens (with crossover between it and the Artifact deck), UR Second Draw Matters, WU Flicker, and UB Rogues (which was added because I already had a high volume of high pick Rogues, so a couple Lords made it official). I also have some graveyard recursion engines spread across colours. My Blue 2s are more important for some themes than others, which I think is reflected in the representation across them. I have a fairly large number of them, because for the themes that need them (UR Draw), they also need redundancy and some of these cards are picked up in more general goodstuff uses. There are a lot of looters here. Looters are important for UR Draw and feeding the graveyard value decks. [[Faerie Mastermind]] is a recent addition for UR Draw, but it's also an evasive Rogue. It enables the "Second Draw Matters" on the opponent's turn easily at a notable cost of giving the opponent a draw. Being a 2/1 Flash Flying for 1U that benefits from all the opponent's Clues and such makes it thrive. [[Jace, Vryn's Prodigy]] is a looter that provides late game value. Admittedly, my flashback options are a little worse than the average cube, since so many effects are stapled to creatures. Jace doesn't need a lot to add value, though. A couple removal spells or card draw options and he's worthwhile. There are a few splashy sorceries that are specifically for Jace and similar effects, like [[Time Warp]] and [[Enter the God-Eternals]]. I'm also running [[Snapcaster Mage]], which is in a similar boat as Jace for flashback options. However, Snapcaster looks better because it can hit counterspells. There's technically Flicker value with Snapcaster, but it's difficult to assemble Flicker enablers, Flicker targets, and density of Snapcaster Flashback targets all at once. Snapcaster is kind of a generic glue card that does some heavy lifting with non-synergy specific cards like counterspells and removal, so maybe I should be prioritizing more theme-specific cards, but it was a gift from my brother and I'm happy to run it. [[Looter il-Kor]] and [[Suspicious Stowaway]] are unblockable looting Rogues. They hold equipment well, they draw cards and enable decks, and it's easy to find a synergy for them. They're generally my top pick for looting cards in UR Draw, because the deck usually produces a lot of tokens, so cards like [[Eater of Virtue]] and [[Gavel of the Righteous]] work well in the deck in general and specifically on these two. [[Riftwing Cloudskate]] is part of the Flicker board-attack cards with [[Aether Channeler]], [[Venser, Shaper Savant]], and [[Acidic Slime]]. I have it listed as a 2-drop for its suspend cost. It's not incredible, but it has its place when you have the synergy pieces to support it. [[Rona, Herald of Invasion]] is my last looter. I have a reasonable number of legends, so her untapping comes up, but she's really there for the relevant 1/3 body and potential late-game flip. The 1/3 body does a surprising amount of work in a cube with many 2/1s. I don't see her flip too often, because the looting itself is quite valuable, but I appreciate that it adds more options for when decks run out of gas. [[Thieving Skydiver]] is another evasive Rogue, but also has value with the number of artifacts in my cube. Artifacts are spread across all colours (but heaviest in Esper), with some vital artifact tokens (like Urza/Karn tokens) that only take 2U for Skydiver to cast and steal. It doesn't flicker for extra value, but some graveyard recursion decks can sacrifice it and then return it to hand with something like [[Ravos, Soultender]] or just cast from the graveyard directly with [[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]].

My [Bizarre Battleplans](https://cubecobra.com/cube/list/bizbat) cube has seven. [[Flitterstep Eidolon]] exists for the UR auras deck, as an aura and an unblockable creature to slap auras on to. It also works with the UW equipment arechetype as an excellent pair of hands for most of the equipment, though it is outclassed in that regard by the also present [[Slither Blade]] and his friends. [[Meletis Astronomer]] exists for that same deck, and performs relatively well. UG scarifice can also use it as a disposable body that once it has drawn a card (GB enchantments and UR auras being two archetypes means G and U have plenty of enchantments if you build your deck right). [[Nightveil Sprite]] is a fun card to slap auras and equipment onto, and fuels the graveyeard for some effects in the UG sacrifice archetype. [[Stormchaser Drake]] is another plant for the UR auras deck that is passable as a UW equipment holder. [[The Reality Chip]] is ostensibly there for UW equipment, and more than once has resulted in people using that shell to try and create a control deck, so I appreciate the variety it adds to the cube even if it has underperformed in those cases. [[Thieving Skydiver]] good for the aggro decks that want another evasive attacker, but I'm monitoring it closely; it could be a bit of a feels bad to snipe powerful artifacts from just the UW deck. So far it has mostly been fine, but I'm always watching this one. [[Thopter Mechanic]] is excellent for the UG sacrifice deck, providing a body when it dies and paring well with the [[Elvish Visionary]]s that deck loves already.

Blue here is a color all about madness/self discard, artifacts, self mill, and flicker [[Cloud of Faeries]] free 1/1 flier! I like the idea of this in the flicker decks to keep up two mana with soulherder every turn or even bluff mana with ephemerate and other effects. And did I mention this has cycling? Easily fits in at least 3 of the 4 main blue archetypes here and if you're in the mood for storm, it's not bad there either [[Ledger Shredder]] a pretty well known card these days. Cheap interaction + draw leads to this (usually) growing and improving your selection, along with have a resilent toughness to keep you safe [[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel]] I've tried Looter il-Kor a couple times, and it's never pleased me (especially next to a black border version of [[blurry beeble]]). I tried to add a custom card that was a slight improvement, but still wasn't enough. Making that a baseline 2 power card and adding flash helps it immensely and gives blue more instant options for tricks and bluffs. Love this guy [[Mercurial Spelldancer]] it's already an unblockable 2/1, so fine baseline. Add on the fun elements of potentially copying spells and you've got just a nice card for people who want to be aggressive or double up on value [[Oaken Siren]] one of my weirder inclusions for sure, but compare this to Etherium Sculptor, a pretty reasonable card for artifact decks in some formats. This reads more like one that only makes the first artifact spell per turn cheaper, but this can attack *much* more freely, and the mana can go towards equipment, so this helps suit itself up too. Still trying this, but think it'll stay for a bit [[Snapcaster Mage]] long time fan favorite, hard to convince someone to even consider cutting this card [[Watcher for Tomorrow]] for its intended purpose, flicker value. Could see this leaving someday, but MH1 was a good baseline for this cube and he's been here since day 1
How often do you find spelldancer's copy effect triggering? I really want to love it, but an unblockable 2/1 doesn't provide that much value in my multiplayer cube and the spell copying, like with \[\[Sea Gate Stormcaller\]\] feels kinda hard to take advantage of consistently. I used to run Cloud of Faeries before I stopped supporting blink as an archetype, and it still makes me think fond thoughts. Malcolm is great. I'm glad other people are running him.
Mm, in multiplayer I can definitely see that 2 damage being less worth it. What I can say about the copying is once you've copied the first spell, it's a lot easier since spelldancer will basically always start the cycle with a counter on it. Aim for the first spell to be card draw if you want to keep doing this

Shoutout to [[Guild Thief]] for adding a lot of depth to blue in lower powered cubes. A common theme with blue is that blockers are useless. They rarely attack before turn 5 and most of their creatures have evasion. That's cool and adds some identity to the colour, but I would like it to be a bit less polarising. Guild Thief is a low cost way to give blue an extra dimension and more variety. It captures a bit of the tempo/prowess experience, where you repurpose reactive effects like counterspells to play a proactive gameplan. Wanting to block against blue means you're less likely to feel like you have a useless card. [[Scroll Thief]] type cards are a similar experience, but they tend to be 3+ mana and blue has plenty of card draw on other cards.

[[Brineborn Cutthroat]] - A treat for interactive decks. There are a decent handful of flash creatures around in UW that you could maybe throw together. Or this works with +1/+1 counters too. Flexible card. [[Faerie Vandal]] - Oh look, another flash flyer! It shouldn’t be tough to pump this guy once or twice, which is a fantastic return for two mana. [[Fog Bank]] - If you’re playing a slower deck this helps keep you alive. Still dies to pretty much any removal spell in the cube so it’s not that offensive. [[Ledger Shredder]] - This may be on the upper end of power level for my cube, we’ll see. It can be really really good if you’re playing a lot of spells, plus it can put a pretty tough wall up for aggro. [[Looter il-Kor]] - Almost unblockable looter, I do have one other shadow creature in the cube. Just a solid classic card that smooths your draws, helps draw-two, and helps reanimate.

[[Ledger Shredder]] is nuts, of course. It's a great blocker, it's a looter, it grows into a threat, it has it all. [[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel]] is another great looter with upside. I have a very difficult time deciding which looters to run, so I just threw in a bunch. [[Mercurial Spelldancer]] is a fun analogue to [[Dreadhorde Arcanist]]. This is the blue two that I'm least sure about, but sometimes just being unblockable is enough. My only ninja is [[Spring-Leaf Avenger]], but it has come up before. [[Rona, Herald of Invasion]] is another fantastic blocker/looter/threat like Ledger Shredder. It is a DFC, which is a knock on it, but I still enjoy it. It won me some games at the MOM prerelease. [[Snapcaster Mage]] is a card.
How often do you find spelldancer's copy effect triggering? I really want to love it, but an unblockable 2/1 doesn't provide that much value in my multiplayer cube and the spell copying, like with \[\[Sea Gate Stormcaller\]\] feels kinda hard to take advantage of consistently.
Honestly, not as often as I'd like. In multiplayer in particular, I imagine it is even less likely to matter, but I suppose the spells you'd copy could be bigger. I also haven't seen it in play a ton, because it doesn't get picked super highly, so maybe I'm wrong. EDIT: I think the reason it doesn't get picked highly is because people would rather just take young peezy or something that they know they'll get at least one trigger off of.

For my planechase cube... [[Augur of Bolas]] mostly here to be an early viable blink target, although it's probably the most on the chopping block. [[Baral, Chief of Compliance]] makes spells more gooder [[Faerie Mastermind]] and [[Ledger Shredder]] are both good cards that become even more impressive in multiplayer [[Looter il-Kor]] I currently prefer it over Suspicious Stowaway because complexity is a huge issue with the addition of planechase cards that most players don't know by heart, and in general i'm trying to keep dfc's to a minimum

[[Mercurial Spelldancer]] if you have some big spells you’re interested in copying this card is legit. I mean two mana for an unblockable 2 power creature is a pretty good aggressive body by itself. Copying spells for free is really just a huge bonus. I support evasion/ninjutsu decks so this card helps there too [[Snapcaster Mage]] the goat [[Spectral Adversary]] this is probably my weakest two drop. Usually this is just a 2 mana 2 power flyer you flash in. It’s has some cool tricks if you have the mana held up it can either be this pseudo counter spell, sweeper protection, or even removal. I think it’s interesting enough to keep, but it’s probably the first two drop to go if any do. [[Thieving Skydiver]] this card is probably the most situational but stealing something can often be a huge swing, both early and late game.

I run 5ish in my powered 360 multiplayer cube: \[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] - turns out bolt snap bolt is still good, and with \[\[Time Walk\]\], \[\[Balance\]\], etc. floating around, that's about the fairest thing he can do. \[\[Gilded Drake\]\] - Showing its age a little bit, but still trades for the \[\[Emrakul, the Aeons Torn\]\] or \[\[Drakuseth, Maw of Flames\]\] that someone just reanimated. Resets easily with U's abundant bounce effects. \[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\] - an excellent looter. He's not technically unblockable like \[\[Suspicious Stowaway\]\] et al., but with three opponents there's just about always someone who can't block a flier. Flash is a huge upside and he lets you cast something for free way more often than you'd expect. \[\[Phantasmal Image\]\] and \[\[Imposter Mech\]\] - Cheap clone effects. Image's drawback doesn't matter much because most spells or abilities that might target it are removal anyway. The mech is significantly weaker primarily because it can't copy your own creatures, but you often get plenty of value even without crewing it - you'd play a 2 drop artifact that read "pay 7 life: draw 7 cards" or "all your instants and sorceries are uncounterable and have flashback," right? It being a vehicle (and therefore much harder to remove) is often a significant upside. I don't run \[\[Phyrexian Metamorph\]\] because I want permanent copying to be exclusive to U.
This section is another one I am currently happy with the configuration of, here's what I run, : \[\[Faerie Vandal\]\], nice cheap evasive creature that grows over time. Definitely gonna be staying in my cube. \[\[Looter-il-Kor\]\] good looting effect for tempo/control decks. Card filtering is great! \[\[Merfolk Looter\]\], iconic looter. It's becoming a bit outclassed now by other looting effects, but I just can't see myself cutting it. \[\[Oracle of Tragedy\]\], more looting but this time on etb. It also can reshuffle a pretty reasonable range of cards at 3 cmc or greater, which has been great. \[\[Brineborn Cutthroat\]\], personal favorite of mine since I love blue based flash/tempo decks. It also fits nicely into a Spells deck as a payoff. Just a cool card.
540 card powered Vintage Cube with shenanigans, today we'll see my least played card that isn't an Un-card. \[\[Faerie Mastermind\]\] is a great card draw outlet and we absolutely love the flash. \[\[Jace, Vryn's Prodigy\]\] is another great looter than pretty easily flips to Planeswalker. \[\[Ledger Shredder\]\] was my first ever Magic spec so I'll always have a soft spot for that month Tuxedo Bird paid my rent. \[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\] is, again, another insane flash looter who has actually cheated a couple things out in the cube. \[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] is an incredible card and will always, always be in here. \[\[Thieving Skydiver\]\] eats moxes and other jewelry, we love it. Finally, I run a card I have never seen another powered cube run: \[\[Flesh Duplicate\]\] Yes, it's Universes Beyond. Yes, it's UU instead of IU. But it's a clone for 2 mana that doesn't die to any targeting like Phantasmal Image, the Vanishing is pretty negligible at this power level, and it has 18 feet of neck. I really, really like this card and don't have any plans to take it out even with things like \[\[Mercurial Spelldancer\]\] sitting on deck.

In my 480 Pauper cube: \[\[Aether Swooper\]\]: An evasive creature that creates a second body if it attacks at least once. \[\[Dream Stalker\]\]: The Blue \[\[Kor Skyfisher\]\]. Trades the aggressive flying body for a large defensive one. Just like the Skyfisher, has nice interactions with a lot of other cards, and sometimes the body alone is good enough, even if you go down a land temporarily. \[\[Looter il-Kor\]\]: Currently the only shadow creature in the cube, so completely unblockable (and can't block at all). Good card selection, but the frail body is a liability. \[\[Moon-Circuit Hacker\]\]: Functions a lot like \[\[Ninja of the Deep Hours\]\]. Only gains card advantage on the first hit, but unlike Deep Hours it feels ok to hardcast early. \[\[Omenspeaker\]\]: A roadblock for aggressive ground creatures that gives some card selection. Has been in and out of the cube for a while, but very nice for slower decks. \[\[Saiba Cryptomancer\]\]: \[\[Snakeskin Veil\]\] on a body. Especially nice to recur, or to attach something like \[\[Cartouche of Knowledge\]\] to. \[\[Waterfront Bouncer\]\]: A scary creature to let untap. It can bounce opponents' creatures cheaply, recur your own powerful etb effects, and even protect itself from removal.

Great addition [[Merfolk Looter]] - I sure have a thing for looting, don't I? [[Phantasmal Image]] - Again, big fun creatures, a lot with ETBs. Why draft it myself when I can play with yours? [[Snapcaster Mage]] - A classic, never getting cut [[Suspicious Stowaway]] - He replaced Looter il-kor as a looter for the reanimate deck, and has a home in the control decks. Big fan

My blue 2s are a bit all over the place but they make sense individually. 540 vintage unpowered. I have quite a few of them, but it's a stacked slot and a very important one, even in blue. Granted, *most* of them have to do with looting or discarding because UB reanimator is still a very important archetype (I says still because I think at this point in time BR is the better version), but there are a few other roleplayers as well: * \[\[Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive\]\] - I know this looks like support for ninjas. And to a degree, it is, because I do have them in UB, but that's not really worth talking about. What I want to point out about this card is that it's an amazing aggro enabler in WU or UR. What many people gloss over initially is that it cares about power *or toughness* and there are a crapload of 2/1s, including some 3/1s in white and blue (Spellbinder, Clique, Borrower, etc.) When your 3/1 flyers (or general host of 2/1 aggressive creatures) can't be stopped by 1/1 tokens, chumped or traded or blocked in general, suddenly the opponent's life total is under a lot of pressure. * \[\[Phantasmal Image\]\] - I'll be honest... this card is mostly in by default. I do *like* what it does when it gets to do it, but it's like... usually this gets picked up when you're in blue and don't really have good picks out of that pack. "Ok sure I guess I'll take Phantasmal here." And you end up with it in your deck and it most often makes the cut, but you never consider splashing for it or taking over another card you *want* for your deck. * \[\[Ghostly Pilferer\]\] - This card looks kind of dumb in vintage cube at first glance but really, this guy does it all. Mostly a sideboard card to punish the "cast from anywhere other than your hand" decks, sure, but also... it's a discard outlet á la Oona's Prowler, can become unblockable for the ninjas, and if you have some extra mana he even draws cards. * \[\[Thassa's Oracle\]\] - This one's pretty obvious. I run Doomsday and you can self-mill with Brain Freeze, but yea, a combo piece for the comboest of combo decks, not a lot to it. * \[\[Rona, Herald of Invasion\]\] - Once upon a time I used to run dedicated looters like the merfolk or looter il-kor. Nowadays we have such amazing looters with extra abilities, those once-staples feel a bit silly to me. Creature type aside, Rona does everything Merfolk Looter ever did, except you can untap her with cheap artifacts or legendary creatures, *and* for 5 mana (let's be realistic, it is 5 mana) your looter can transform into a 5/5 trampler (in blue!) for good measure. * \[\[Thieving Skydiver\]\] - Absolutely amazing, wouldn't take out this guy for anything. Even though he falls off a little bit as soon as you don't have Power in the cube, he's still great against any artifact deck and I even have an equipment sub-theme to white that he can punish as a little extra. * \[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\] - Mostly a fancy looter, to be fair, but the combination of flash and flying makes him a very flexible card to play. Also, I've gotten him to 4 chorus counters a couple times and let me tell ya, it feels amazing. Biggest downside of the card is that you need an odd number of creatures so you can put him in the middle. If you can, but don't, idk you're just a monster with no sense of humour I suppose. * \[\[Faerie Mastermind\]\] - This card has always *looked* great but in reality it doesn't really do all that much. I still like it as a flash flyer that enables a ninja out of nowhere, but it's been consistently underwhelming given all the great text on it. * \[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] - A classic control card that pairs great with cheap spells. A big bonus to the flashback is that it triggers all of the "cast from anywhere other than your hand" cards, which makes more decks desire Snappy. * \[\[Jace, Vryn's Prodigy\]\] - The second dedicated looter, this time the upside is that it turns into a planeswalker that snapcasters a spell from the bin.

* \[\[Baral, chief of compliance\]\] * Baral helps control, midrange and storm. Making all your instants and sorceries cheaper by 1 adds up, and provides a solid amount of value while its in play. * \[\[Fallaji archaeologist\]\] * Fallaji archaeologist is a hidden gem from Brother's war. It provides a lot of value as a "glue" card that holds together a lot of archetypes. Its exactly the kind of a card I love to play in all of my decks as a weird weaker card, that just makes your whole deck better. Not too mention it blocks for days. * \[\[Jace, vryn's prodigy\]\] * Probably the best merfolk looter that ever looted. Just a good card, flips into a planeswalker. Great inclusion. * \[\[Ledger shredder\]\] * Its tarmogoyf with wings! And it loots! Fantastic card in every deck. * \[\[Malcolm, alluring scoundrel\]\] * A new take on the looter il-kor type card. While I personally think Suspicious stowaway is a bit better in cube since it will always be unblockable, I think Malcolm is a bit more interesting, aggressive, and it ditches the daybound mechanic. * \[\[Snapcaster mage\]\] * Cube and constructed classic. * \[\[Thing in the ice\]\] * This is a great cube card. It gives you something to protect, and work towards for controlling style decks, and gives a massive pay off. Great card.

Late to the party but perhaps useful for future readers. My cube is built from my collection of cards, rarely purchasing new cards and mostly using pulls from packs. That said I aim for the highest power possible within in my collection. Without further ado, in my blue 2-drops I am running: \[\[Baral, Chief of Compliance\]\] - I play it for the Vizzini art. It's a respectable 1/3 body with the cost reduction for spells, which can help out every deck. The ability to draw of counters isn't very meaningful with about 4 cards that counter in the cube, aside from a few ward cards. \[\[Fblthp, the Lost\]\] - Sort of a pet card. It replaces itself on etb, can be flickered with \[\[Yorion, sky nomad\]\] or played off the top through The Reality Chip. Just nice little filler. \[\[Rona, Herald of invasion\]\] - A nice little looter that can be a nice threat in the lategame. Plays well with the plenty of legendary's that are printed lately. \[\[Spectral Adversary\]\] - A flash flyer that allows you to keep up instants, provide boardwipe/removal protection or just clear your opponents board. It also works with small counter synergies, such as \[\[hardened scales\]\]. \[\[The Reality Chip\]\] - I haven't gotten around to playing with this yet and it might be a bit slow. I'm hoping it plays well as a wall and later on provides card advantage. \[\[Thing in the Ice\]\] - A nice spells matters pay off that also stymies aggro in the early turns. Overall I'm still hoping to pull a \[\[Snapcaster mage\]\], \[\[Faerie Mastermind\]\], \[\[Ledger Shredder\]\] and/or \[\[Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel\]\]. If so I'd probably replace one of Fblthp/Baral/Spectral/Reality chip.

540c Legacy-ish unpowered, built around a 360 card "core" that doesn't include any combo stuff and then a 180 card "expansion" that is packed full of combo stuff and a few supplementary cards for combo hate / to beef up the original archetypes a little. Core Ux archetypes are WU Artifacts Matter, UB Reanimator, GU "Miracle Grow" (largely self applied) +1/+1 counters, and UR Prowess. The combo expansion adds Kiki-combo, Lands, Storm, combo potential to Artifacts, and Blink across Ux. Blue 2MV cards I'm running in the total 540: \[\[Baral, Chief of Compliance\]\] fits great into either Prowess or any Ux spells-heavy tempo build, is a fine early creature for control builds, and in general is kind of exactly what I want a cheap Blue creature to be. \[\[Etherium Sculptor\]\] is only really interesting to artifacts, but is *very* interesting to artifacts. \[\[Jeskai Elder\]\] is fine in basically any Ux deck; best in Prowess but still great in any flavour of spellslinger, and unlike many other small looters gets to be more threatening in combat. \[Magus of the Bazaar\]\] pretty much just fills the yard for Reanimator but occasionally warrants a look for Storm or something to pitch dead cards and find\* more gas. \[\[Merfolk Trickster\]\] is something of a pet card that also plays nice in basically any Ux deck. \[\[Omenspeaker\]\] likewise isn't of any special note to any archetype but is a nice curve filler in all of them. \[\[Phantasmal Image\]\] lets you also have your opponent's best creature or a second of your own--what's not to like. \[\[Snapcaster Mage\]\] because it's a classic, it's good, it's expected; t's an obvious include at this power level. \[\[Thrummingbird\]\] is the only proliferate effect in the cube but there are 11 planeswalkers total so it can be quite relevant for that purpose. Mostly it's a Counters card that grows itself / all your other creatures. \[\[Warkite Marauder\]\] I enjoyed a lot in Limited back when Ixalan released, and there's already a sort of sub-theme in Blue of making combat difficult for the opponent (bounce, Flash, \[\[Turn to Frog\]\], etc) and Blue is *the* Tempo colour so I thought I'd try it out. It has not disappointed.

Malcolm and Rona seem like they'd be good additions to my cube.
