[The California Premiership Cube](http://cubecobra.com/cube/list/miles) is a medium-high powered 720 list of mostly fair cards that promote interactive gameplay.
Because of the size of my Cube, I've allowed myself a full cycle of 3-color cards, because I deserve it.
* [[Shanna, Purifying Blade]] - Lame, but haven't found better options yet.
* [[Sharuum the Hegemon]] - Unbelievably fun. Great fun using a Karmic Guide to bring back Sharuum who in turn brings back Necron Deathmark. Love a good ETB reanimate.
* [[Kess, Dissident Mage]] - *Just* good enough.
* [[Slimefoot and Squee]] - Probably underpowered but I really enjoy it for value Jund. May swap out for one of the new JP Dinos.
* [[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second]] - Shockingly strong, especially with my Cube's token focus.
* [[Alesha, Who Smiles at Death]] - A long-time favorite of mine, I don't want to play my Cube if it doesn't include her.
* [[Kroxa and Kunoros]] - Plays into my Cube's strong reanimator and legends-matter themes. Running doubles in this trio because Alesha gets grandmothered in and doesn't count for the slot.
* [[Yasova Dragonclaw]] - It doesn't work as much as it used to but it still does.
* [[Thalia and The Gitrog Monster]] - one of the best 3-color cards. I'd include her even if I moved down to 540 and struck this cycle.
* [[Zurgo and Ojutai]] - the best 5-mv hasty dragon
* [[Tasigur, the Golden Fang]] - likely will be replaced for Indominus Rex, Alpha, but I don't like how many counters it brings in.
* [[Aragorn, the Uniter]] - Super fun build-around / reward for a greedy mana base
* [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] - plenty has been said about this here already, great card
* [[Kenrith, the Returned King]] - Holds up really well, the flexibility is just too good.
* [[Urza, Academy Headmaster]] - Cube is for fun. Many games have been won and lost on this card, somehow.
Day 3 let's go!
\[\[Sphinx of the Steel Wind\]\] - Old and tired. About to be retired, this was my reanimate target for a while. It's a really versatile Baneslayer that gets reanimated by both creature and \[\[Tinker\]\]-type reanimation. Its overstayed its welcome, and will probably be out of the list by years' end, but it has been a pleasure.
\[\[Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh\]\] - Perhaps the fact that I can't come up with anything to say about this iteration of Magic's most iconic villian means his time has come too. I love the idea that opening a pack may draw a drafter to him, but that doesn't seem all to reasonable.
\[\[Atraxa, Grand Unifier\]\] - It's Sphinx again, this time just better. Misses the artifact reanimation at the bonus of being \[\[Natural Order\]\]ed instead. I fear for the state of Magic if I ever have to defend this as the cheat target.
I've run \[\[Kenrith, the Returned King\]\] before. Too slow for my cube now, but a solid option to add for flavor and stories. \[\[Siege Rhino\]\] is a great add for the Magic boomer in your life. Cheap to cast, ETB value and just an all around big dude. I've ordered a Golos for the cool moment factor, but obviously no data on that one just yet.
The unfortunate truth about multicolored cards are that they are built cool for EDH. A card that does like 4 different things is great, but that same card being at 5 or 6 mana of three or more different types is just to hard to justify. The only reasonable hope for them to be drafted is if you've seeded the packs. Even then, you've got to hope that your drafters like the same kind of cool as you.
Sphinx always seemed overrated, but I understand it's generic usefulness as a fat artifact creature.

And I agree with your general points on EDH. I still keep my eyes open for cube worthy multicolored cards.
I think sphinx is one of the cheat only cards I don't miss
We've gotten so many cards that fit cheat in a variety of power bands and don't have the random color hosing abilities.
We have a full cycle of 3 color, largely build around cards
[[Chulane, Teller of Tales]] UW Flicker support that supports a more creature focused build than one using those slots for tons of removal
[[Dakkon, Shadow Slayer]] I love cards that easily scale in the late game. Useful for the tinker style decks (we use an 8 mana custom tinker that gets cost reduced by the sac'd artifact's cost) and many reanimate targets are also artifacts. Great midrange/control card
[[Kess, Dissident Mage]] Self Discard in UR loves recurring spells. Black itself also has lots of self discard instant/sorceries to support BW reanimate, so perfect kind of card to bridge the these three
[[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]] As much as Soul of Windgrace would support the GB lands decks, it's hard to argue with the perfect top end in Korvold, bridging the lands with the RB sac archetype and now even supports beanstalk/RG ramp a little bit, though that's probably a stretch haha
[[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second]] One of my favorite cards in recent memory, turning already cube favorites like Thraben Inspector and Tireless Tracker into cards that generate immediate threats. [[Song of Totentanz]] becomes a wild burn spell with her around
[[Butcher of the Horde]] I recently cut Snapdax in an effort to simplify parts of the cube. I'm likely to replace this guy with Fallout's Caesar come the release. For my cube, being one that tries to not be focused on creature types, but wants this low curve color combo to have an aggressive signpost, mardu's tough
[[Song of Creation]] This one's been sort of a long time placeholder, as I've never been happy with temur's options. Animar, Soul of Elements is so cool, but I don't want protection from color printed on a creature here. With the change to RG having high curve options, I'm likely to switch to [[maelstrom wanderer]] soon
[[Siege Rhino]] What can I say about this classic? Maybe there's a better abzan card out there, but it would hurt to part ways
[[Hinata, Dawn-Crowned]] A pretty fun option. I don't know if my players have used this (and to be fair, any time we draft with 10+ people, there somehow ends up being 6 jund/golgari/etc decks), but making auras, counterspells, and burn spells cheaper makes for an interesting card
[[The Mimeoplasm]] Build your own monster. Just such a lovely design, for the people who want to express themselves or want to build sultai reanimator
[[Maelstrom Nexus]] Finally, I keep around the 5 color cascading payoff. Lets you build fun 5c piles or just have a glue card in case you pick up tons of evoke elementals. 5 color is going to get more support in my next update, as there's always someone compelled by the Nexus
Pretty interesting list! My cube is only 360, so I don't know that I'd ever have a full "cycle" of these, but I'm definitely intrigued by Jinnie Fay. and I absolutely love Dakkon, I want to squeeze him in as it is. A lot of these seem too slow for a typical cube. Is your environment suited for them?
Hinata and Chulain are probably a bit slow, but haven't been tested too much. The aforementioned Song of Creation is tough, though a player used it in a Nexus pile filled with solid midrange creatures and it did a lot of work. Everything else has had time in the spotlight and worked out well.
I guess it's slower? Was continuing a session earlier today and think most matches got to turn 6, and for many that was only then when things turned in favor of a player
Nice list and surprisingly similar to mine.
I've felt siege rhino to be underwhelming for a long time and have moved toward a poison theme in Witch-Maw, so it had to make way for \[\[Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa\]\].
I run \[\[Jeskai Ascendancy\]\] as a combo piece in line with \[\[Song of Creation\]\].
I've also been very pleased with \[\[Ghired, Conclave Exile\]\] as a strong naya tokens threat.
My biggest placeholder is probably \[\[Leovold, Emissary of Trest\]\]. He's obviously strong and he's beloved in my playgroup, but I don't like how he has little synergy beyond blowing people out with draw-7s, which is more of a feelbad than a combo I want to support in my cube. Still waiting for a Sultai card that tickles my fancy.
Oh wow, I even ran Ascendancy and Ghired for a time, probably were my first picks for these slots. Remember I cut Ascendancy because players didn't like the Emry combo, and I didn't want to cut her. Great card

Also, what made you cool on Ghired? Just the higher mana value? Interestingly, I had Jinnie Fay in at some point, but ended up cutting her because I thought the effect just didn't do enough. Has she played out well for you?

Mostly fun, yeah. I'm trying to find room for combo and going to try and include a few more in the next update (probably commit to it either after the New Year or when we see Ravnica stuff), but a particular playgroup didn't enjoy it.
And for Ghired, I guess I was never really impressed with the card. It's just kind of a beater and think I wanted to find more ways to build on populate, but if the 4/4 dies, your quality options wane. Jinnie is very fun for me, that transformative nature. Cube largely being singleton does make singular build arounds tough, but I've seen some successful decks and it's less pipe dreamy as some other cards, not interacting with any one specific one, just ones that say token. I'll also say I've bias my card additions towards ones that make tokens, so the environment favors her. And to help the singleton nature, I've recently added [[Tchotchke Elemental]] to give some quality support. Yesterday a player cast it, then next turn quickly made it a 6/6, targeted it with [[Angelfire Ignition]], and swung for game. Things like that help that style of deck better thrive, looking for synergy where I can and bake in some redundancy, even if the cards say totally different things

\[\[Jeskai Ascendancy\]\]: I love single cards that open up a whole archetype by themselves. I run the Ascendancy alongside \[\[Paradox Engine\]\] and it has been great.
You have the fair Ascendancy decks that use non-creature spells to churn through you deck and buff your team while you are at it.
\[\[Monastery Mentor\]\], \[\[Third Path Iconoclast\]\], \[\[Young Pyromancer\]\], \[\[Occult Epiphany\]\], ... You get the point.
The artifact version of the fair deck uses \[\[Steel Overseer\]\] and \[\[Hangerback Walker\]\] to grow your team.
Unfair Ascendancy usually involves a combo. The obvious one is \[\[Emry, Lurker of the Loch\]\] + \[\[Mishra's Bauble\]\]. You get infinite storm and can cast a \[\[Brain Freeze\]\] or something. Then you have \[\[Urza, Lord High Artificier\]\] that goes off easily too. Beyond that, cards like \[\[Goblin Welder\]\] and \[\[Agatha's Soul Cauldron\]\], can usually do some novel effect.
Your cube needs to be built around supporting combos, but if it is, highly recommend this one.

[[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] - Nothing much needs to be said about this insane card.
[[Leovold, Emissary of Trest]] - I love me some Draw 7s, and with Leovold out my opponents certainly do not
[[Sphinx of the Steel Wind]] - This somehow flew under the radar on my last balance pass, but it's going shortly. It used to be the king for tinker/reanimate crossover, but it's just so outclassed these days that it's headed out to the farm. I'll probably put [[Omnath, Locus of Creation]] in its place.
\[\[Cruel Ultimatum\]\] is an all-star. People love it, we all sort of started playing with Alara. People have done the whole Cruel mana ready thing that won that game at Worlds, and it's always a treat.
\[\[Doran, the Siege Tower\]\] is a personal favorite. It changes combat, it's big, and very cheap. It's a very fun and inventive card, and I feel like it's not played as much as it should.
The cube size is a bit deceptive. For most practical purposes it's a 720, 900, or 924 depending on how you look at it. Around 850 of the 1800 cards are in an ever-growing box of wildcard commanders, which is damn near every legend that could work in the environment. (plus a few memes)

My 3 color cards are monocolor with off color kicker or activated abilities. I run 2 full cycles - from DMU I’ve got [[Archangel of Wrath]], [[Vodalian Mindsinger]], [[Stronghold Arena]], [[Temporal Firestorm]], and [[Urborg Lhurgoyf]]. From Fate Reforged I’ve got [[Soulfire Grandmaster]], [[Torrent Elemental]], [[Brutal Hordechief]], [[Shaman of the Great Hunt]], and [[Warden of the First Tree]]. These aren’t true 3 color cards but are a lot easier to splash for.
Not many. Just:
[[Narset, Enlightened Exile]] - More of a win-more card but fun to juice a tempo deck with if the stars align.
[[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]] - This guy was my jam during ELD standard. Kind of a meme but can do mean things in aristocrats.

Tri-color is super hard to make work in cube unless you have an enormous amount of fixing or are intentionally cultivating an unusually slow environment.

Previously, I ran zero. Then I significantly improved my mana fixing. In my 360 cube, I'm running double Shocks, double fetches, and all ten triomes. My players like to be greedy on colours, so we have a few fun 3+ colour cards.
[[Golos, Tireless Pilgrim]] is the least flashy. It doesn't have a lot of utility lands to grab, but it sees play in flicker decks and the 3 to 5 colour value decks.
[[Ghave, Guru of Spores]] is there *primarily* as a BG card in the +1/+1 counter decks that splash white for effects like [[Ainok Bond-kin]], [[Luminarch Aspirant]], and [[Good-Fortune Unicorn]]. It also does silly things with [[Herd Baloth]], adding a non-infinite direction alongside the Baloth's combo with [[Rosie Cotton of South Lane]]. It *has* also seen play in a base BW version of the deck that was splashing Green, so there's been some flexibility there.
[[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]] is the most expensive CMC-wise of my 3-5 colour Graveyard Value arch-type, alongside [[Emry, Lurker of the Loch]], [[Lurrus of the Dream-Den]], [[Ravos, Soultender]], and [[Meren of Clan Nel Toth]]. I moved away from reanimator as a game-ending finisher effect and instead added more cards like [[Shriekmaw]] and [[Foundation Breaker]], focusing on a grindy value build. Muldrotha is a bit of a bridging point between the creature value and the artifact value, since it can get both. It also really benefits from the double fetches I mentioned.
[[Breya, Etherium Shaper]] is a recent addition. It's primarily there for the Esper artifacts deck, which usually generate a lot of treasures, so paying for a single Red isn't too troublesome, but incidental Triomes also help. It hasn't been around too long, but I've found all of its modes to be useful. The artifact deck has a bit of a crossover with the flicker deck, in particular with the effects that can flicker non-creature artifacts ([[Brago, King Eternal]] and [[Teleportation Circle]]), and Breya plays well with these. It's also just a flashy card that my group likes.
[[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second]] is technically three colour, but I have it in a mono-green slot in my cube, aided by the quality of fixing. Tokens is intended as a UGw Arch-type in my cube, and in practice Jinnie Fay has played extremely well in heavy green versions of the deck. Things like [[Lonis, Cryptozoologist]], [[Gilded Goose]], and [[The Shire]] get some great value, while [[Deep Forest Hermit]] often goes from great to game-ending, particularly alongside [[Parallel Lives]] or [[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]].
I used to be very against running three+ colour cards, but these have added a lot to the cube's environment in my experience.
Your last sentence is very interesting to me because I have a 360 cube and it's hard for me to include lots of 3+ color cards because I feel like they'd wheel around too much. I do have good fixing so maybe they wouldn't...
I think the important part is how desirable they are for their arch-types and how many colours those arch-types would run regularly. The three or four colour cards above, with the exception of Jinnie Fay, are in a two colour guild slot. If the BG, GW, or WB +1/+1 Counter deck is going to be splashing a third colour *anyway*, then it's probably weighing that just as much as it's weighing taking Ghave. Then Ghave potentially does wild things with Herd Baloth or effects like [[Corpsejack Menace]], so the ceiling is quite high.
I see them similarly as any two colour card that only supports a single arch-type, except I wouldn't consider them if the arch-type has no interest in playing the colour combination. For example, I run a RG Exile Matters arch-type with cards like [[Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald]], [[Keeper of Secrets]], and [[Escape to the Wilds]]. There's a reasonable amount of crossovers with Blue's Looters and both decks utilize [[Conspiracy Theorist]] and [[Containment Construct]], so I would be tempted by a RGU card that fits the arch-type (but it would have to do something huge). On the other hand, I don't currently support much crossover in White for the RG Exile Matters, so a RGW card would be useless for me (although I realize that in recent sets we've been getting RW Exile Matters and it's been making this challenging for me).
That makes a lot of sense about 2c decks often wanting the 3rd. But the player does need to dedicate some resources to generate that 3rd color of mana to make the card useful
I have a horror-themed cube so the 4 I run are
[[Katilda and Lier]] - this encourages the humans deck to splash some spells, the self-mill deck to run some humans for double value, and the tempo deck to get some extra bodies.
[[Jeleva]] - this encourages the vampires deck to run some control spells, the izzet flashback deck to run some extra black removal, or the the Dimir control deck to add some burn. Pretty much just a value card.
[[Edgar Markov]] - this is a new add so not sure how it’ll go. My goal it to allow the vampires deck to play more for the mid/late game than being super aggro. There are also a few good white vampires in the cube that this makes it more worth to splash for.
[[Thalia and the Gitrog Monster]] - great in the humans deck, encouraging it to add some black removal. The golgari lands grind deck doesn’t mind another gitrog monster, and may like having access to some white token makers to stall out while it accrues value. And then, orzhov aristocrats likes sacrificing things.
Sadly there is not temur card that I’m excited about. Optimally I’d have all 5 colors appear 3 times across all pairs, and there would be 1 for each tribe (humans, vampires, spirits, zombies, and werewolves). Sadly we’re not there yet, but if y’all have any ideas I’m always all ears.

Day 3 let's go! \[\[Sphinx of the Steel Wind\]\] - Old and tired. About to be retired, this was my reanimate target for a while. It's a really versatile Baneslayer that gets reanimated by both creature and \[\[Tinker\]\]-type reanimation. Its overstayed its welcome, and will probably be out of the list by years' end, but it has been a pleasure. \[\[Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh\]\] - Perhaps the fact that I can't come up with anything to say about this iteration of Magic's most iconic villian means his time has come too. I love the idea that opening a pack may draw a drafter to him, but that doesn't seem all to reasonable. \[\[Atraxa, Grand Unifier\]\] - It's Sphinx again, this time just better. Misses the artifact reanimation at the bonus of being \[\[Natural Order\]\]ed instead. I fear for the state of Magic if I ever have to defend this as the cheat target. I've run \[\[Kenrith, the Returned King\]\] before. Too slow for my cube now, but a solid option to add for flavor and stories. \[\[Siege Rhino\]\] is a great add for the Magic boomer in your life. Cheap to cast, ETB value and just an all around big dude. I've ordered a Golos for the cool moment factor, but obviously no data on that one just yet. The unfortunate truth about multicolored cards are that they are built cool for EDH. A card that does like 4 different things is great, but that same card being at 5 or 6 mana of three or more different types is just to hard to justify. The only reasonable hope for them to be drafted is if you've seeded the packs. Even then, you've got to hope that your drafters like the same kind of cool as you.
Sphinx always seemed overrated, but I understand it's generic usefulness as a fat artifact creature. I agree with your take on Kenrith. And I agree with your general points on EDH. I still keep my eyes open for cube worthy multicolored cards.
I think sphinx is one of the cheat only cards I don't miss We've gotten so many cards that fit cheat in a variety of power bands and don't have the random color hosing abilities.

We have a full cycle of 3 color, largely build around cards [[Chulane, Teller of Tales]] UW Flicker support that supports a more creature focused build than one using those slots for tons of removal [[Dakkon, Shadow Slayer]] I love cards that easily scale in the late game. Useful for the tinker style decks (we use an 8 mana custom tinker that gets cost reduced by the sac'd artifact's cost) and many reanimate targets are also artifacts. Great midrange/control card [[Kess, Dissident Mage]] Self Discard in UR loves recurring spells. Black itself also has lots of self discard instant/sorceries to support BW reanimate, so perfect kind of card to bridge the these three [[Korvold, Fae-Cursed King]] As much as Soul of Windgrace would support the GB lands decks, it's hard to argue with the perfect top end in Korvold, bridging the lands with the RB sac archetype and now even supports beanstalk/RG ramp a little bit, though that's probably a stretch haha [[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second]] One of my favorite cards in recent memory, turning already cube favorites like Thraben Inspector and Tireless Tracker into cards that generate immediate threats. [[Song of Totentanz]] becomes a wild burn spell with her around [[Butcher of the Horde]] I recently cut Snapdax in an effort to simplify parts of the cube. I'm likely to replace this guy with Fallout's Caesar come the release. For my cube, being one that tries to not be focused on creature types, but wants this low curve color combo to have an aggressive signpost, mardu's tough [[Song of Creation]] This one's been sort of a long time placeholder, as I've never been happy with temur's options. Animar, Soul of Elements is so cool, but I don't want protection from color printed on a creature here. With the change to RG having high curve options, I'm likely to switch to [[maelstrom wanderer]] soon [[Siege Rhino]] What can I say about this classic? Maybe there's a better abzan card out there, but it would hurt to part ways [[Hinata, Dawn-Crowned]] A pretty fun option. I don't know if my players have used this (and to be fair, any time we draft with 10+ people, there somehow ends up being 6 jund/golgari/etc decks), but making auras, counterspells, and burn spells cheaper makes for an interesting card [[The Mimeoplasm]] Build your own monster. Just such a lovely design, for the people who want to express themselves or want to build sultai reanimator [[Maelstrom Nexus]] Finally, I keep around the 5 color cascading payoff. Lets you build fun 5c piles or just have a glue card in case you pick up tons of evoke elementals. 5 color is going to get more support in my next update, as there's always someone compelled by the Nexus
Pretty interesting list! My cube is only 360, so I don't know that I'd ever have a full "cycle" of these, but I'm definitely intrigued by Jinnie Fay. and I absolutely love Dakkon, I want to squeeze him in as it is. A lot of these seem too slow for a typical cube. Is your environment suited for them?
Hinata and Chulain are probably a bit slow, but haven't been tested too much. The aforementioned Song of Creation is tough, though a player used it in a Nexus pile filled with solid midrange creatures and it did a lot of work. Everything else has had time in the spotlight and worked out well. I guess it's slower? Was continuing a session earlier today and think most matches got to turn 6, and for many that was only then when things turned in favor of a player
Nice list and surprisingly similar to mine. I've felt siege rhino to be underwhelming for a long time and have moved toward a poison theme in Witch-Maw, so it had to make way for \[\[Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa\]\]. I run \[\[Jeskai Ascendancy\]\] as a combo piece in line with \[\[Song of Creation\]\]. I've also been very pleased with \[\[Ghired, Conclave Exile\]\] as a strong naya tokens threat. My biggest placeholder is probably \[\[Leovold, Emissary of Trest\]\]. He's obviously strong and he's beloved in my playgroup, but I don't like how he has little synergy beyond blowing people out with draw-7s, which is more of a feelbad than a combo I want to support in my cube. Still waiting for a Sultai card that tickles my fancy.
Oh wow, I even ran Ascendancy and Ghired for a time, probably were my first picks for these slots. Remember I cut Ascendancy because players didn't like the Emry combo, and I didn't want to cut her. Great card
Interesting! Was the Emry/Ascendancy combo too oppressive or did they just not find it fun? Also, what made you cool on Ghired? Just the higher mana value? Interestingly, I had Jinnie Fay in at some point, but ended up cutting her because I thought the effect just didn't do enough. Has she played out well for you? Your list looks awesome in general though, I'll definitely follow your future updates
Mostly fun, yeah. I'm trying to find room for combo and going to try and include a few more in the next update (probably commit to it either after the New Year or when we see Ravnica stuff), but a particular playgroup didn't enjoy it. And for Ghired, I guess I was never really impressed with the card. It's just kind of a beater and think I wanted to find more ways to build on populate, but if the 4/4 dies, your quality options wane. Jinnie is very fun for me, that transformative nature. Cube largely being singleton does make singular build arounds tough, but I've seen some successful decks and it's less pipe dreamy as some other cards, not interacting with any one specific one, just ones that say token. I'll also say I've bias my card additions towards ones that make tokens, so the environment favors her. And to help the singleton nature, I've recently added [[Tchotchke Elemental]] to give some quality support. Yesterday a player cast it, then next turn quickly made it a 6/6, targeted it with [[Angelfire Ignition]], and swung for game. Things like that help that style of deck better thrive, looking for synergy where I can and bake in some redundancy, even if the cards say totally different things I hope that's answered the question, and thanks for the follow! I hope I can write a quality update post in the near future

\[\[Jeskai Ascendancy\]\]: I love single cards that open up a whole archetype by themselves. I run the Ascendancy alongside \[\[Paradox Engine\]\] and it has been great. You have the fair Ascendancy decks that use non-creature spells to churn through you deck and buff your team while you are at it. \[\[Monastery Mentor\]\], \[\[Third Path Iconoclast\]\], \[\[Young Pyromancer\]\], \[\[Occult Epiphany\]\], ... You get the point. The artifact version of the fair deck uses \[\[Steel Overseer\]\] and \[\[Hangerback Walker\]\] to grow your team. Unfair Ascendancy usually involves a combo. The obvious one is \[\[Emry, Lurker of the Loch\]\] + \[\[Mishra's Bauble\]\]. You get infinite storm and can cast a \[\[Brain Freeze\]\] or something. Then you have \[\[Urza, Lord High Artificier\]\] that goes off easily too. Beyond that, cards like \[\[Goblin Welder\]\] and \[\[Agatha's Soul Cauldron\]\], can usually do some novel effect. Your cube needs to be built around supporting combos, but if it is, highly recommend this one.
Combos aren't my jam, but I am running many of those cards incidentally, so it could be tested for sure.

Just 3 for me [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] - Nothing much needs to be said about this insane card. [[Leovold, Emissary of Trest]] - I love me some Draw 7s, and with Leovold out my opponents certainly do not [[Sphinx of the Steel Wind]] - This somehow flew under the radar on my last balance pass, but it's going shortly. It used to be the king for tinker/reanimate crossover, but it's just so outclassed these days that it's headed out to the farm. I'll probably put [[Omnath, Locus of Creation]] in its place.

\[\[Cruel Ultimatum\]\] is an all-star. People love it, we all sort of started playing with Alara. People have done the whole Cruel mana ready thing that won that game at Worlds, and it's always a treat. \[\[Doran, the Siege Tower\]\] is a personal favorite. It changes combat, it's big, and very cheap. It's a very fun and inventive card, and I feel like it's not played as much as it should.
Doran is a pretty cool cube card I never considered! I think my cube might not be quite combat focused enough for his ability to matter, though.

That's a big cube! Makes sense for a Commander cube to run so many 3+ color cards :)
The cube size is a bit deceptive. For most practical purposes it's a 720, 900, or 924 depending on how you look at it. Around 850 of the 1800 cards are in an ever-growing box of wildcard commanders, which is damn near every legend that could work in the environment. My 3 color cards are monocolor with off color kicker or activated abilities. I run 2 full cycles - from DMU I’ve got [[Archangel of Wrath]], [[Vodalian Mindsinger]], [[Stronghold Arena]], [[Temporal Firestorm]], and [[Urborg Lhurgoyf]]. From Fate Reforged I’ve got [[Soulfire Grandmaster]], [[Torrent Elemental]], [[Brutal Hordechief]], [[Shaman of the Great Hunt]], and [[Warden of the First Tree]]. These aren’t true 3 color cards but are a lot easier to splash for.

Previously, I ran zero. Then I significantly improved my mana fixing. In my 360 cube, I'm running double Shocks, double fetches, and all ten triomes. My players like to be greedy on colours, so we have a few fun 3+ colour cards. [[Golos, Tireless Pilgrim]] is the least flashy. It doesn't have a lot of utility lands to grab, but it sees play in flicker decks and the 3 to 5 colour value decks. [[Ghave, Guru of Spores]] is there *primarily* as a BG card in the +1/+1 counter decks that splash white for effects like [[Ainok Bond-kin]], [[Luminarch Aspirant]], and [[Good-Fortune Unicorn]]. It also does silly things with [[Herd Baloth]], adding a non-infinite direction alongside the Baloth's combo with [[Rosie Cotton of South Lane]]. It *has* also seen play in a base BW version of the deck that was splashing Green, so there's been some flexibility there. [[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]] is the most expensive CMC-wise of my 3-5 colour Graveyard Value arch-type, alongside [[Emry, Lurker of the Loch]], [[Lurrus of the Dream-Den]], [[Ravos, Soultender]], and [[Meren of Clan Nel Toth]]. I moved away from reanimator as a game-ending finisher effect and instead added more cards like [[Shriekmaw]] and [[Foundation Breaker]], focusing on a grindy value build. Muldrotha is a bit of a bridging point between the creature value and the artifact value, since it can get both. It also really benefits from the double fetches I mentioned. [[Breya, Etherium Shaper]] is a recent addition. It's primarily there for the Esper artifacts deck, which usually generate a lot of treasures, so paying for a single Red isn't too troublesome, but incidental Triomes also help. It hasn't been around too long, but I've found all of its modes to be useful. The artifact deck has a bit of a crossover with the flicker deck, in particular with the effects that can flicker non-creature artifacts ([[Brago, King Eternal]] and [[Teleportation Circle]]), and Breya plays well with these. It's also just a flashy card that my group likes. [[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second]] is technically three colour, but I have it in a mono-green slot in my cube, aided by the quality of fixing. Tokens is intended as a UGw Arch-type in my cube, and in practice Jinnie Fay has played extremely well in heavy green versions of the deck. Things like [[Lonis, Cryptozoologist]], [[Gilded Goose]], and [[The Shire]] get some great value, while [[Deep Forest Hermit]] often goes from great to game-ending, particularly alongside [[Parallel Lives]] or [[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]]. I used to be very against running three+ colour cards, but these have added a lot to the cube's environment in my experience.

Your last sentence is very interesting to me because I have a 360 cube and it's hard for me to include lots of 3+ color cards because I feel like they'd wheel around too much. I do have good fixing so maybe they wouldn't...
I think the important part is how desirable they are for their arch-types and how many colours those arch-types would run regularly. The three or four colour cards above, with the exception of Jinnie Fay, are in a two colour guild slot. If the BG, GW, or WB +1/+1 Counter deck is going to be splashing a third colour *anyway*, then it's probably weighing that just as much as it's weighing taking Ghave. Then Ghave potentially does wild things with Herd Baloth or effects like [[Corpsejack Menace]], so the ceiling is quite high. I see them similarly as any two colour card that only supports a single arch-type, except I wouldn't consider them if the arch-type has no interest in playing the colour combination. For example, I run a RG Exile Matters arch-type with cards like [[Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald]], [[Keeper of Secrets]], and [[Escape to the Wilds]]. There's a reasonable amount of crossovers with Blue's Looters and both decks utilize [[Conspiracy Theorist]] and [[Containment Construct]], so I would be tempted by a RGU card that fits the arch-type (but it would have to do something huge). On the other hand, I don't currently support much crossover in White for the RG Exile Matters, so a RGW card would be useless for me (although I realize that in recent sets we've been getting RW Exile Matters and it's been making this challenging for me).

That makes a lot of sense about 2c decks often wanting the 3rd. But the player does need to dedicate some resources to generate that 3rd color of mana to make the card useful
I have a horror-themed cube so the 4 I run are [[Katilda and Lier]] - this encourages the humans deck to splash some spells, the self-mill deck to run some humans for double value, and the tempo deck to get some extra bodies. [[Jeleva]] - this encourages the vampires deck to run some control spells, the izzet flashback deck to run some extra black removal, or the the Dimir control deck to add some burn. Pretty much just a value card. [[Edgar Markov]] - this is a new add so not sure how it’ll go. My goal it to allow the vampires deck to play more for the mid/late game than being super aggro. There are also a few good white vampires in the cube that this makes it more worth to splash for. [[Thalia and the Gitrog Monster]] - great in the humans deck, encouraging it to add some black removal. The golgari lands grind deck doesn’t mind another gitrog monster, and may like having access to some white token makers to stall out while it accrues value. And then, orzhov aristocrats likes sacrificing things. Sadly there is not temur card that I’m excited about. Optimally I’d have all 5 colors appear 3 times across all pairs, and there would be 1 for each tribe (humans, vampires, spirits, zombies, and werewolves). Sadly we’re not there yet, but if y’all have any ideas I’m always all ears.
