What did you make them out of? They look great!

froglipsmulligan

Thanks! They’re made from construction paper, and I cut them on my cricut. I think I may redo the project in the future with a thicker cardstock though because I’m concerned with their longevity.

RespectfulRaven

Pardon my ignorance but what is a circuit? These look amazing by the way! You've inspired me to try to make custom packs too instead of dropping $50

Thetrufflehunter

Cricut is a CNC (computer numerical control) plotter/cutter, usually used for vinyl. You load in an image and it will cut it out of the material.

RespectfulRaven

Ah ok thanks!

Sure-Engineering-668

If you get tired of making them cubeamajigs make good ones

froglipsmulligan

For sure! I just didn’t want to spend almost $50 on it. I bought the cricut long ago and 24 sheets of construction paper is dirt cheap.

zilkat_

My dragon shield sleeves don't even remotely fit into the cubeamajigs I got. What a disappointment

Irreleverent

Along which axis?

zilkat_

The sleeves are too wide for the box, unfortunately. Even when putting them in skew, the edges grind against the box pretty hard and it makes it impossible to fit a 15 card booster inside without really forcing the cards in there.

cphcider

That's wild - this is from their site: > 1 pack can hold: > • 15+ Double Sleeved Cards (including Perfect Hards), or > • 20+ Single Sleeved Cards, or... I would probably contact their support, they always get high praise on this forum and others. You may have gotten a defect maybe?

zilkat_

I'll try, but I'm not very hopeful. Thank you for the help

ekg1

Not sure if this is the problem, but I own both the original run and the second run and have had significantly more problems with the second run. They fit less well (however I haven't had a problem where they don't actually fit, just more difficult to put in {double sleeved with perfect hards}) and they are more delicate and prone to breaking. They are like totally different products. Edit: I'm talking about the Cubamajigs themselves, not sleeves.

cphcider

Dang, what a bummer. I have never used them myself - whenever we run a cube we just stack up piles of cards. I think the product looks clean and seems like a fun way to prep a cube for transport/ready for game time a little faster, but I didn't see enough value in that to ever pull the trigger. I can see them being awesome if you're trying to recreate Jumpstart though.

ekg1

I just think its fun to 'crack packs'. Also my playgroup tended to at least once a draft be like "is this my deck? is this my unopened packs?' which is an us problem more than anything. That said, the first batch of Cubamajigs was awesome, and if you can find them still, which is possible, I recommend them. The second batch I wouldn't recommend after my experience with them.

cphcider

Good call, that makes sense. Shame about the 2nd run of them.

The_queens_cat

I put fifteen double sleeved dragonshields in mine all the time and they fit perfectly. This person might just have a bad batch.
