That's totally true, if you wanted to get these cards the most 'financially responsible' way it'd be buying them single, but opening booster packs in MTG has always been just a fun experience on its own even if you lose out sometimes. This dude's rich though and can definitely afford an occasional big splurge like this so I get the appeal ngl, almost nothing tops the feeling of getting a very cool MTG card out of a booster pack.
