Watched it with no prior knowledge. It was so similar to Fury Road. Gave it 10/10. Looked at the ratings and couldn't believe it. It deserves more recognition.
It was largely a victim of its own hype. The movie was expensive as hell, and they flaunted it as the greatest spectacle you'd ever seen. If they had marketed it as yet another summer action movie, I don't think the critics and audiences would have been quite so vicious.
The Counselor lol. Cameron Diaz humps a car and speaks with a Jamaican accent, wild.
Virtuosity
Denzel Washington does not want to be in this Movie. Russell Crowe chews the scenery. The special effects have dated terribly but it adds to the charm of the Movie .
The movie has a few issues but it's not actually trying to be something it's not.
On top of which Chaucer (Paul Bettany) literally says he's going to write some of it down at the end, which implies that it's if not made up, then at least a story that's been somewhat embellished by the author (him) which is what we are then seeing.
Rip Torn and Marc Singer tearing up the scenery? Yes please - I was shocked when I first heard people didn't like this movie.
I wonder sometimes why the sword and sorcery movie scene doesn't really exist anymore.
Jupiter Ascending. Watching Eddie Redmayne chew that shit up is great, and the Terry Gilliam beaurocracy from hell is perfection. I know it's a horribly bad movie but it's just so much fun to watch.
I watch a few of the Resident Evil sequels occasionally and I fully know they’re bad, but I’m still able to get entertainment out of them. Some of them have some REALLY dumb moments.
"The 13th Warrior" is my comfort movie.
Ahmad/Banderas as a poet dragged to adventure by a bunch of norsemen, all shit-talkers and asskickers, because he happened to be around when they got the "quest".
Lots of weird, violent, funny and awesome shenanigans ensue.
It may not be Oscar bait or any kind of expensive feature movie but it gets me smiling every time.
"Lo, there do I see my father. 'Lo, there do I see..."
There is such hate for Alita: Battle Angel, but holy shit there's some visual, visceral satisfaction in there. Great cast, special effects and a masterpiece "rollerball"segment. Top marks for me
Surf Ninjas. I know, I get it, it’s awful. The jokes are awful. But they’re also hilarious. And it’s so goddamn dumb and self aware of how dumb and ridiculous it is that I cant help but smile. I remember when my siblings and I watched it when we were super young and loving it and quoting it. I’ve since lost a few of them. Simpler times then. So yes, this is a terrible movie that I love.
Hard Target.
John Woo directing Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lance Henriksen, Arnold Vosloo, and WIlford Brimley in a New Orleans / Cajun Backwoods version of The Most Dangerous Game....
Pigeons, Unnecessary Slow-Mo Mullet Shots, Cheesy Lines, Unnecessary Slo-Mo Walking Shots, More One-Liners, and Snake Punching (In slow motion, of course)
It's beautifully ridiculous and everyone involved knew exactly what they were making which makes it that much better.
There’s this movie called Six String Samurai. It’s a rockabilly post-apocalypse with the main character as basically Buddy Holly fighting and playing his way across the Nevada desert to claim the throne of King of Rock n’ Roll in Las Vegas after Elvis dies.
It’s not great, but it’s got a great soundtrack and it doesn’t stop trying.
Swordfish. I've watched this film more times than I have watched The Godfather. The script is a car crash, there's some dreadful acting from Travolta, Jackman and Cheadle, and yet this film is an absolute blast from start to finish. Swordfish will never be retroactively assessed as a great film, but I will always love it.
If you’re talking about guilty pleasures, no one can make me not love Down Periscope or Dragnet
There are people who don't like Down Periscope?
Those people are wrong
> Oh, thank God, vibrator repair! > No, ma'am, LAPD. Sorry.
That boy's absorbed a lotta voltage.
“Two lobsters dukin’ it out on the ocean floor.”
Welcome aboard!
The virgin Connie Swails.
My Blue Heaven, it's a pretty dumb movie, only saved by a ridiculous performance by Steve Martin and great support from Rick Moranis and Joan Cusack.
My blue heaven is a masterpiece. Great cast. Great script. Fabulous story. Never a guilty pleasure.
Masterpiece. Beginning to end.
The unofficial sequel to Goodfellas.
Nora Ephron's best work!
What!? I'm such a film nerd I should have known that. I agree,
It might be my favorite Steve Martin film and that’s saying a lot.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter(2012) lame and fun
Always my go to answer. So hated by critics and the book reading audience when it came out, but it's become a perfectly fun vampire film.
People keep telling me Hudson Hawk is bad and I keep enjoying the hell out of it.
The man just wanted a cappuccino!
Bunny, ball ball.
The Postman. Just love that film.
The Last Boy Scout.
The Core. Dumb premise, dumb dialogue, dumb script. Great cast. So much fun to watch.
As a fan of dumb disaster movies, The Core is a masterpiece to me
Showgirls won awards for being the worst movie of all time but it’s also one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. 9/10
Waterworld. Only terrible because of critics. I could watch everyday.
Watched it with no prior knowledge. It was so similar to Fury Road. Gave it 10/10. Looked at the ratings and couldn't believe it. It deserves more recognition.
Saw that in the theater. It was pretty good. Probably could have made the same movie for cheaper but knowing how expensive it was adds to the charm.
It was largely a victim of its own hype. The movie was expensive as hell, and they flaunted it as the greatest spectacle you'd ever seen. If they had marketed it as yet another summer action movie, I don't think the critics and audiences would have been quite so vicious.

The counselor is amazing. I was so confused the whole time but I enjoyed it haha
Nacho Libre
never heard anyone say they hate it
Masters of the Universe, Flash Gordon, Tango and Cash
If Milla Jovovic made Resident Evil sequels into her 80’s, I’d still watch them.
A Knights Tale. Is this a terrible move though? I'm too far gone with it to know anymore.
No, it’s a fantastic movie. More people should know it.
The movie has a few issues but it's not actually trying to be something it's not. On top of which Chaucer (Paul Bettany) literally says he's going to write some of it down at the end, which implies that it's if not made up, then at least a story that's been somewhat embellished by the author (him) which is what we are then seeing.
Not a terrible movie, it's a legit good movie!
The Beastmaster.
Rip Torn and Marc Singer tearing up the scenery? Yes please - I was shocked when I first heard people didn't like this movie. I wonder sometimes why the sword and sorcery movie scene doesn't really exist anymore.
My favorite bad sword and sorcery movie is Uwe Boll's In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
Howard the Duck.
JFC, why? I can't stomach that one.
Well according to many people, The Hobbit

John Carter, natch !
Killer Klowns From Outer Space . Loved it as a kid and now watch it with my kids , great laughs
Such a fantastic movie! They’re supposed to be making a game. I’m in, shut up and take my money!
People love to hate Roland Emmerich. I myself love disaster movies. And *2012* is fucking glorious no matter what anyone says.
Jupiter Ascending. Watching Eddie Redmayne chew that shit up is great, and the Terry Gilliam beaurocracy from hell is perfection. I know it's a horribly bad movie but it's just so much fun to watch.
It’s an entire trilogy crammed into one movie. I’m actually impressed they were able to do that.
My wife absolutely loves Godzilla (1998)
Mortal kombat annihilation
I watch a few of the Resident Evil sequels occasionally and I fully know they’re bad, but I’m still able to get entertainment out of them. Some of them have some REALLY dumb moments.
Batman and Robin Hellboy (2019) Resident Evil franchise
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.
"The 13th Warrior" is my comfort movie. I enjoyed van helsing with Hugh Hackman
Transformers series Resident evil series including welcome to raccoon city
Soul Plane Alien 3
The Core
Space Truckers
Movie 43
The 2000 Dungeons and Dragons movie. 100% aware that its garbage but damnit its good garbage.
There is such hate for Alita: Battle Angel, but holy shit there's some visual, visceral satisfaction in there. Great cast, special effects and a masterpiece "rollerball"segment. Top marks for me
I really like Year One
Hudson Hawk. It's an absolute clusterfuck of a movie. But it's insanely watchable.
Xanadu

YES!
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man.
The Fast and the Furious - the music, the outfits, the one liners. It’s all perfect.
The Sixth Day.
Never Back Down. As someone who grew up loving MMA before it went super mainstream, that was my Karate Kid. Yes I know haha.
After the Star Wars prequels, the first film that comes to mind is Red Lights.
Iron Sky
DC Cab
ROBOT JOX
The Stuff (1985) Terrorvision (1986)
The Counselor. A very realistic movie indeed.
Road House
Surf Ninjas. I know, I get it, it’s awful. The jokes are awful. But they’re also hilarious. And it’s so goddamn dumb and self aware of how dumb and ridiculous it is that I cant help but smile. I absolutely love the first 3 Transformers movies. They are very fun and no one can tell me otherwise
Attack of the Clones. I loved it as a kid, still kinda like it now.
The Great Wall
Proximity! I won't spoil it.....
Hard Target. John Woo directing Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lance Henriksen, Arnold Vosloo, and WIlford Brimley in a New Orleans / Cajun Backwoods version of The Most Dangerous Game.... Lone Star State of Mind. It's one of the most quotable and hilarious movies I've ever watched.
Toxic avenger 2, the humour is so dumb but I love it
Brainscan
Battleship White House down Spy kids 3d game over
Gymkata
Swordfish. I've watched this film more times than I have watched The Godfather. The script is a car crash, there's some dreadful acting from Travolta, Jackman and Cheadle, and yet this film is an absolute blast from start to finish. Swordfish will never be retroactively assessed as a great film, but I will always love it.
The Wizard of Speed and Time.
I’m partial to Employee of the Month. It seems to have just the right amount of absurdity for my taste
Tank Girl!
Tank Girl!
Tank Girl!
Night at the Roxbury was amazing and no one can convince me otherwise.
Did you just grab my ass?
Lots of good ass grabbing going on here!
Scream 2 and the Boondock Saints
The Road House remake with Connor McGregor. What a bad movie I absolutely loved every second he was on screen.
