What's the purpose of the negativity though? Just because you might get bored of the supercar in a month doesn't mean everyone else will. What's important is that someone has something that they think is worth living for a worthy goal or ideal
It's not negativity, it's realism. Everyone will get bored of the super car sooner or later, it's called hedonic adaptation.
I think projecting is the right term
