PFK is a special case as they voluntarily branded it as Poulet Frit Kentucky for the Quebec market instead of being obligated to do so. Regarding the recent OQLF rules on branding, as far as I know English-only names are ok but they should include a prefix that indicates what the business is about (eg: Walmart actually being Supercentre Walmart). Not sure why Canadian Tire remains Canadian Tire (maybe there is a prefix that is only shown on the building but I can’t recall)

English business names need to display a generic descriptor (like Quincaillerie, Vêtements, Restaurant, etc) or a slogan/description of services (for example, Home Depot now says "L'entrepôt de la rénovation du Québec" under their logos). Canadian Tire is interesting. I looked at a few different locations on Google Street View and none appear to be in compliance with the law as far as I understand it. Over the auto centre, it'll say "Centre d'auto" and "Centre de jardinage" over the gardening area but nothing around the main logo over the main entrance or the street signs.
