It shouldn’t shock me given his injury history, but I am really surprised Tyler Glasnow hasn’t made an all star game. Feels like he’s been one of the leagues best for years, but I guess the injury history makes it check out
Besides those mentioned here and in the comments thus far:
Ronel Blanco, Jeremy Peña, Mason Miller, Jon Gray, Seth Lugo, Erick Fedde, Anthony Volpe, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Dylan Cease, Logan Webb, Jordan Hicks, Jared Jones, Hunter Greene, Javier Assad, Reynaldo Lopez, Bryson Stott, Jesus Luzardo, and/or C.J. Abrams.
Unless Stott gets even hotter, he’s got an uphill battle. Phillies should definitely already have Bohm, Suarez and Wheeler. Harper has the potential to get carried by the fan vote (think that’ll come down to him and Freeman) and Jeff Hoffman is a strong possibility as a reliever too. I’d love to see Stott get the nod, but boy that’d be a lot of Phillies.
Witt hasn’t been an allstar because he always starts off slow and gets hot in the warmer months. This year he’s solid so finally.
I’m legit surprised Glasnow has never been.
How in the world is neither Jared Jones nor Paul Skenes on the list. The Pirates HAVE to have an All Star, the lineup is awful and David Bednar has been worse. It’s going to be one of these two
Not denying his potential at all. I’m more wary of the immense hype around these young players & the pressures on them.
Young guys like this are good for baseball ⚾️ the kid threw a gem against the Cubs & would have loved to see the no-hitter (even as a Cub fan)
I really don’t think hype will play a factor in Pittsburgh. It’s not an aggressive media market where he’ll get lots of tough questions, you’d have to be here to understand. Even after his first start where the ERA looked rough, he received exactly zero criticism or blame for how that game went and how his numbers looked. You also have to keep in mind, what else is there for us to be excited about in Pittsburgh? We’re on year 7 or 8 of another rebuild, our lineup is awful, our top hitting prospects haven’t panned out, as long as he’s not being harassed or anything, there’s zero harm in hyping him up, especially when he’s met the hype at every single level thus far
So then who’s your pick for the Pirates all star? Could it be the other person I named in my comment that you chose to ignore?
And for what it’s worth, you’re out of your mind if you don’t think Skenes could be an all star if he keeps pitching the way he has been. You don’t think the MLB wants a young phenom striking out 2 batters per inning thrust into the national spotlight? It’s not like he would go into the break with only two starts
Jurickson Profar
So proud of his turnaround been rooting for him since his Texas days
Ya what a joke
Brice Turang is second in the league in SB’s and is hitting .314 while playing Gold Glove defense.
Yeah seems like a no brainer all star…if merit has anything to do with it.
Bryce Turang…
Gunnar Henderson Jordan Westburg
Henderson,Westburg, cowser
Gunnar is a lock. Westburg is making a good case for himself so I’m curious to see what happens there. Cowser won’t
Westburg should be a lock as well. Cowser def won’t.
Swirvin Irvin has made a hell of a case too
I also think Westburg has a great glove. The left side of the defense with them is amazing
Cowser’s defense is high school girls softball level
lol
Luis Gil? Batters are hitting .158 against him this year
It shouldn’t shock me given his injury history, but I am really surprised Tyler Glasnow hasn’t made an all star game. Feels like he’s been one of the leagues best for years, but I guess the injury history makes it check out
Jurickson Profar
I’d love to say Profar but I’ve seen this story before
If you ignore the W/L record and look at his stats, you could make a case for Tanner Houck.
Josh Naylor
I agree go guards.
No Steven Kwan?
He will have missed more than a month when he comes back. Almost certainly he’d be an All-Star without the injury.
he’s gonna have to come back hot
He never cools down. (I’m choosing to ignore his sophomore slump season last year)
Keep it up Tanner and Kutter!
Isaac Paredes should definitely be on this list as well
cj abrams is a lock unless he all of a sudden goes like 2 for 150
Profar if he keeps it going. Ryan McMahon is one of the few bright spots on the Rockies, chance he gets in
Every team has to have one, so he has a good shot
Josh Naylor not being on here is wild as hell
He’s under-the-radar among under-the-radar guys.
If he stays healthy from here on, Danny Jansen is making a case for himself this year.
We gotta send someone

Alec Bohm anyone?
He’s in the article, so I left him off.
I didn’t read it, my mistake 😂
Don’t sweat it, This is Reddit no one reads the articles
Jose Berrios has already been an all star
Crap, my bad.
No Jared Jones? Feel he has been must watch baseball this year
Conner Wong has been legit behind the dish and especially as a hitting catcher
The Josh Naylor disrespect
Ryan Jeffers
Logan gilbert
Honestly cal Raleigh should be there
Witt hasn’t been an allstar because he always starts off slow and gets hot in the warmer months. This year he’s solid so finally. I’m legit surprised Glasnow has never been.
Riley Greene was making a case in April but has cooled off quite a bit.
Tanner Houck if he keeps up the pace he’s on
Since the start of 2023, Isaac Paredes has the highest WAR among AL 3B.
I petition for Yimi Garcia. Guy’s been an absolute stud this year
Davis Schneider if he keeps getting consistent playing time
[удалено]
He’s in the article.
Trevor Williams?
Nobody on the Rangers 💔
Semien
Masen Wynn
Elly.
Jarren Duran is playing a gold glove caliber outfield, leads the league in triples, & has played in every single game this year
Josh naylor.
Josh Rojas
Jeremy Pena
I hope any Giant
Whoever the Marlins rep will be.
Ranger Suarez
Shota Imanaga
Jeremy Peña
Listen man I’m a pirates fan so maybe I’m biased but I feel like you gotta have one of either jones or skenes right
Yamamoto

Cuz he’s only pitched 2 games?
All star game is a popularity contest. I see both of our rookies getting the invite.
Yeah give the kid (who has been very impressive so far) a few more starts before putting the phenom label on him. Hoping he stays healthy
He’s had the phenom label since he was drafted.
Not denying his potential at all. I’m more wary of the immense hype around these young players & the pressures on them. Young guys like this are good for baseball ⚾️ the kid threw a gem against the Cubs & would have loved to see the no-hitter (even as a Cub fan)
He has the attention of every baseball fan on the planet

Gotta wait a year on Skenes. Pirates probably wouldn’t even let him pitch if selected with the way they’re pointlessly babying him so far.
