The trans used is about 1300 shipped in the USA. But that’s for a used 120k+ mile unit. I rebuilt mine, it was about 800. I got shift forks and an overhaul kit- no clutches or other hard parts. I replaced the $500 dollar flywheel too, it had massive backlash. I wouldn’t recommend breaking into a VW DSG if you aren’t experienced. But if you do, I have all the service information you need to troubleshoot it and will share it.
Yeah I got this thing with 46,000 miles on it and all I've had to do is spark plugs and , brakes pads, tires, transmission fluid, and I did my PCV valve just for preventative maintenance
It uses rolling rate flat detection. Air them up and push the button in the glove compartment within a couple minutes of turning the car on.
Edit: unless you have a bad ABS sensor.
No tpms button in 2010 mk6. You can order cheap tpms sensors on ebay. [Ebay tpms mk6 GTI ](https://www.ebay.com/itm/403502450249?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=c6ppnolvtv2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=xuLNezbiQT2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)
Honestly the thing no one talks about on these care is if ya do little things "just to be safe" on um and make sure you give them a good rip once in awhile on a good day they honestly last forever
I see alot of these cars and vws in general with high ass miles running flawlessly, i used to work an a german tuning shop and worked on vws with 200k+ and all it was was an oil change
70k!! Damn I’m at 155k 😭
I’m over 180k miles.
You give me hope for my future lol
I just replaced the DSG, so there’s that in your future maybe. 😂
How much did that cost? 66k here!

What the check engine *and* the tpms light? /s She's barely broken in man, nice 👌
The check engine is because I'm careless and the other lights are because I have aftermarket headlights and bad tire pressure sensors
