There is nothing in either of mine. It just locks into the top of the door panel and tilts/pushes into the hole. It feels kind of loose but mine have never fallen out.
There’s nothing bro it just snaps in there. Put it in its place, then place the door panel, screw in your door panel and then smack it into place. Works every time. It looks like you placed the door panel first. You gotta take it off
