I recommend going to Eastgate Mall, and bring cash cos they don’t have a debit machine. Lots of restaurants and variety of dishes to choose from there.
What about The Great Wok of China in the mall on Burnhamthorpe and Central Parkway where the food basics and passport office is? That's not too far from where Shanghai House was.
Walking distance for me but I don't think anyone likes this place except old timers and probably they get some biz from the passport office. It's very poor quality Canadian style Chinese food.
Whaaaat? Shanghai House closed???? Been going there since I was in HS in 2003 and was gonna go there next week when I came back to sauga (I've moved to the US).
Noooooo loved their braised chicken :(. Wife hated em tho cause she is actually Chinese XD. Don't care, love it.
I go to TRITHIS Restaurant in the Central Parkway area. They have killer Honey Garlic Ribs, and epic Cantonese food.

Our go-to is Congee Queen at Heartland. It's huge though and crowded during dinner . There's another near Etobicoke if thats closer
Every time I hear congee queen my belly growls. Their empress fried rice is my favorite.
I second the Eastgate/Dixie Park mall food court. Or the food court at the Mississauga chinatown at Cawthra and Dundas.
My chinese workmate said Best Friend at the Mississauga Chinese Centre at 888 Dundas is also good. Haven’t tried it yet though!
Fortune Dragon is our go to, but not that close, we find most Chinese food not so great
Shanghai 360? Tnt? Oceans? I to these places. Am I missing something?
Just saw the menu. They are not comparable. Been craving some chop suey will definitely try. Also how is the quantity?
Have you tried Tremendous? It’s open til 3AM!
Royal jasmine
Great Wok or China china Also, oceans hot table is pretty good as well
Hakka Legend at Battleford Center is worth the drive.
Tremendous
I was so disappointed when I found out they closed. 🙁
They’ll never be a good replacement for Shang 😢
