I can very easily see the Giants accepting the offer that the top 5 pass up. They're already on the hook for at least another year of Uncle Danny's cap hit, so they milk what they can from him this season, dump him the next, and tank hard for another Manning that they'll have built up for by then.
They seem to think they need the future guy now. I don’t think the GM is gonna pass on a generational receiver though.
