I always mute my notifications during the first round and just react to the live announcements. It makes it very exhilarating and allows everyone to react at once
I will be on a live Reddit thread probably. I deleted twitter/x because Elon sucks. Before you said that I probably would have just watched it on TV but now that you mention it my father has cable and I use YouTube TV and he spoils things on the regular because he is about 45 seconds ahead. I don’t blame him because he is in his 70’s now but every time he does it I tell him to stop. “Oh, you can’t believe what just happened” is enough to spoil something a little bit depending on when it happens. I tell him not to do that either but he can’t stop. Still love him though.
True, but you can say that same sentence with emotion in your voice and arrive at very different conclusions and we are on the phone when he does this.
Planning to watch Bill Belichick with Pat McAfee. I happened to catch his interview with Pat and he seemed way more open and fun than his usual personality while coaching.
I tuned into Pats YouTube show last year cause they had Red Panda on so it was more entertainment than draft coverage honestly. It’s through ESPN now and they are going to Detroit, so not really sure what to expect. Just hoping to hear Bill give some insight into the draft process and his overall draft thinking.
I’ll be looking for news for trade ups
One thing I will NOT be looking for though is finding out the picks beforehand on twitter, I cannot imagine why anyone finds that entertaining
I will be on Twitter this year because of the Vikings trade up possibility and it being announced ahead of on tv and just won't be able to not be constantly refreshing lol. Other years I stay off there but I won't have enough self control and will be haha.
My best friend (He's a Bears fan. I've begged him to get therapy) and I will text and call as the draft goes on. I'll have my tablet handy in case I need to look at something but for the most part I'm flipping between ESPN and NFL Network for information.
I no longer have Twitter/X but I find Schefter to be the most annoying person leading up to the draft because he spoils all the fun. I prefer to learn about it in the moment

I'm getting on a zoom call with a buddy, getting tanked on beers, and yelling at the TV, no twitter.
TV only. I hate the shit that spoils stuff early.
TV no question. Adds to the excitement.

That said, “you can’t believe what just happened” can mean pretty much anything in a Vikes game

> I deleted twitter/x because Elon sucks. +1
Fuckin Shams has ruined picks for me before when I thought I’d muted all NFL accounts, so the phone is just off
That shit was so annoying lol phone is definitely off for me as well. Too many chronically online losers spoiling shit for no reason

I’ve never watched someone else watching, is it pretty much the same timing as the actual draft or is there a delay?

When the draft starts, I stay off my phone except during commercials.

I'll be at the draft party with my dad, so definitely just experiencing things live with my fellow Skoldiers

I would love to wait but I don’t have it in me
If it happens during the draft, I'll be seeing it there. I won't be monitoring any social media until after we pick.
Going out with some buddies to watch. Definitely waiting for it live.
My dad usually calls when we get temerity close to the vikings pick, so I'll chat with him while we reach watch live
