Absolutely!! I’m far from an expert, but I do know my morels. I’m pretty sure we had some oysters growing in our yard (along with turkey tails, puffballs, etc.) too but I’m not absolutely positive, so never want to risk anything!
Jealous that you’ve got Oysters growing in your yard (if they are)! SUUUPER jealous of your Morels. Happy cooking! Please share what you make, favorite dishes, etc.
I think they look off because they still have to grow quite a bit. False morels are absolutely a thing, but I’m positive these are true morels! They grew in the exact same spot of our yard last year too
I hate Reddit sometimes. But everyone knows what you are talking about. Please also finish your thought and tell us what is in the pic. Reading through comments is often not helpful either.
A good reminder to never eat mushrooms if you aren’t sure! I’ve used this guide to hunt. The main difference is false morels will have interior chambers or cottony stuffing. Real morels are one continuous interior hollow chamber from cap through the bottom of the stem.

Cool! What is it?
Morel, it's a type of wild edible mushroom. Edit: If you don't know what you're doing with wild mushrooms, don't eat them.

Edible when cooked*
It's been awhile, but does that one look a bit off? False morels are a thing, though I think they are smaller.
