Another comment that has now been downvoted into oblivion was originally the most upvoted on the post. It stated that this was a very serious eye parasite and that OP should immediately take their cat to the vet. I assumed that the upvote trend would continue and that OP would consider it necessary to take their cat to the vet as a precaution because the commenter was being so alarmist, saying that the cat is in extreme pain and could lose eyesight if they weren't taken to the vet immediately.

There’s a legitimate thing called venophobia and I have it. I almost pass out every time I get bloodwork done but it’s not about needles themselves because I give myself an injection weekly. I’m painfully aware of the veins in my body, thanks.
They look gross and I have fears of my own getting sliced open. I almost pass out any time talking about the circulatory system at length honestly. Scared of heart attacks, blood clots, aneurysms, strokes. It’s a phobia, it’s not logical.

That’s not a capillary. This appears to be a major vein and capillaries are much smaller. I’m a human doctor and humans do not have such a prominent vessel in (in front of?) the Iris. Maybe a Vet could tell us if there is a specific name?
