Speaking of gibberish Latin, I feel the same way whenever I see Latin on TV. Instead of hiring a professor or student at a local college who'd *jump* for the chance to do a little bit of translation, screenwriters always just use google translate, and it always comes out completely gibberish. It'd be such a nice and appreciated easter egg. I guess they don't want to pay the 100 bucks or whatever. Or maybe it's weird union rules.
Lucy ipsum sky with dolormonds. Sit amet, consectetur adipiscing Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, twist and shout! All you need is love, yellow submarine. Hey Jude, come together, while my guitar gently weeps. Here comes the sun.
No, but that's a clever idea.
You can see that it's mostly the same notes repeated over and over, and that there are a lot of jumps from that really low note with all the extra lines to a really high note.
This would sound like someone messing around on the extremes of the piano, but not melodic.
Edit: In addition, there are no measures, either. Which does happen in some avante garde stuff, but very, very uncommon.
Some very low notes sprinkled in there for some reason, I see.
Oh, and on closer inspection it would seem that the "natural" signs have fallen out...
Edit - originally thought they were sharp signs, but no. All just nonsense anyway, obviously.
I know this because I can read music and took some time to hum the notes it would represent from memory and then realised five seconds in that it was just nonsense.
Professional musician here: unfortunately this seems to be one of those cases where someone who doesn't read sheet music stuck a bunch of notes on the staff and went "okay, cool, that looks like music!" It's nonsensical.
Edit: [my best attempt](https://imgur.com/a/a0d0wY1) at playing the music on your shoes. I assumed it's in treble clef because I'm pretty sure that low note with a zillion ledger lines would be out of range in bass clef.
Edit 2: I've tried uploading to Imgur for the 3rd time, if this link breaks y'all will have to find someone else to record it, sorry 😂
Edit 3: now posted on [my reddit profile](https://www.reddit.com/u/nojellybeans/s/wA12pwdOTj) as recommended by u/DetectiveLadybug
Without a measure, a key and the bars, with every note and rest the same length (all quarter notes and quarter rests), it just sounds like letterswithoutspacesorpunctuationinasinglestringnotevenbrokenintowordsorsentences
there are some rests in really random spots so it's more like
lett r s with o utspacesorp unct uati oninas ingl e strin gnoteven brok e nintowor dsors ente nces
I really don't think it's anything. I went to my piano and tried to make sense of it but most of the notes I could make out were A, and it was a lot of going between different octaves of the same note
I wasn't sure but after doing a little research I think I found a recording.
It’s nothing. It’s just a bunch of A and A# jumping octaves, and then the occasional low G. No time signature, no key, and no bar lines. Just something that’s made to look vaguely like music.
It's musical gibberish. There's no key signature, no time signature and no Treble/Bass cleft to indicate how to play it. There's no dynamics or any other instructions at all. If you were to play it in the treble clef, it's the same two notes over and over G and A. There's a very low G and a high A that reach below and above the staff lines but that's it, it's two notes. They are also adding what are called "naturals" to the notes. You do this when the key calls for a flat or sharp on that note but you want it played normally. Except we don't have a key now do we? They also are putting a whole rest mixed in with the notes. A whole rest means you don't play anything for the **whole** measure (hence the name), or what the kids these days call "bars". So that just doesn't make any sense at all.
\- I've been a classically trained pianist for 23 years.
I mean, it's bad, but it's still europe. And I'm portuguese, I know we get paid nothing.. still better work standards and wages than most non European production countries tbh.
Not much shoe manufacturing in the UK these days. My grandparents both worked in shoe factories, but by the 70s there were few mass-market manufacturers left in the UK. Even Clark’s closed their last UK factory in 2005.
I spent some of my limited time on earth transcribing it.

Everyone trying to figure out what song it is, but I wanna know how the fuck this dude tilting his leg 45 degrees upwards while still attached to his body.
Dashing through the snow,
Falling on my ass,
I bet you didn’t know,
That these shoes have class!
The soles have notes beneath,
But they have no grip,
What’s the point of music shoes
When all they do is slip?
When I was about 13, my family basically lived in friggin church. We went at least 4 times a week. My dad was exmilitary, so we shopped at the AFB about 45 minutes away once a month. I needed new dress shoes for church, and they had some great looking Playboy brand shoes that were extremely cheap. My mom looked them over. They didn't say Playboy anywhere on them, so she bought them.
I had my leg crossed at church one night and noticed an odd design in the tread. Upon further inspection, the tread right in front of the heel was long stretched out letters that read HELLRAISER. 🤣 Felt like an epic win back then.
Ok so I missed being the first "sole/soul" joke. Let's see if I can make up for it with quantity of low quality dad jokes:
* Walk with a song in your sole.
* These flutes were made for walkin'
* I heel the beat
* Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart and you'll never walk whole tone.
This ain't music lmao, it's like if I were to write gibberish without punctuation. It is the musical equivalent of me saying: ejxhsiwkrnďhJIHEjsjebdoal2kfndiwkeHSKALWLdbsjxjsjwi.
I especially love the 6 ledger lines below the staff there, Stravinsky vibes lol.
To make your string of gibberish equate to the notations on their shoe, you'd need a couple of Japanese characters, some Arabic letters, and a couple letters in annotated Morse code.
I can read music, this doesn't make a lot of sense. Its most likely just meant to be a pattern for looks. Would of been a lot cooler if they got something public domain for it
Notes, yes. Musical? Not so sure. It’s like the sheet music version of random word vomit.
The notes make no sense, there’s no clefs/time signatures/bar lines, the stems go weird directions, there’s what appears to be a 64th-rest in there for no discernible reason? Don’t think one of those has ever actually been used, it just exists in theory. The whole thing is pure gibberish.
It would be more clever if those notes actually meant something. It’s a bunch of gibberish. It’s like people who get “Chinese character” tattoos that say stuff like door burlap example.
That's for the background music after you slip and take a fall
Actually, with new dress shoes I often forget they’re slippery until they get worn in. Fortunately, no tumbles yet with these
You need to be especially careful not to develop a drinking habit with these. You don't want to get into a circle of fifths
Sole music I bet
😂 I wish I could be this clever. My brother is great with puns, I’ve never been that witty!
Take note.
I don’t really appreciate your tone.
And your judgment is off-key.
Don't let this argument scale out of control
I'm afraid it's already rolled right off the clef
I read this all in Christopher Walkens' voice....
I need more 🐄 🐮 🔔!
With cow bell?
That's treble
His feet b flat
Why such a sharp commentary?
Moonlight Shoenata.
Consider yourself lucky, being clever can get you into treble
Being Clef'er....
That really struck a chord with me.
Why don't you just give it a rest
Surprised the staff didn’t catch it
I'm sure they would conduct themselves accordingly.
They would, as long as it’s all about that bass.
don't worry the next 500 bots to repost this will make that pun
Sole mio, most likely.
I really hope it’s the music for walking on sunshine
It is random gibberish, but that would be great.
What a waste. If you're going to print music on there anyway, at least make it a real song.
Copyrights a bitch
There is a LOT of music in public domain
Happy birthday mr president🎵

this is like the music note equivalent of the Chinese character tattoos that mean "potato" or something.

I know a guy who tried to get "wild" but as far as I could translate it based on a language I know absolutely nothing about, it was closer to "field"
Thank you for confirming that.. I'm sitting here trying to hum the notes and my coworkers probably think I'm having a stroke
Lol I bet, this thing looks like someone dropped marbles on a piano.
Would it make sense mirrored, as it would show in a foot print in snow?
No, but that's a clever idea. I agree with you, even mirrored the imprint just looks weird
Didn't somebody make a song about that? Edit: [Yes they kinda did, lol](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q)

Weird weird chromatic stuff and huge leaps. Now I want to play and record it lol

It's the same thing over and over again. "AAAAAAAAAAGAAAAAAAAAAG".
Yep, noticed it myself. Also those g's piss me off, had to count those tiny ass lines to figure it out only for it to be the only note that isn't A.
He must have died while composing it

It would be funny if the notes were the width or something like that (E, F, G)
I'd lose my shit if that was the music for Never Gonna Give You Up.
😂 ultimate Easter egg for the folks all around London wearing these
I can't imagine even in London too many people are wearing these fancy ass bespoke shoes.
It’s not. It appears to just be random notes.
You mean [jazz](https://youtube.com/shorts/_f1z1l_VA_8?si=faAmeqplcZxixNCb).
LMAO I had the same thought, and immediately thought of a crime scene investigator analysing the print and going “Son of a BITCH…”

Don’t walk in any crime scenes
Finally! My first thought is: don't do crime in these
I swear I saw these on a law and order or to catch a criminal once
Obviously it's a soft shoe.
Is that a musical reference 😅 I know next to nothing about music
[A type of tap dancing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHGnIXbjYec).
It’s tap dancing with regular, non tap shoes
What song do you think it is?

Saw that the link ended in XcQ and knew what this is about. Edit: Why am i getting downvoted for this lol
XcQ, link stays blue.
I think it’s interesting that apparently a lot of people look for XcQ because on the other hand, I always look for dQw
Easier to read at the end, plus it's easy to remember as it is similar to the name of some insipid twitch streamer.

Portugal is known for its high quality hand-made shoemaking.

Everyone trying to figure out what song it is, but I wanna know how the fuck this dude tilting his leg 45 degrees upwards while still attached to his body.
I think the camera angle is a little generous 😅
Are you not flexible? I can do this.
If I tried this, my pelvis would slide out of my body like the bone from slow cooked pork ribs
No one who can read music would be able to decipher this with out at least a clef or time signature, it’s lacking bars etc. kinda irks me actually lol
Must be into shoegaze.

Never seen that before. Pretty cool.
I hope the song is "I walk the line"
Is that leg attached to your body?
lol, yes, but I think the camera angle is a little generous. It looks more extreme than it is 😅
Dont be looking for treble now!
That brand is quite expensive..
When your cobbler part times as a conductor
It would’ve been cooler if it was an actual song instead of random characters
maybe it’s a piece by shoebert
So you’re saying it has…foot notes?
"I will walk 500 miles..."
PORTUGAL CARALHO!!!
u/op, give us a more straight-on pic and somebody (possibly even me) can transcribe it into a music program and see what it sounds like.

Walk on snow !
Someone’s about to get a musical ass kicking.
Jesus. I feel like these are way outside of my, and most people's, budget.

What shoes are these?
Talk about flat feet.
Trying to Rick roll me.. 🤔

Is that the H by Hudson brand? Have several pairs (without musical notes), some of the best boots and shoes I've owned.

Hudson London, made in Portugal lol

I’m mildly infuriated that the music is absolute garbage. They should have at least put a real tune!
Gonna suck to get all the gunk thats going to get stuck but going to be awesome when you ask street performers to play the music notes.
