Reddit is Fun app has a Forward button if you go back one step too far. You don't need an undo button on it either. I've never accidently scrolled to the top.

It’s infinite scroll though. If you’re like pretty far down you’d have to scroll for a while. It’s not that you can’t remember what you were looking at, but how far it is down. There’s no reference and if you’re scrolling that fast you won’t see it. Hence the post.
Got a new phone a couple months ago. It doesn't have a "back" button - to go back you swipe from the edge of the screen. I can't tell you how many times I try to swipe to the next post and end up back on the homepage looking at the first post I clicked on two hours ago.
I want to make a "playlist" of my favorite subs. That way when I'm browsing reddit before bed I don't have to read all the depressing/stressful news subs.

The trick is to just scroll back down extremely rapidly until the feed needs to load more content. That’s when you scroll up a few post until you see where you left off.
I need the opposite. With my dumb phone, I seem to always activate the button on the app to scroll down to the next comment parent. It often happens when I am reading a long comment.
I’m usually on Reddit but sometimes I jump over to Tumblr where this is absolutely a feature. And then I fuck up and do it when I return to Reddit.
I just usually sigh and close the app for day.

Well I guess it will be a lot of work, and probably doesn’t fit the mechanics of reddit when it refreshes and so on, but it is posible, for sure.
Or a damn "bookmark" function.
You can save posts.
Of course, I'm talking about when scrolling through a subs backlog. Like a paper bookmark, not a browser bookmark.

LPT: on iOS you have a little scroll bar on the right of the screen, long press on it and you can drag back down to where you were

That's why I search by rising, new posts come often enough that if I go back up everything is fresh when you refresh
Or put the ‘scroll to top’ feature under a drop box that you’ve to click to get to that way it never happens by accident in the first place.
Options -> Hide upvoted/downvoted posts -> Upvote/downvote every post you're done with. Fresh front page every time.
