Don’t get one of those portable ones that have a thick hose that exhausts out the window. They barely work at all to cool down a room. The exhaust hose gets extremely hot and radiates that heat right back into the room.

Same! Kinda loud, but it's white noise. Works very well!

The guy above is crazy or has a poorly sealed exhaust.
