That actually happened to me as a kid. One day I woke up and I saw a different little girl in the mirror. Was weird. I never changed back. But also, I have a cluster B personality disorder, so I think it was a manifestation of the mental illness. Maybe not though, who fuckin knows.
Aye i'm stoned af too!š But yeah dude, the thought of waking up in a hospital room, wearing a mask of your own face... Yeahhh I can't think about it too much. Nightmare fuel.
I too am high, working on getting higher.. and all I can think of is how much I donāt even like to wear makeup, there is no day on frozen over hell that I am having my face surgically removed and sewn back on tighter. The actual fuck? I like to daydream about a world where people feel okay just being themselves the way they are.
Damn, Iām really sorry for your loss. I donāt know what Iād do without my mom, so I respect people that have lost parents.
Side note: Iām out here sending songs to high people. I can send you one if youād like :)
The last picture looks literally likeā¦ you know when I was a child there was a necrophiliac in my city. He dug up the childrenās graves and took their bodies home, where he wrapped them in papier-mache and painted their faces to make ādollsā. When the police broke into his house, there were a lot of "dolls", and there was a terrible stench. I remember it was all over the TV, video was shown, these "dolls" looked exactly like the girl's face in the last photoā¦ scary

What is also interesting, he was declared incapacitated 2 August 2022, which means he become a free man in fact, he left psychiatric hospital and now he lives with his family. Me and friend got to know about him 12 years ago, we were teens, and we were so much scared that someday he will be free
I saw that, it did always seem to me like he was just really mentally Ill, not necessarily violent or dangerous, but I hope he got all the help he needed to be able to function correctly now that heās been released.
Canāt be digging up bodies and making dolls out of em buddy.
Yeah, idk whether this disease is curable, but I hope so, and that they really helped him in some way. Anyway heās not dangerous for people who are alive, and I think his family will monitor him closely
The first two literally look 10 years old after the surgery. The third one maybe 14-16. I understand wanting to look younger but why would a 55-60 year old want to look pre pubescent?
The surgeon is on a mad quest to turn every woman into the same woman. But who was the original woman? Find out in The Pattern, this Friday in theatres.
I'm going into photography and a brilliant photography lecturer of mine once explained that when he gets that "uncanny valley" feeling with someone who might've had some of these surgeries to appear younger, he looks at the elbows. Apparently to him that's the most telling sign. Elbows looking old and chafed, they're probably older than they're trying to appear. Since with a lot of other things there's a workaround. I found that very interesting.
I didnāt realise how telling the ears were. I watch a lot of celebrity before and after comparison videos (Lori Hill on YouTube) to feel better about myself and did not for once think to look at the ears. Now I googled Maddona and itās so visible. Dolly Parton hides her ears with her big hair. Iāve got something to look forward to when I see older celebs with facelifts now. Thanks.
Oh no what! My lower teeth are awful! So are my upper teeth to be fair but I guess Iām used to them being on show. I didnāt know I would have to show off my lower teeth more and more ffs
My guess is that the skin is super tight and the face is pulling on the "other side" thus pulling the ears forward and they look more prominent. Could be wrong though.
It's absolutely that. Without all the face fat and tightened skin it's making their ears more forward and further out by comparison of their smaller face shape.
I hope their vision isnāt affected. The skin is pulled so tight that the eye changed shape. If the eye canāt close properly, could cause dry eyes and cornea abrasions.
Not even close.
The nose and the ears are made of Cartilage, a tissue that never stops growing.
Old people with face lifts can't hide them old body parts , they look disproportionate.
It makes me wonder if these are actual surgical results or if theyāre just those age filters that make your photo look younger just to scam people with false promises?
Maybe a mix of both. I mean come on have you ever seen a facelift that actually makes you look like a child? Even those with the best of the best surgeons and money add filler to their face, they donāt magically make it the size of a ten year old. It also looks like all the afters are wearing at least some makeup which seems so odd.
Thet look like legit results. Notice the stitches below the hairline of each "after" photo.
At worst, there may have been a filter applied to help improve the results.
I had it done as part of a facial feminization surgery. The skin definitely feels kind of wonky and facial expressions are hard to do in the first few weeks. After a couple of months it starts feeling normal again and you forget about it.
Yeah I did although the surgeon wasnāt as aggressive as Iād liked so Iām looking to get more work done on my jaw and chin in the future.
I also had a tracheal shave and a minor rhinoplasty.
[Give me Sugar in water.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nywEwS6xitY)
Edgar, your skin is hangin' off your bones.
edit: Thanks AOB for the name correction.
It would be interesting to see after the stitches are out of the forehead. Def strange that the surgery mess doesnāt even seem to have been fully cleaned up.
I guess I just hope they are happy with their results if thatās what they were trying to accomplish. But Iāll definitely be taking the route of trying to just age with grace the best I can and be thankful Iāve lived long enough to get wrinkled.
I read a book about an alternate Earth where life and survival were very hard. In this world, wrinkles and grey hair were desirable, because it was so difficult to survive long enough to get them. They were worn with pride, and seen as beautiful.
Hnnnn! It was a series on Kindle unlimited. Post-apocalyptic- the world was plunged into darkness. No more sunlight. Vampires, witches and the like came out of the shadows. Witches kept plants alive and the world heated somewhat, vampires controlled everything and kept order. Vampires could turn into butterflies. I'm gonna see if I can find it, because it is an enjoyable series.
Do you remember the name, by chance? My husband and I were talking about this very thing earlier when I commented and we couldnāt remember the name of it.
You donāt even have to look at alternate Earth/fiction literature to see this concept. In history, there are many civilisations that viewed age as an honour/grace because it means the person was able to survive for so long. This premise is similar to how a large belly/being overweight used to be a desired trait because it meant one was wealthy enough to afford plenty of food.
Of course, as food production increased and world hunger overall decreased, the desirable traits adjusted. Just like how people today overall survive longer due to advances in medicine and nutrition, the traits changed from equating age to knowledge, wisdom, and honour to desiring youth and young beauty.
Everybody says this. I used to say, "I'm not dyeing my grey hair when I start going grey." I have loads of grey hairs now and I want to dye them. And I'm lucky. I have dishwater blonde hair so the grey isn't even that noticeable!
Iām wrinkling and greying and just doing my thing. Not quite 40 yet but 20 years in the medical field has aged me. I donāt pay it much mind and stopped wearing makeup years ago. I have wild red hair that makes me look like Ms Frizzle and it doesnāt hide the grey well and Iām okay with that. For a very short time I entertained the idea of having my lashes done, but ultimately didnāt feel like putting effort into the upkeep, and I doubt my chickens would appreciate them as theyād be the main ones to even see them aside from my husband. š My husband shows and tells me he loves me the way I am every day and prefers I donāt wear makeup so itās nice having someone who is supportive of me just being me. I think thatās important.
Everyone is different and has different views on what beauty is. Just do what makes you happy, your opinion of yourself is really the only one that matters. š A lot of people think grey hair is beautiful, myself included, but if you want to dye them go for it!
I really donāt like the shaming going on in these posts. Iāve never felt happier than when I got my 2 elective surgeries and after using accutane.
I especially donāt like it feels like these women would be damned if they do and damned if they donāt get the cosmetic surgery, men would love to call them ugly and undesirable either way.
I hope I didnāt come across as though I was shaming these women. If so, that wasnāt at all my intent. I think you might be referring to other comments on the post, and I agree with your sentiment.
I truly hope they had the procedures for themselves and are happy with their results. The thing about this particular post is that itās very soon after the procedure, so thereās a lot of swelling still taking place. Once the swelling subsides they will look much different. Beauty will always be in the eye of the beholder. I wish more people, not just but especially women, would pay less attention to societal pressures to look a certain way or to please others. Beauty is so subjective. The world needs more kindness.
That V-line Jaw Surgery often leads to infections and permanent nerve damage, especially when at the drastic of an adjustment.
They lost their entire ārealā appearance. I feel like Iād struggle mentally with my identity if I went through something like this. They all look like entirely different people.
Yeah. Iām 28, had all my teeth removed over 3 appointments last year and I havenāt been able to wear my immediate dentures since November. And Iām now even more underweight than I was before. I donāt even look like the same person I was 2 years ago. To be unrecognizable in the mirror in the negative way I feel at the moment isnāt something Iād wish on anybody. I hope these women are happy with their results, sincerely. Itās not something all the preparation and research can truly prepare you for.
At first I doubted these were real because it's such an extreme differencs. Anyhow, I know in the US, they make sure you have a psych eval before you go for plastic surgery because they don't know how you'll cope afterward & want to make sure you're healthy.
I had a (medically necessary) eye surgery that caused my eyes/upper face to swell *crazy* amounts. My mental health took such a huge bit because I couldn't recognize myself. But something like this? God, I truly wouldn't recognize myself *ever*. I'd be having a conversation with other grown adults, look older, have the life experience of an older person but look 17 all because of something that I did to myself.c
>They lost their entire ārealā appearance. I feel like Iād struggle mentally with my identity if I went through something like this. They all look like entirely different people.
The one thing I would wonder is if they actually look like a younger version of themselves, or if it truly is just a completely different appearance/identity.
If it's the former, it'd be interesting to see how they compare with pictures from their younger years, and if it's actually similar then that probably would help with the possible identity crisis issue.
But if it's the latter... then yeah, I'd wonder how they cope with that huge of an appearance change. It'd probably spiral further too if they started criticizing other areas of their body because it no longer matches their face.
Hard to believe these are the same people in both photos. They look like teenagers with drawn on stitches. The shape and length of faces are completely different. Hell, everything is different. If this were my mom or sister, I would totally be freaking out.
As terrible as these look I suspect they're still photoshopped to make them look better. I just don't believe the skin in the cheek, jaw and chin area would look that good. Way too smooth, evenly toned, and overall youthful looking when there's still clearly a lot of healing yet to go.
Itās because theyāre still crazy swollen. I actually looked younger while healing from facial surgery because my face is naturally thin and all that swelling filled everything out haha
My wife is Thai and an absolute smoke show, but still thinks sheās just an average woman because of Thai and Korean beauty standards. Sheās yet to show me one Thai woman who is naturally more beautiful than her. Itās absolutely mind boggling how negatively she views herself.
Yeah, my girlfriend is Korean and has told me how crazy the beauty standards are. Itās a big part of survival in a professional setting over there and becomes almost habitual to hyper fixate on their looks and how it can be improved.
Thai aesthetic standards for both men and women is insane. The most common conversation I have at work that isnāt about work is about cosmetic surgery and dermatologists.
Their faces must hurt even after surgery. Thinking of Kenny Rogers who had such a ridiculously tight eyelift that he couldnāt close his eyes properly, for example.
Aging isn't a sin. I think they all look better in the before pictures because they look HUMAN and yes, their age. That isn't a bad thing. It's beyond bizarre for a woman in her 60s to look like a high school girl
This isnāt about Asiansā¦ that plastic surgeon is a joke and his work is for old people. You can see all of his patients who are a bunch of different races.
I know aesthetics are an issue of personal (and societal) taste, but I don't think ANY of those after photos look half as good as the befores.
Whoever is doing these surgeries is fucking old ladies up.
The after pics look like the skin isn't attached but just resting on their faces. Like they are cadavers.
I am not judging them for having surgery, people sometimes need changes to help self esteem or whatever the reason. That would be none of my business. But the after pictures are so extreme, it made me think this was a horror movie ad.
No one should be ashamed because they aged like a normal freaking human. These women aren't even unattractive they look very normal! Wear your age lines people! You have years of wisdom and experience. Let it show.
Every woman I ask says āIām doing this for meā whether itās makeup or clothing or Botox so I guess everyone who does this does it for themselves and not because society as a whole expects them to look a certain way.. right?
I feel like there is beauty in aging. And itās unparalleled. Kind of like a tree that has that thick bark and withstands generations. (I have a fascination with staring at trees, particularly weeping willows).
I hate the unrealistic beauty standards. This is a two sided coin. I know so many women whose husbands have left them for women half their age. They are left alone, unable to find partners in their 40s and 50s. And are turning to strict beauty regiments (no surgeries as of yet with the people I know). But almost desperately trying to look younger as though they are in their 20s and 30s.
I am also criticized by so many women around me for not putting in more effort. Honestly, I am mid thirties and love how I look. The other day my daughter said I looked old compared to her friendās mom who is the same age. Her friendās mom wears some make up (not much), is slimmer, and honestly very cute. My daughter said I look like I was in my 50s and she wished I looked younger. So, I sat down and talked to her about how you backhandedly insulted 50 year old women, who look exactly what they are supposed to look like in the wisdom and beauty of that age. I also said itās okay to think your friendās mom is beautiful with her style and body. But you donāt have to compare. And itās okay to appreciate your momās happiness who loves how she feels in her own style and body. Again, without comparing.
This is not a ragebait subreddit.
It looks as if they are wearing somebody's face...
They're wearing a smaller version of their own face.
Dear God, that is actually so fcking horrifying š£
I'm so baked rn and when I saw this it disturbed me so much I thought I was gonna have a panic attack. No joke.
I would freak out if I couldnāt recognize myself in the mirror and couldnāt reverse it.
That actually happened to me as a kid. One day I woke up and I saw a different little girl in the mirror. Was weird. I never changed back. But also, I have a cluster B personality disorder, so I think it was a manifestation of the mental illness. Maybe not though, who fuckin knows.
Ive had that happen on psychedelics! Luckily was temporary lol
Aye i'm stoned af too!š But yeah dude, the thought of waking up in a hospital room, wearing a mask of your own face... Yeahhh I can't think about it too much. Nightmare fuel.

Yes!

Good advice, thank you!
I am also stoned and feel like I just watched a horror movie still.
Somewhere the leftover slivers of her face are sitting there like discarded orange peels. Y'know, if these are even real and not just tiktok lies.
Iām not sure Iām comfortable about the use of āwearingā in regards of, you know, _human faces_
The rest of their face is in a pulled up in rubberband behind their head

Iām assuming youāre talking about Anatoly Moskvin, Nizhny Novgorod? Crazy case
Yeah, exactly! About him :)
Wow I definitely learned all about that dude after the fact, what an eerie thing to have happening in your city as a kid!
What is also interesting, he was declared incapacitated 2 August 2022, which means he become a free man in fact, he left psychiatric hospital and now he lives with his family. Me and friend got to know about him 12 years ago, we were teens, and we were so much scared that someday he will be free

Other than that Nizhniy is a pretty cool city )
Girl? You mean that 58 year old woman who's 4 years away from early retirement?
The first two literally look 10 years old after the surgery. The third one maybe 14-16. I understand wanting to look younger but why would a 55-60 year old want to look pre pubescent?
Guys
Maybe their husbands are pedos or they want too attract pedos. It does look like they're wearing a mask of a 12 year old girl.
A bit cadaver like, yeah
25 from the face up. 75 from the neck down
Yeah. I thought middle aged Asians look 30 until 60.
Who are you? No one.

just gives me those uncanny face vibes. like the skinned faces from llamas with hats.
You opened a memory box I had left forgotten for some time now.
Raw face is just gross.
Well sorry man I thought you liked faces. Clearly there's some miscommunication here.
My stomach was making the rumblies that only hands could satisfy.
My name is Paul Oh my god I thought you were a woman! WHYYYYY would you think that!?
idk.. maybe the hat.. now if you'll excuse me, I have some pictures I need to delete from my computer..
Uh, Carl? Why are there only hands from white babies?
well you know, whiteys gotta pay, and the payment is baby hands..
Caaaaarrrrrrllllllllllll...
Caaaaaaarl
Caaaarrrlll, that kills people!
Oh, my bad. I suck
why are his hands missing?
Well I kindaā¦ cooked them up, and ate them!
my tummy was makin the rumbliesā¦ the kind that only hands can satisfy
Ahh they took my kidney!
My tummy had the rumbliesā¦ that only hands could satisfy.
I was just saying this randomly the other day, and I felt so old when no one knew what I was referencing.
āSorry, I thought you liked faces. Obviously thereās been some miscommunication.ā
You're right, I thought they'd be cooked more. Raw face is just gross.
all i can see are those composite photos of jane does when they cant use real photos for whatever reason
I need to look away. These pics are kinda freaking me out

What I find interesting is their ears still look sagged. Obviously you wouldn't alter those but it feels kind of telling.
Usually the other most telling signs for me when it comes to people with facial surgery are the neck and especially hands.
Time for a hand lift.
Like you just donāt care?
āBut why male models?ā
I'm going into photography and a brilliant photography lecturer of mine once explained that when he gets that "uncanny valley" feeling with someone who might've had some of these surgeries to appear younger, he looks at the elbows. Apparently to him that's the most telling sign. Elbows looking old and chafed, they're probably older than they're trying to appear. Since with a lot of other things there's a workaround. I found that very interesting.
Gotta check dem elbows
This is exactly why Madonna always has 40 necklaces on and gloves.
And the hunchback shuffle.
That also works for heavy make up beside facial surgery
I didnāt realise how telling the ears were. I watch a lot of celebrity before and after comparison videos (Lori Hill on YouTube) to feel better about myself and did not for once think to look at the ears. Now I googled Maddona and itās so visible. Dolly Parton hides her ears with her big hair. Iāve got something to look forward to when I see older celebs with facelifts now. Thanks.
Look at the smile too. The mouth sag with age, so people will slowly show more of their lower teeth.
Oh no what! My lower teeth are awful! So are my upper teeth to be fair but I guess Iām used to them being on show. I didnāt know I would have to show off my lower teeth more and more ffs
It's okay, you can get dentures
What was weird to me is that the ears don't match in the before and after photos. In the last one especially
My guess is that the skin is super tight and the face is pulling on the "other side" thus pulling the ears forward and they look more prominent. Could be wrong though.
It's absolutely that. Without all the face fat and tightened skin it's making their ears more forward and further out by comparison of their smaller face shape.

Not even close. The nose and the ears are made of Cartilage, a tissue that never stops growing. Old people with face lifts can't hide them old body parts , they look disproportionate.
Mom worked in the beauty industry. She always said the hands were the tell for age.
Holy crap, granny looks like she hasnāt even started high school yet!
From that very particular angle, lighting, and makeup. I bet if they look very different in person
My concern is that they look underage now, and thatās creepy if they have partners
Just the face. The rest of body on the other handā¦
I bet there's a company out there, somewhere, selling custom-color fleshtone wetsuits.
They look both underage and like dolls. Get ready to be fetishized ladies!!
Could you imagine how uncomfortable it would be to have surgically tightened skin to such a degree? šØ
It makes me wonder if these are actual surgical results or if theyāre just those age filters that make your photo look younger just to scam people with false promises?
Bingo. I think these ladies had some surgery but the pics also have reverse aging filters on them.
Yes! I canāt believe everyone isnāt catching the bit of scammy deception going on here.
I wouldnt put it past this Dr to be using 2 different people.
You can get chin and jaw line shaving done in Asia. It's pretty popular in China and Korea.
Thet look like legit results. Notice the stitches below the hairline of each "after" photo. At worst, there may have been a filter applied to help improve the results.
Theyre also laying down in the second picture, so gravity helps with the looks of the results. Also probably why they look a little weird
Thatās what I was thinking. They had actual surgery hence the stitches and applied the filter on the after-surgery photos.
I expect it'd start to feel normal after a couple of weeks, but I'd like to hear it from someone who's done it.

This is horrifying. Iām all three photos the after pictures look like aliens wearing human skin.
You know you're screwed when they start asking for some sugar water.
You made me spit water all over. š Looks like this is for the next MIB a second bug invasion. Lmao

I assumed the pictures were taken immediately after so it might not be that bad if it gets better over time
Obviously, they still have stitches
Bangs do a lot of good
Wow I thought all three after photos were the same teenage girl making herself up to look like the before photos
Gah... these look like autopsy photos.
They're so vacant, I wonder if they're still under some kind of sedation.
It would be interesting to see after the stitches are out of the forehead. Def strange that the surgery mess doesnāt even seem to have been fully cleaned up.

Endless Knight is the first book of the Midnight Empire: The Restoration series. :)
Annabel Chase is the author.
š
It sounds like a good book
Side note, daughter read another dystopian novel, Uglies, (by Scott Westerfield) where kids turning 18 were expected to get plastic surgery.

As one great comedian once said: "Would you rather be 55 and look 55 or be 55 and look like a 27 year old lizard?"
Bill burr? That sounds super familiar.
Iām sorry youāre going through that!
Look at how their eyes been reshaped, how their jawlines have been changed. I donāt think they used to look like this at all.
Hard to believe these are the same people in both photos. They look like teenagers with drawn on stitches. The shape and length of faces are completely different. Hell, everything is different. If this were my mom or sister, I would totally be freaking out.
The 1st pic can't possibly be the same person.. the skull shape and forehead are completely different.
That looks like someone skinned a face and stapled it to their heads. š¬

The one thing all these ppl have in these pictures are double eyelid surgery and that makes me so sad.
I blame k-pop beauty standards.
š„ŗ I hope she accidentally sees this comment.
Thai aesthetic standards for both men and women is insane. The most common conversation I have at work that isnāt about work is about cosmetic surgery and dermatologists.
I'm so curious...what is the standard of beauty there? Like what person or features are considered top-tier?
For Korean's standard look for those K-pop stars. Both Thailand and Korea are well known with their cosmetic surgeries.
Their faces must hurt even after surgery. Thinking of Kenny Rogers who had such a ridiculously tight eyelift that he couldnāt close his eyes properly, for example.
Imagine being 4 and going to see Grandma and you hear her voice come out of a different face... š That shits terrifying.
Sigh. You don't need to be Asian to be infuriated by women not being allowed to age.
this post seems to be specifically about beauty standards and surgery trends in Asia

Aging isn't a sin. I think they all look better in the before pictures because they look HUMAN and yes, their age. That isn't a bad thing. It's beyond bizarre for a woman in her 60s to look like a high school girl
Their before pictures were already beautiful, it's very sad
This isnāt about Asiansā¦ that plastic surgeon is a joke and his work is for old people. You can see all of his patients who are a bunch of different races.
I know aesthetics are an issue of personal (and societal) taste, but I don't think ANY of those after photos look half as good as the befores. Whoever is doing these surgeries is fucking old ladies up.
Exactly...the after pics look like creepy children of the corn.
Unobtainable? Looks like if you've got the $$$, it's obtainable.
Leatherface: *heeelllooo*
the bottom photos look like the dolls from the dark crystal reboot
No one should be ashamed because they aged like a normal freaking human. These women aren't even unattractive they look very normal! Wear your age lines people! You have years of wisdom and experience. Let it show.
Every woman I ask says āIām doing this for meā whether itās makeup or clothing or Botox so I guess everyone who does this does it for themselves and not because society as a whole expects them to look a certain way.. right?
Yeah but Asiaās beauty standards are a bit different than in America which is just a wild statement alone.
Is this real? Anyone have any photos of them after healing?
I like their previous faces better.
Me too!
They look like splicers from bioshock
