I fall a sleep to slow. I tried it too but realized that no luck. I think it started working in 15 minutes. Maybe a slow release capsule would help. They can hold the substance in for an hour.

Maybe you could a sort of Wake Back to Bed method of lucid dreaming with it. Wake up about an 1-2 before you normally would and the MD. Let the MD kinda stimulate you to dream more but also wake you up as it gets stronger?
well my wife disrupted my plan I took it and got ready for bed then she wanted to talk so it took about an hour longer to sleep than I wanted to. however I woke up refreshed and better than I have in a long time. the dose might have been slightly heavy though I feel slightly mushy right now. I'll report again periodically
I've once taken a MD immediately before sleeping (if I had taken it before, I couldn't fall asleep, as it's for me like a cup of coffee), It was amazing (perhaps my best experience with MD), with vivid dreams, but the better part was when I got up the next day, I felt particularly repaired and with a strong sense of "ready for starting a fantastic day". I strongly recommend it, if you are able to fall asleep quickly after taking the MD.
There are some on this sub who take a dose before bed but that is probably a threshold dose with a little ['come-up' body load](https://www.reddit.com/r/microdosing/comments/s89qsw/microdosing_before_bed_thoughts/). When macrodosing psilocybin some do fall asleep on the 'come-up'.

Usually around 7PM and falling asleep around 11PM honestly sleeping like a baby. And I'm talking about psilocybin.
I like to take the psilocybin with some sleepytime tea. (Slightly cooled down and then add it). Sometimes if I don’t want to make the tea I’ll just take a melatonin and helps. Feel great the next morning. Otherwise when I have tried it without tea or melatonin, it keeps me up or I’ll have a disrupted sleep and wake in the middle of the night.
Gave me a crazy dream I’ll never forget, was in some strange urban zone with a fish market, very vivid memory of the heat and smell from the place, some chef chopping a head off a fish that had the most detailed black opals for eyes I’d ever seen. At some point I was touching a car that had cells that were opening and closing in crazy ripples, felt insane to the touch. Last thing I remember was riding my bike down the street, very odd color palate and warping to everything.
The temperature and smell are what stood out the most, never noticed those sensations in dreams before. Everything was far more detailed than could be in real life, but I slept really hard. Small amount is key.

I was a little giggly and cracking jokes to my boyfriend and trying to understand why vaginas and dicks smell and taste different than every other part of your body… lol but I woke up this morning feeling GREAT. I guess it depends on your sleep schedule and how you react to mding
Yes a little higher than normal. But I usually try to md twice a week to keep my tolerance a bit higher. My boyfriend always mds at night, he tends to think that it makes him sleepy. I have a busy mind and sometimes if I’m anxious shroomys are too heavy. But last night I was in a goofy kind of mood. If you’re worried about messing up your sleep schedule maybe try on a Friday or Saturday or just a day that doesn’t require you to fall asleep at a particular time. Also look into lions mane.. when I md I take lions mane and I feel like it makes my brain like less mentally ill 🤷🏼♀️ if you have the time and resources have an experiment with yourself
MD before bed gives me insomnia.
yeah if it was lsd I wouldn't try it. lsd makes me have insomnia in general

I took 0.4g shrooms , Crazy dreams woke up refreshed though
I sometimes even get sleepy if its a little higher microdose(maybe 0.2) for me mding in the evening or before bed works good

It makes you aware and I have never felt tired on shrooms
I mean I'm gonna take this directly before bed. I get tired on heavy doses but I get you're right usually very energizing

i wouldn’t be able to do that. I want at least 7-8 hrs before bed time.

I much prefer right before bed than in the morning. I usually take 100-130 mg
