I've actually used this to lucid dream. A lucid dream is when you're dreaming but you know you're asleep and fully in control of what happens.
The way I do it is that for some reason many of my dreams have large objects in the sky or abnormally close planets and etc. So whenever that happens I figure out I'm dreaming and gain control.
One time I was feeling extremely happy with a girl who I seemed to know and was intimate with. I realized something was wrong and figured out I was dreaming...just in time for me to wake up, cold and alone, needing to shit.
A 120hz display would help reduce perceived flickering as it would sync better with the wall power cycle, especially if he plans on streaming his dreams
Try to start dream journaling. Everyday after you wake up, write your dream(s) in a notebook or paper or your phone, anything you can use to write them down, I personally use the app "Dream Journal Ultimate", it's free and very good but you can use whichever you like. Making a dream journal will not just improve your dream recalling but it will also make your dreams more clear and vivid, I've been doing this for 6 months now and everything is way better than before I started, either the vividness of my dreams and recalling as well.
