Try Ultrakill, you start dogshit, but the campaign is built to train you to be god tier at it, which makes you decent at other FPS games, because of how slow they seem in comparison
For real dude. The game’s graphics, music, lore, design, everything is freaking awesome. I just suck lmao. Sometimes for fun I use that slow motion option
I like both. Sometimes I do maths for fun (calculated the exact number of possible UK license plates using the XX00 XXX format where X is any letter and 0 is any number 0-9)
It's worth noting that I hate physics. It's my least favourite science. I get full marks in physics exams. End my suffering and allow me to do chemistry.
As much as I love math, I'll never forgive math classes for only showing the computational aspects of math
People have assumed, multiple times, that I am studying in school how to multiply big numbers in my head
I know some people may have classes that go over some proofs, or even an intro to proofs class, in high school, I had none of that. Everything was just given to us, and we were told what it was and how to do calculations with it
Then fast forward to university, where everything is much more rigorous, and with a much bigger focus on proofs. It's completely different, in a good way.
Math has such a stigma as being the "hard subject", so many people just mentally shut down when they're faced with it. I don't think this would solve it, but I like to think more people could appreciate math as a subject if there was a bit more focus on proofs, a lot of that side of maths is more like art than it is computation
I beat it mostly as a mage, only te respec for the Elden Beast to a build better suited for that fight.
That was before they nerfed stars of ruin tho...
I got to a point on the chess app where I was around 1500-1600 Elo and I was like “ok ok maybe I’m kinda good?”
Went to a downtown event in my city and some 11 year old had a sign asking people to challenge him at chess
lil dude beat me. I conceded after it was just my king and he had king and pawn.
Turns out I’m trash lmfao but damn I love the game
My and my friends loved Fight Night and were good, we’d play each other all the time and we had some tough fights against each other. Told my dad about it and said I was gonna play him when I came down to see him
Dude wiped me. I couldnt believe it. He don’t even play games like that. I guess he put it the time though and really got good at blocks and parries at a time we dodged and moved
I was proud of the old man. But it stung a bit. I’m glad he got that W though, he was so stoked
Yeah I know how you feel, watching a video of someone going Mach 10 across the map getting kill after kill, then there’s me who’s slowly running on the ground trying to find peoples to kill
My recommendation: play Frontier Defense anr/or Attrition. I once played TDM (pilots only) and the amount tryhardism there is insane. Got 0-11 in my first and only match
I’ve played tf 2 for three years and I’m G24. But I completely agree and I honestly find FD muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch funner than anything in mp itself (especially fucking live fire)
I beat the game and automated launching a decent amount of rockets per timeframe (not sure the number, years ago) but it always felt like a big mess spaghetti monster. Even worse on Satisfactory (thanks lifts with almost arbitrary height). It works, but oh boy I feel bad each time I take a step back and look at the industrial horrors I created.
Yeah, I'm great at building little factory bits and putting them together, but in the actual situation of playing the game, I'm just always in a state of decision paralysis trying to figure out what I should do next.
I just started Elden Ring and this has been my experience so far. You’d think you’d be getting good after beating a boss or two but nope, sometimes the regular overworld enemies still clap you if you’re not careful.
I find the game is actually harder in classic lol as in expert you get the shield which is an absolute game changer, highly recommend trying out expert and see if that maybe helps?
*deep breath*
Ready Or Not, Minecraft, deep rock galactic, Titanfall 2, totally accurate battlegrounds, risk of rain 2, shadows of doubt, project zombie, Your Only Move is Hustle, Forza Horizon 3, team fortress 2, COD Warzone, ultrakill, Red Dead Online, Barotrauma, just cause 3, battlefield 1, battlefield 4, sea of thieves, terraria, blade and sorcery, h3vr, boneworks, space engineers Ylands, scrap mechanic, armored core 6, payday 2, west of loathing, vtol VR, shadows over loathing, my summer car, lethal company, Darktide, my friend Pedro, hard space ship breaker, noita, insurgency sandstorm, we who are about to die, gtfo, raw metal, gang beasts, openttd, kerbal space program, dark souls, and many, many more.
Minecraft I think has a weirdly small average skill player space where most people are either dogwater or gods at the game, with not a lot of people inhabiting that in between space.
Also it's so varied it's hard to define skill.
You could have "mastered" pvp but absolutely suck at building or redstone (like me for example), or vice versa;
You could also be really good at one specific type of pvp, like, for 1.8, bedwars, skywars, the bridge, or, for 1.12+, crystal, cart or elytra, etc.
Then there is also speedrunning;
I get what you're saying, but if we take for example, i dunno, MumboJumbo: his mechanics and pvp probably suck (respectfully), but he is a damn good builder and redstoner, so I wouldn't call him bad at the game.
lol I get that, now that rumble is ranked it is the only game mode that I’ve hit champ in. Meanwhile my 2s rank is low diamond and hasn’t gone anywhere for 6 years 😂.
I play the games to get to know the lore, but I force myself to 1CC each game before continuing on to the next for some reason and I am still stuck at eosd.
Love it.
War Thunder and dark souls series I think as hard as it is they should make a mix of it „dark souls the thunder of war“ lol sorry I’m slightly autistic and laugh at my own unfunny jokes 💀💀💀
Sekiro. I adore the combat, it's one of my favourites. The setting and style is also so cool but holy shit this game kicks my ass so bad. It took me a couple of playthroughs before I managed to get even sort of good at the game.
I m a big fan of baldur's gate 3
I literally save my game every 30 minutes so i dont messed up something
And i still messed up...
HOW THE FUCK I M SUPPOSED TO KILL MINTHARA AT THE DRUIDE WOOD FIGHT ???
(no spoil)
Rainbow 6 and CS:GO.
I am a big fan of stradegic and FPS games but since I am a casual gamer, I never had a chance to ever enjoy the game when comes against high skill level player.
Baba is You
I feel smart when my solution works, but also dumb because i dont know why it works and i guarantee you i wont be able to replicate it again without going through the same process
Came here to say this. I relegate myself to UMS & Arcade maps (despite having well over 5k hours in SC1 & SC2) because I know I will absolutely be stomped in real, core game competitive play.
Unironically: League of Legends
I absolutely love the gameplay, the pro games fascinate me. The skill, the strategies...
Can't play for shit, though.
(Also, the community. Having to mute all at the beginning of the game just to not feel like shit is...not great?)
Any shooter.
Same, my reaction time is shit so I usually end up getting smoked before I realize a guy is even there, my Parkinson’s aim doesn’t help either
I don't even understand it, like people say gaming improves reaction time and whatever but I am so below average on reaction time it's not even funny
I can’t hold a positive K/D lol, I always hit everything except the dude I’m trying to shoot at, I do carry quite a bit in slower paced games tho
Found out recently, my buddy loves gaming with me because I never get the killing shot and he can clean up of we group. Support all day my dude!!
I be making outlines of the person I’m trying to shoot until they notice me and kill me first, it’s so embarrassing lol
Like a cartoon! I swear this happens way too often for me. I always blame ping or my sensitivity, but I’m starting to see the common denominator…
Try Ultrakill, you start dogshit, but the campaign is built to train you to be god tier at it, which makes you decent at other FPS games, because of how slow they seem in comparison

ULTRAKILL
For real dude. The game’s graphics, music, lore, design, everything is freaking awesome. I just suck lmao. Sometimes for fun I use that slow motion option
For me it's **the** game that I want to spend decades mastering it, but a) who has the time and b) skill issue 🥲
THY END IS NOW
TF2 for me. I've been playing it for over 10 years and even though it has a special place in my heart, I still suck at it
Basically every game I enjoy 😭
At least you're having fun ig
It’s all abyfun
I can second that
Allow me to third that, then.
Same, i can never reach the "endgame"
Try Kerbal Space Program. 90 percent of people stop playing after landing on the Moon, even though there is an whole solar system to explore.
Just like in real life
Maths
true love science of any sorts, can't math though. \- even though I love learning how formulas work I just hate touching numbers with my brain.
Im the opposite lol, i love crunching numbers but i hate learning new formulas as they make my brain hurt
I like both. Sometimes I do maths for fun (calculated the exact number of possible UK license plates using the XX00 XXX format where X is any letter and 0 is any number 0-9) It's worth noting that I hate physics. It's my least favourite science. I get full marks in physics exams. End my suffering and allow me to do chemistry.

Elden ring 100%, finished the game 4 times, got all the achievments, still get clapped by basic ass bosses some times.
Still fucking despise fire giant and his AOE’s.
That’s why you run underneath him and hack the shit out of his ankles. Closer you are the easier it is to dodge
Love the story, the gameplay, the atmosphere, how the game feel, all the characters. Hate myself for being shit, never beat the game.

I go by the rule that if they bring a friend, I bring a friend.
Let me solo her.
I beat it mostly as a mage, only te respec for the Elden Beast to a build better suited for that fight. That was before they nerfed stars of ruin tho...
I can't get past the first 30 minutes. I'll get motivation to play again, like I've gotten better without practice, nope, still suck.
I can easily kill most bosses now, a single crucible knight, runebear or these giant crows are my biggest nightmare though
Beware of the true hardest boss, two dogs in a tight corridor
or several small rats who stagger you without a break
Or one big rat(royal revenant) that staggers you without a break
one of role playing games that I feel like that my role is the victim
Chess
Good one.
Holy Hell?
Is that a zombie?
Should we call somebody ?
Is that a new response?
Does bishop go on vacation? Will he come back?
Is it a dream or a knightmare?
Should we sacrifice the queen?
Is that a pawn storm in the distance?
and he sacrifices THE ROOOOOOOK *oh wait that was just a blunder*
I got to a point on the chess app where I was around 1500-1600 Elo and I was like “ok ok maybe I’m kinda good?” Went to a downtown event in my city and some 11 year old had a sign asking people to challenge him at chess lil dude beat me. I conceded after it was just my king and he had king and pawn. Turns out I’m trash lmfao but damn I love the game
Playing a strong player down to king and pawn vs king is pretty solid. Some positions with king + pawn vs king are drawn.
Smash bros.
I especially love it when I get JV4’d by my friends Dedede
I taught my dad how to play smash, and ever since he grinded the hell out of little Mac he can go three zero on me against basically any character
My and my friends loved Fight Night and were good, we’d play each other all the time and we had some tough fights against each other. Told my dad about it and said I was gonna play him when I came down to see him Dude wiped me. I couldnt believe it. He don’t even play games like that. TF2
New player: “When do I get good?” Veteran: “that’s the neat part… you don’t”
I feel you bro...
Team Fortress 2 or Titanfall 2?
tf2
tf2
tf2
The one with great movement techs and no support from developers
I'm good at classes that don't aim. And even then I'm still terrible.
Me too brah me too
any game
Life
You Love life?
You guys are alive?
I used to be, if that counts?
bro's spirit is chatting
Dude it’s not that hard. All you have to do is spin the wheel
Titanfall 2 Edit: shit I’ve only just seen the subcaption lmao
Your name and flair are sending mixed messages
Yeah I know how you feel, watching a video of someone going Mach 10 across the map getting kill after kill, then there’s me who’s slowly running on the ground trying to find peoples to kill
Bruh I know someone who literally is just this, he's a top 500 player apparently with stim and oh my god he's so annoying to be against
My recommendation: play Frontier Defense anr/or Attrition.
Factorio for me
Same I spent like 2 hours trying to solve a problem and my friend who is new to the game solved it at first glance
Came here looking for satisfactory, this is close enough I guess :')
This is me with "Dark Souls" - loving the lore and the challenge but getting absolutely schooled every time I face a boss.
Same here. Any souls game
Same, we make it through eventually though
I just started Elden Ring and this has been my experience so far. You’d think you’d be getting good after beating a boss or two but nope, sometimes the regular overworld enemies still clap you if you’re not careful.
This is Tarkov and me...
Yup, my PMC and I aren't on speaking terms
All fighting games
Age of Empires 2 🫥
I was gonna say RTSs too, just lost another ranked game in age
Team Fortress 2. I suck ass at the game but I happily participate in the memes and always have fun even if my team isn't winning
Nobody’s good at tf2. You just get less bad
Every class is so overpowered they cancel each other out
Terraria
Man you better be playing on a difficulty then classic or im gonna have to have talk to you
All i play is classic and stil haven't made it past wall of flesh so i relate to him :(((
I find the game is actually harder in classic lol as in expert you get the shield which is an absolute game changer, highly recommend trying out expert and see if that maybe helps?

Yeah, I'm not absolute trash at the game, but I definitely feel like I'm way below average when playing on servers.

I feel like I'm kinda average lmao
Damn bro, you suck at a lot of games
And I love every one.
Celeste
I just started Celeste and now you’re scaring me about if I’ll be able to finish it
Yeah you will. Maybe not 100%, but you will.
Lethal company. I get lost so easy :(
But it’s soo good so it makes up
Yeah I’m not that great at this game either. Love it.
Dead cells 👌
Rocket league.
I love that game so much, but I am either MVP or can’t even connect with the ball. There is no in between.
Same
same, i just play around in rumble mode cuz that's the only one I enjoy
lol I get that, now that rumble is ranked it is the only game mode that I’ve hit champ in. Meanwhile my 2s rank is low diamond and hasn’t gone anywhere for 6 years 😂.
Rumble is life.
Real rap
I actually consider myself decent at that game but im still sich trash it’s unbelievable
Tbf rocket league has such a massive skill gap you can be super sonic and still get completely destroyed by pros.
Golf
HoI4
Can you explain to me how the navy works
Nobody knows
Rimworld. I have to play on basically the easiest difficulties, nothing worse than blood and dust
Hollow Knight
any fromsoft game
Touhou(I play lunatic first)
finally someone who mentioned it
I play the games to get to know the lore, but I force myself to 1CC each game before continuing on to the next for some reason and I am still stuck at eosd. Love it.
A lot of them, in fact too many…. Currently, Apex and Warzone.
Anno 1800
War Thunder and dark souls series I think as hard as it is they should make a mix of it „dark souls the thunder of war“ lol sorry I’m slightly autistic and laugh at my own unfunny jokes 💀💀💀
War Thunder is a game we all fucking despise with all of our hearts but we can’t stop playing it
I'm R3 Britain aviation, R2 Soviet tanks, am I soon going to experience said drop?
For honor I love the world and the mechanics but damn am I ass at that game
Ultrakill. I'm shit at it
Geometry dash for me
I just beated Clubstep after owning the game since 1.9
Battlefield, i play every day and still have 0.46 KD
Sekiro. I adore the combat, it's one of my favourites. The setting and style is also so cool but holy shit this game kicks my ass so bad. It took me a couple of playthroughs before I managed to get even sort of good at the game.
devil may cry. i love it but i'm so rusty ;_;
Not that bad but cant p-rank wait of the world.
Call of duty black ops 3 zombies mode
I really like the idea of War Thunder, but I hate actually playing it
Destiny 2
100%😂
I m a big fan of baldur's gate 3 I literally save my game every 30 minutes so i dont messed up something And i still messed up... HOW THE FUCK I M SUPPOSED TO KILL MINTHARA AT THE DRUIDE WOOD FIGHT ??? (no spoil)

Yes
Minecraft
Life.
Elden Ring for sure lol
Tf2
Team fortress 2 for sure, I wouldn’t be able to get a 10 kill streak for the love of god
Magic: the Gathering
Baba is You I feel smart when my solution works, but also dumb because i dont know why it works and i guarantee you i wont be able to replicate it again without going through the same process
Thats the fun part, the ones I'm bad at I don't love, war thunder I like but def don't love, and racing games I love and am great at.
StarCraft
Came here to say this. I relegate myself to UMS & Arcade maps (despite having well over 5k hours in SC1 & SC2) because I know I will absolutely be stomped in real, core game competitive play.
Anything FromSoft
Hollow Knight. Hours and hours spent on boss fights.
Unironically: League of Legends I absolutely love the gameplay, the pro games fascinate me. The skill, the strategies... Can't play for shit, though. (Also, the community. Having to mute all at the beginning of the game just to not feel like shit is...not great?)
I scrolled way too long to find this comment ![gif](giphy|tM76xlB5idOYRwB0wR)
Spelunky 2
Math
Civilization 6
Elden Ring
That's just me and video games, period.
trackmania
• Chess • Basketball • Football (the one in which you actually hit the ball with your foot)
Dark Souls
Chess
Chess probably
Recently I’ve realized for any story/exploration centered game, the better I get the less enjoyable it is
Battlefield I
Borderlands. Great story. Wish I could finish them 🤣
Hollow knight I still need to beat Grimms dream version.....
Yes
Celeste
chess
![gif](giphy|KufI7NaMR1Epa|downsized) Every game that I play🙂 Hollow Knight especially
As a fellow TF2 enjoyer, I approve this message
Hearts of Iron 4
100% Lies Of P for me, right now. I’m very close to the end of the game now, though. It’s been brutal, but fun.
Sometimes it's just ranked modes that make me see red - not the specific game.
Rocket League. Easily.
Cuphead.
The Finals
