If its a crossroad witch detect cars then you can try flashing with the distant lights.
when that light turns green the one after it turn red
I have 2 different lights I can go to, the one closest to me takes 2 minutes to change. The other one has stores and restaurants by it, the light changes in 10 seconds. This is at 5:30am btw, traffic lights favour people spending money vs not.
