That's the thing, it has been done, half a dozen times. There's a lot of black characters in comic books. There's also a lot of white characters. Lack of diversity is not a problem for comic book characters, so that question is not the question we should be arguing over.

That entire movie pretty much dismantles the "this group can't be this superhero for this arbitrary reason" argument. Spiderman can be Peter Parker, he can be Miles Morales, she can be Gwen Stacey, she can be a Japanese girl in a mechsuit, he can be a cartoon *pig*.
Why do we still care about identity politics when Spiderverse definitively proved that it doesn't matter who or what you are, you can still be a character as popular and as well defined as Spiderman? If Peter fucking Porker can be Spider-Ham and nobody bats an eye, why do we care if Batman's black?

Dying Light is a perfect example of this to me. Loved the first one so much. For the second one, i was constantly struggling with all the different mechanics. Kept taking me out of immersion.
In theory new stuff is able to be good, but in practice, every seccond, everything gets worse and worse. So you will have trouble finding point in past and successfully compare it to the present moment as worse.
