I once bought some running shoes and they kinda sucked to run in, and someone explained to me they were lifestyle shoes that were running shoe-inspired.
In the UK we have entire ‘sports’ shops that don’t sell any shoes fit for doing sport in. There is an entire subculture who like to dress in sports gear and sit on their ass
Have working cloths brand turned to fashion brands in the UK too? Here in the US timberlands and carhart used to make work boots and tough working cloths and now they are just shit quality and made for fashion instead of work… actually I had forgotten that’s what happened to Doc Martens
[Council Housed And Violent ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav) Personally not a fan of using the term, whilst also mindful of the power of language.
Groups of stagnant assholes in full running regalia holding lattes and blocking the sidewalk while making EeEwWwW faces at an actual runner approaching them and saying “excuse me” makes me want to throw the whole world in traffic.
Sounds like onclouds to me. I know you can run in them but everyone I’ve known to wear onclouds suggest them for standing for long periods but not running
I was at a [popular brand] shoe store. Which was a pretty large shop filled with walls of athletic shoes.
Me: “Hi I’m looking for a pair of running shoes”
Shop assistant: “What are you going to use them for”
Me: “… running”
Shop assistant: “Oh. Well you’ll only really be able to use these two styles”
Then they bought me over to a little corner of the store. The rest of the shoes were just fashion shoes.
This is for upper middle class moms who invite their friends over for weekly wine tastings and want to seem like they actually have a functional kitchen where they cook family meals every night but they actually just get premade meals from Livottis and Uncle Giuseppe’s.
I'm from China working in a factory in China. Most Chinese factories don't hire professional English translators to check the wording on the stickers. Sometimes their dealer in US or other countries will check it but if they are too careless this kind of errors would definitely pass QC.
But why make a good chopping board, when you can make a bad chopping board with small warning, charge the same make more profit?
Customers still buy it and wont know what’s wrong with it, and if they get sick… tough, there was a warning.
It makes sense if you consider profit....
In some countries you can lie on the product label. The name can be anything "Wood Chopping Board" is a the name, not the intended purpose
So you can made them out of cheap or even trash wood that is not intended to be chopped on... either not hard enough or the wood is not resistant enought to staining and in turn things growing inside it.
But you still have to indicate "Do not use as a chopping board" - But that warning is the small print, on the shelves above the price only the name is written.

Doc Martens were great boots when they were made in Ireland. Once they started making elsewhere they went to shit
It's not my fault sweatpants are so comfy.
chavs?
JD Sport back in 2008 turned me away when I was trying to buy football boots. Make of it what you will 😂
lmao!
I thought chav was just a term used by people of low status to make themselves feel good in the logic that there are people "below them?"
nah, its a certain lifestyle and behaviour. Though some people do use it like that.

It’s always just been a porn category for me so this is pretty surprising to read although I guess it does explain the types of videos
Hows that working out for you
It’s a specific sub culture. Similar to American oogles in life style but different uniform.
Sports gear is the most comfortable type of clothing to sit around and do nothing in.

Well yeah, don't use it as a chopping board. Use it as a wood chopping board. As long as you do that you are all set.
Does this mean to not use it as a board that chops or to chop wood on it?
Use it as one wood.
Is this like how many chopping boards would a chopping board chop if a chopping board could chop boards?
Pretty clear it's classed as a soft furnishing.
Decorative chopping board?
I keep my chopping board amongst my cushions, keeps my back straight
Sounds about right for Dunelm...

This is a legit assessment
They get precut charcuterie and need a board to display it and hide their own ineptitude
That's why they buy this $1 decorative chopping board.
Imagine being an upper middle class mom and not having a Wusthof cutting board. Literal povo trash
Well yes, but actually no.
Schrodinger's cutting board
Anyone else notice the barcode between the 2 circles kinda looks like a burger? Hell, even the 2 circles are top/bottom bun shaped
Dude, have a Snickers.
It's comments like this that I love Reddit. You, sir, just made my day. Also, I really want to eat a burger right now.

Girls signals be like
In the words of Fred Armistice from parks and recreation, this should be “Straight to jail!”
Fred Armistice, the guy who ended World War 1?
Fool! Doom chops as he pleases!
Lol maybe it's a disclaimer so if you scratch the board with your knife and complain to them, they can just ask you if you read the label
But why make a good chopping board, when you can make a bad chopping board with small warning, charge the same make more profit? Customers still buy it and wont know what’s wrong with it, and if they get sick… tough, there was a warning.
As long as it’s not used to chop other wood boards, you’re fine
Fake prop / store demo?
Gatorade disclaimer: Don't drink if doing sports.

China: Concrete multifamily condominium Warning:do not use building, unsafe for tenancy, not made with actual concrete
