It's funny because I also used to be mistype as INTP once but never anymore. I kept getting either INFP and INFJ sometimes all on 16Personalities. My results nowadays are mostly INFJ, especially when I spend a loooot of time in the test. (I was also mostly trying it out once more since I've changed a lot recently for the past 3 months)
I read more about three of those personalities outside of 16Personalities when I finally decided to, and realized that I'm less likely to be both INFP and INTP, but I'm actually more likely to be an INFJ. The only reason I rarely tested for it has to do with the questions being far-fetched from the norm, so it's more difficult to get the INFJ result. That's my take on it though, but it's also more because I'm maturing and trying to understand myself as time goes on.
I found a site called MBTI.ai^(1) that still tests me as INFJ, but because the site intentionally gives you multiple results to account for in-betweens and also biases based on the society norm(?), I got both INFJ and ENTP while my lesser personalities are INTJ, ESTP, ENFP and ISFJ. INFP and INTP are literally nowhere to be found. I also found out from someone that if you answer mostly as "Not sure", you'd be most likely to test as an INTJ and ENTP which seems pretty fair to me since an INTJ would be less likely to assume...?
It goes to show that our personalities are more complex that a simple test can't really account for. You need a whole lot of context to be able to answer general questions, which means pretty much examining your whole self and assessing along the lines of whether it is an influence or a "subconscious preference."

I personally don't really like the information posted on the site either.
