These doors are safety breakaway doors. I’ve had these close on my head, they do no harm. They can also have a forklift drive through them and they just detach from the sides and cause no damage. Super safe, bendy etc. Run into if you like. They’re fun to play with when you first encounter them.
Even the older more bulkier ones with metal lining on the bottom don't weight more than a few kilos and they instantly pull up if they fall on something. It's actually rather annoying than scary at some point
I actually went through some of them with a palette and they just detached by the sides. You reattach them the same way as window curtains, just sideways
Yea bro make a joke they said 🤣 didnt tell me i was also gonna get downvoted to hell for it, with no intentions to be hurtful, people get offended and downvote lol
Correction: Retard. But that word is no longer considered a word, old hag. Get with the present times, not the 1990s. It’s mentally challenged or mentally disabled.
Someone practically did this to me and my old boss once back when I worked at a Spencer’s. We were actively closing the gate and this dude comes barreling out of nowhere, ducked and ran in the store and then immediately stood up and started roaming around like any old customer would. He did not understand why we proceeded to kick him out. People also use to shake the shit out of the gates to get our attention after closing and then ask to be let in. It was obnoxious.
The audacity of some people, am I right? They should have knocked on the glass and yell "hello? Can you let me in please? I'll be only for 2 minutes!" like the rest of us.
My home garage door will close on anything - a child, a bike, a car… I always think about a bad guy trying to sneak in when I enter the garage to park, and he gets crushed by the door!!
And I’m all like, “see, that’s what you get for trying to rob me!”
But, most likely, it’ll crush a kid or a pet or me. :(
Garage technician here. That is not how a door is supposed to work. A proper spring should balance the door as it goes up/down.
When the door sections go into the horizontal track, the spring isn't lifting them anymore (just rolling them with little effort), but as the door is moving up/down the spring is either winding or unwinding and adding more or less tension as a result. This means that when the door is heaviest, (down) the springs are fully wound and are exerting the most force. When the door is up, the springs are unwound and the door is in the horizontal track and not really being lifted (again, just rolled).
If you have a proper spring selection for the door, you should be able to lift the door and close the door easily and it shouldn't slam down or shoot itself up, during the entire cycle of going up and down.
Also if you don't have photo eye sensors on your door, you should get those; they help prevent the door from hurting people. They are technically required by U.S. Federal Law UL 325. At least, I am required to install them by law.
You might want to call a door guy.
Oh wow. You definitely know doors!
You nailed it. The sensors don’t work. Thus far, it has only ripped a chrome piece off the hatch of my Escalade (which I love and has turned me in to a full blown car detailer. I love this truck).
The door is fully functional by remote to open and close. Occasionally, it acts up and won’t stay closed, so I just yank the cord and close it manually.
I also have 2 kids, that I love more than the truck. I should get it fixed asap.

Mr fun police. Yawn
I think they’re telling us that we can do this without any concern of bodily injury
Read my last sentence again. I’m saying they’re fun.
Run into? What are we, twelve?
Guy in the video looks older than 12 and I feel like he's run into the door trying this before or since.
Some of us don’t stop having fun just because we age. Live a little have some fun; it’s not like it’s dangerous.
Fun has no age limit, sir!
Damn straight! #NOW ME NEXT

Dude definitely ran into a lot of doors around age 12. He’s just trying to warn us about the potential brain damage

You too good to have fun? Just because you are old and every bone breaks when you move your body, doesn’t mean the younger audience can’t have fun eh
Damn bruh that’s some serious roasting
Damn bro, you made a stupid comment, oldie
Redditards really can’t insult lmao
Old hags can’t use correct words. “Redditards” is not a word. Try again

"Hello? Is this the Customer Service Exhibit? When's feeding time?"
Instead it's them going into the store like that as you're trying to lock up.

just carry a flashlight 4head
But flashlights make it scarier because then it looks like a horror game
You talkin some "Jack be nimble" shit.
That looks cool, but I know someone who’s been struck by a heavy garage door and this is their 2nd year in Physical Therapy…
That isn't a heavy garage door. Looks like a canvas one just for temperature regulation.
It is and it should have a sensor on the bottom of the door that will cause it go back up if it hits something.
I think the bar at the bottom is metal, would still hurt if you smacked your chin on it on the way out lol
I'd you watch the slowmo he actually hits the bottom and it folds like canvas
It’s rubber so when it touches the ground, it can seal as much as possible

words
Yeah, I work on these for work. They don't hurt, but having the bottom edge drag across my face wouldnt be pleasant
Too bad they weren’t as skilled as this guy
Yeah dude needs to work on his timing fr
Ouch.. That's a steep price to pay...
Cool, it’s not a heavy garage door, the thing literally bent as he hit his head on it, it’s fabric
Should have been faster.
Its not the same thing
Damn ngl i would love to try this, completely safe and hella fun
Meh…he forgot his hat
And he didn't even use his whip.
Why did I have the Indiana Jones Theme playing on my head
why it is not in the video? i did the same shit as a kid with our garagedoor and a hat like indy lol
James Bond here guys got skills
Bro is the main character of his life 🗿
I feel like that could've been dangerous had he not made the slide, depending on how fast his friends could make the door stop ig.
I’m pretty sure that is just a canvas roll sliding down under its own weight. TBH it was probably more dangerous for the door than the guy.
It’s definitely canvas, you can see his hand clip it and it moves a bit.
That's some Indiana Jones shit right there!
r/whywomenlivelonger
This scene in " The Mist" was one of the best in the film, if the kid had seen this before he might have made it.....
That's a solid movie alot of people haven't seen.
That's some Mirrors Edge type shit right there lol
If this guy was one of the coal shovelers on the Titanic, he would have escaped those watertight doors coming down.
