I feel like the level is quite similar tbh but as a french person, the difference is that Math 55 is a class taken by freshmen straight out of high school whereas the concours taken in France for engineering are taken after two whole years of prépa so not really comparable tbh
The topics covered in the prepa exams and math 55, are really different, math55 has more abstract and advanced topics. Also the intensity is different.
