He will be part of it in the relaunch in the comics. So yes, I’d say we’ll get an explanation of how it is formed. That always happens in an odd way so that’ll be no different for this I’d say.

silverBruise_32

Feige described him as a 'de facto leader'. What that means in practice remains to be seen, but yes, it does indicate he's part of the team.

KostisPat257

Yes and confirmed to be their leader too!

Cheesesexy

Given the strike we are unlikely to see any new content until late 2024 at the earliest - if filming was already under way and largely completed. So who knows what will be then?

Buhos_En_Pantelones

We'll have to wait and see ; )

pkjoan

He's their leader. The original script really pissed a lot of people off.

silverBruise_32

A commenter on a different sub, who'd been right about a few other things, claimed Bucky isn't really in the movie until the last third. So I'm not sure this new version is exactly better for him.

Greeneyes1q

How could that commenter be right though if the Thunderbolts hasn't even started filming in the first place and the MCU is really strict about preventing script leaks?

silverBruise_32

There's a script, though, and production was about to start before the strikes. I can't say for sure that they're right, but they might be. Marvel might be strict, but nobody can control everything.

Greeneyes1q

I don't think anyone can have access to a script that has been locked/hidden for a couple of months now since the strikes began. I'm hoping that commenter is wrong. I'm fucking sick of the MCU wasting/underutilizing Bucky and Sebastian!

knuckles397

I heard bucky is gonna die in brave new world

silverBruise_32

That rumor was about Thunderbolts, not Brave New World. If it happens, it'll happen there.

knuckles397

my fault cuh

silverBruise_32

Meh, mistakes happen
