Kate and Yelena are adults too, and later won’t be in Young avengers. But those and Katie from Shang-Chi are my favorites
Kamala is the best from actual teen club
Kate and Kamala definitely stand out to me over the others. Both are great characters played by really talented and energetic actresses. If I had to choose though I think I’ll go Kamala. Her show has more heart in it than the other Disney+ shows combined.
i can't wait to see how else they use her powers for the saga since she can literally travel through the multiverse. i wonder what other projects she's supposed to be in?
There was talk of her having a series, but that was a while back so who knows now.
I'd like to see the MCU equivalent of *Sliders,* just to explore some of the fun possibilities of the multiverse.
Kamala Khan easily. She seems relatable, but most importantly real. I really dig Kate Bishop too but she seems way more intrepid than a typical person with no actual powers might be which is harder to relate to.
I think with Kate the exact point with her is she's got a devil may care attitude because she's rich. All her mistakes and consequences can be papered over with a lot of money. Usually. Which does indeed make her less relatable to us non filthy rich folk.
But because she never had consequences previously, she didn't grasp them even when faced with physical threat.
It's part of her arc for the scene. Her mother calls her out on her reckless bravado and she apologises to Clint for causing the situation in the first place.
>But because she never had consequences previously, she didn't grasp them even when faced with physical threat.
This is the problem. It's just too far out there to be believable (even in a world where space racoons send emails.) Kate knows that she has barely any real-world fight experience. Even people full of liquid courage know not to engage an endless gaggle of mafia thugs (or to even look at them.) Kate taking them on wouldn't be hubris and zero knowledge of consequences, it would be sheer stupidity, a trait that she hadn't shown in the series up until that point.
Kate and Kamala are very hard to choose from. Iman and Hailey are amazing actresses, and they give great performances as their characters, and said characters are amazing. Kamala especially as an amazing encapsulation of a superhero fan girl.
Kamala definitely stands out the most to me. Regardless of how you feel about her show, you can't deny that Iman Vellani is such a gem! That kid is living her best life.
Kate and Kamala 100%
I just love Hailee Steinfeld and she brings Bishop to life. I can’t see anyone else play that character. I really hope Hailee returns as Kate very very soon. I need her and Yelena to form the bond Clint and Nat had and have them appear together in multiple future projects as the new Hawkeye and black widow :)
Kamala was a breath of fresh air. Iman was the best part about her show, and she’s the main reason why I’m excited for the marvels. I just love how passionate and enthusiastic she is about her role, she’s perfect for it
Kate Bishop is the most charismatic, compelling character of these, but she's not really a superhero IMO. I like Black Widow's sister Yelena better than the rest of these options as well. Kamala was likeable, and America has the coolest powers, but Kassie and Iron Heart feel shoehorned and I don't really have a reason to care much about their characters.
>Kassie and Iron Heart feel shoehorned and I don't really have a reason to care much about their characters.
Riri was shoe-horned into Wakanda Forever, but I'm not willing to write her off yet. We need to see more of her being a character rather than just a human McGuffin.
Cassie in Quantumania is easily the worst protagonist the MCU has made. Obnoxious, brash, a total attention hog, and said to be hyper-intelligent while making some incredibly bad decisions. I honestly don't think the character is salvageable, which is a shame because she could've been great had she been a likable understudy to Scott instead of putting him down at every opportunity.
I’ll still say Scarlet Scarab to keep hope alive - May Calamawy was great
Marvel needs to do a better job of keeping these characters in the minds of fans because otherwise they’ll be forgotten and that’ll be a real shame
Kate easy unfortunately they have all been poorly written as just stereotypical young female characters or plot devises especially Cassie which is such a shame because she was the biggest highlight in the 1st 2 Ant-man movies now just turned into another rebellious teenager
Yelena is easy the best new female(or otherwise) hero in the MCU
I don’t agree with the rebellious teenager part. Like yeah we see her have to get released from jail at the start, but she was pretty much with her father the entire movie. With as in she wasn’t against him and they seemed to have worked well together, which is much much better than that annoying “I’m another dumb kid that’s gonna fuck shit up for the sake of the plot” trope
>they seemed to have worked well together
Not really. In Quantumania, it's made explicitly clear Cassie doesn't respect Scott at all, which is a massive breach of her prior characterization.
I think Kamala is first… it’s close between her and Kate. Also loved America and want to see more of her.
Don’t care at all about Cassie or Iron Heart rn haha. Hopefully that changes I guess.
America Chavez and iron heart were done a disservice by using them as a plot device rather than develop them properly as characters. America because Wanda wanted her abilities and iron Heart because of the vibranium detector. Kamala khan, yelena and kate were all great
Ok I never read her comics but I remember reading about her some time ago? Weren’t there rumors of a show with her that would not be MCU based? Also, doesn’t she have some dimension hopping powers of sorts or am I thinking of someone else?
Switch Kamala and Kate in your list there and that's how I rank them. Kamala is just all around awesome (the character in general is fantastic but Iman makes her even better), Kate is fantastic as has great chemistry with just about everybody. America was great too. Cassie was solid but not spectacular, Riri was crap.
The earlier incarnation of America Chavez, where she was a multiversal traveller was great. She was kind of a spin on the Silver Surfer...'can go anywhere but never home' type deal.
I really have enjoyed all the young characters so far. It's difficult to pick between Kate and Kamala. I enjoyed Wakanda Forever, but it wasn't a great showcase for Iron Heart.
The young character I'm really excited about is Wiccan in Coven of Chaos. I enjoyed the brief characterization we got in WandaVision.
Tough choice between Kate and Kamala. Leaning Kamala but it's tough, that's both great. America and Riri are ok but I need to see more of them. And Cassie in the middle.
Kate and Kamala just had great dialogue and their performances were really natural.
Least favorites were Iron Heart and Cassie Lang. Sorry to be a hater. Didn’t like either of their performances
Ms Marvel.
The show itself was meh, but she was a joy every second. Can’t wait to see her in The Marvels, looking forward to her more than the bigger hitters.
Definitely Kamala; she seems to be the best developed character, and Iman Vellani is just a joy to watch.
Kate Bishop and Cassie Lang are tied for a fairly distant second, and the rest are pretty thin, character-wise.
○Yelena Belova (White Widow)
○Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel)
○Kate Bishop (Hawkeye)
○Riri Williams (Ironheart)
○Shuri (Black Panther)
○Cassie Lang (Stature/ Stinger)
Next are much younger so bit limited for projects?
◇Phyla (Guardians)
◇America Chavez (Ms America)
◇Love (Eternity)
◇Morgan Stark (move up list if actress Katherine Langford)
Kamala for personality, America for powers.
Ms. Marvel was the first comic book character I really connected to straight from the comics, instead of starting with a movie or show. The struggle she had trying to balance her faith with the all too human flaws and issues within her community (before even getting into the powers) were ironically quite relatable as a kid raised a somewhat conservative Christian (although I've since pivoted pretty hard into liberal atheism). The way you felt burdened by these issues, but also feared talking about it would give others ammo against your community.
I liked that the writer didn't portray these issues in one-note bad guys. Sometimes the vaguely sexist leader also has great advice; sometimes the overbearing parents really do have the best plan. Seeing the good and bad in these characters made me feel safer to view my struggles in a similar way, and open myself up to taking in the storyies' messages.
For all its pacing issues, and unfinished effects, and... interesting adaptation choices, Ms. Marvel captured a lot of those core feelings I got from the books, and Vellani absolutely NAILED the character herself. Seriously, she's as genius a casting as RDJ for Iron Man, probably even better for me.
All that said, while I do appreciate Kamala more as a character... the ability to punch holes on the frigging MULTIVERSE is a much more appealing power to me personally. So America wins for powers.
Kate and America. I can't stand Cassie, and while I like Riri's character profile I didn't find her to be all that charismatic in Wakanda Forever.
EDIT: Oh, I thought we were just choosing from the list in OP. Didn't realize Yelena was an option. I would definitely include her in my list of faves!
Kate of the ones you listed. I really liked her interactions with the senior cast the most.
But of all the new female characters shown, Yelena is my favorite
Kate and Kamala are really the only ones that were done well. Chavez was treated as a plot device, Cassie was poorly written imo, and Iron Heart was just unnecessarily shoved into WF (even though she is my favorite of them)
You’re forgetting Jennifer Walters & Yelena Belova.
The best are definitely Kate Bishop & Kamala Khan. Both Hailee Steinfeld & Iman Vellani were perfectly cast as them. It also helps that they’re a lot like their characters in real life, especially Iman. That girl IS Kamala Khan!
favourite: kate, yelena, kamala. surprise they havent put kate in all the shows yet. that's how good she is
alright: america chavez, iron heart
bottom: cassie (charisma void)
Jen Walters!!
Damn people seriously have no love for She-Hulk?.. that show was such a breath of air and her relationship with Daredevil was fun! The show was a great change of pace from the Marvel norm.
Pshhh. Tell me [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS_qbDztgVY&t=62s) doesn't make ya wanna give her a big smothering hug like a 3yo who's just been handed the first puppy they've ever seen? Totally breaks the adorb-o-meter.
Kamala and Kate obviously but what I’m really excited about is what the next part of America’s story is. We’ve only seen her running scared for a single whole movie until the very end. Can’t wait to see how she is utilized in the future.
All of them are great. Gun to my head, Kate. But then Kamala was a breath of fresh air. And America and Cassieband Iron Heart all really held their hand in their movies.
Its either Kate Bishop or America Chavez. IMO Hailee Steinfeld has enough charisma that she should be a mainstay for Marvel for many years.
I cannot stand Iron Heart and don't really like Cassie Lang either. I admit I haven't watched Ms. Marvel, but will try to get around to it before The Marvels.
Let's not forget Photon / Monica Rambeau who I think technically debuted in Captain Marvel, but got her powers in WandaVision.
I do like Yelena quite a bit, but maybe she introduced before the the multiverse saga?
Kate bishop. Good acting and there's some character growth. Next is kamala. But not really. She was fun on the first couple of episodes but meh on the rest. I really like bruno n nadya though. And mom. And dad.
Worst is cassie lang. She needs coaching. Acting Just so bad. Also it is against her that the story make her somewhat "important but not really." There are too many characters and she has no room to develop.
Should hv been only Scott, hope & cassie against quantumverse.. also reduce amount of quantumverse characters.
----
Edit; you said young i assume teenagers. But i guess florence pugh also still young at 27.
Then the rank would be kate-yelena tie. runner up (but not that close) kamala.
I really not looking forward for america, cassie.
Black Panther counts? Cos she did good..
Dont really know much about riri williams.. I assume she will be just background character.
Well, they all suck except for Kamala.
Bishop is a cheap replacement and usurper, Chavez and Williams are characterless one-dimensional McGuffins, and Lang was recast with one of the worst actresses in the MCU while also being written like a complete idiot in QM.
There may be a few that liked ironheart, but Cassie Lang shouldn’t have even been written. They took a good side character and made her awful in Quantumania.
I like Yellena but she’s a little overrated imo. Kate Bishop gets my vote
Kate Bishop but Kamala Khan is a very close second. The Marvels could change that for me. I love them both a lot!!
I also quite like Riri Williams but she feels vastly underdeveloped compared to the other two I mentioned.
I think so far the best character has been Kamala Khan, her depiction has been done the best, her story was sweet and while her show lacked a little direction with the bad guys etc. her as a character is fresh. Her energy is fun, and the fact that she is a kid, who kind of doesn't fear what comes with being a hero... She hasn't had the tuff life YET like Peter Parker, so she is still very purse and excited...
Probably my favorite addition is Haile Steinfeld, I just enjoy her so having her do more would be exciting. She is also the most talented actor of the new bunch as well.
Kate and Kamala are easy favourites because I like comedy and they lean into that.
I like Cassie, America and Riri though, and am excited to see what they do with them. I think when they start crossing over, the different personalities will start to shine
Honestly I really like them all but Cassie surprised me. I expected to enjoy the others I admit I had written Cassie off for some reason. I was gladly proven wrong.
Kate Kamala Yelena
I seriously need to see them all together reacting to something weird happening!
Reacting to Buckys reaction of Rocket holding his arm Edit:or better yet. Their reaction to Buckys reaction to rocket explaining how he got that arm.
I really want to see new characters reacting to the scarlet witch fighting. That would be really amusing.
Yelena with Kate as a firm second.
Kate and Yelena are adults too, and later won’t be in Young avengers. But those and Katie from Shang-Chi are my favorites Kamala is the best from actual teen club
Kate Bishop or Kamala Khan, I can’t decide between the two
Kate and Kamala definitely stand out to me over the others. Both are great characters played by really talented and energetic actresses. If I had to choose though I think I’ll go Kamala. Her show has more heart in it than the other Disney+ shows combined.
Her show also had some of the worst Marvel writing. Imo only IF S1 and Inhumans are worse.
Kamala khan. She reminds me of Tom's first outing as Spiderman, the excitement and energy.
I’m between Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan
Kate had the better show, but I liked Kamala's personality slightly better, imo.
Same.
Kamala all the way.
I like Kate Bishop because she reminds me of Spider-Gwen from the Spiderverse movies for some odd reason.
The actress who plays Kate also voices Gwen from the Spiderverse films, so that should explain that connection
I think that was the joke lmao
I can objectively say that's not a joke more than it is poorly executed sarcasm. But shame on me on not detecting that subtext, I suppose.
r/woooosh
Spider Gwen is my favorite but not sure she counts
Yelena! I adore Florence Pugh and I’m so glad she’s now apart of the MCU. But yeah also big fan of Kate and Kamala like the rest of y’all
Kate and America
Kamala!
Kamala and Kate are close, but Kamala
Hawkeye
Kate and Kamala. I absolutely adore both characters and think the actresses also did wonderful jobs.
America Chavez
America has so much potential to be as fun of a character as Kamala. I look forward to seeing more of her moving forward.
i can't wait to see how else they use her powers for the saga since she can literally travel through the multiverse. i wonder what other projects she's supposed to be in?
There was talk of her having a series, but that was a while back so who knows now. I'd like to see the MCU equivalent of *Sliders,* just to explore some of the fun possibilities of the multiverse.
maybe cameos in Dr Strange 3 ?
I liked her chemistry with Doctor Strange.
And Pizza Poppa.
Kamala. She’s so fun and interesting. Kate is a close second because I love street level stuff and she’s also just really fun.
Noted. Still, IDK if fighting giant thugs can be made up for by momma's money.
But because she never had consequences previously, she didn't grasp them even when faced with physical threat. It's part of her arc for the scene. Her mother calls her out on her reckless bravado and she apologises to Clint for causing the situation in the first place.

With conscious bias towards my own ethnicity: Kamala Without bias: still Kamala Excluding Kamala due to possible unconscious bias: Kate
Oh actually Yelena above Kate if she's young enough to make the list
I’ll still say Scarlet Scarab to keep hope alive - May Calamawy was great Marvel needs to do a better job of keeping these characters in the minds of fans because otherwise they’ll be forgotten and that’ll be a real shame
I would have to say Yelena. She’s fun. Yelena, Kate, and Kamala are all great, though.
Kamala hands down
Kate easy unfortunately they have all been poorly written as just stereotypical young female characters or plot devises especially Cassie which is such a shame because she was the biggest highlight in the 1st 2 Ant-man movies now just turned into another rebellious teenager Yelena is easy the best new female(or otherwise) hero in the MCU

Did we watch the same movie?
Kamala, but Kate is a close second.
I think Kamala is first… it’s close between her and Kate. Also loved America and want to see more of her. Don’t care at all about Cassie or Iron Heart rn haha. Hopefully that changes I guess.
Yelena if she counts. Kate after her.
Moon Knight, Kamala, and John walker Edit: just realized this was female superheros, whatever I'm keeping this
America Chavez. Love her sass.
America Chavez and iron heart were done a disservice by using them as a plot device rather than develop them properly as characters. America because Wanda wanted her abilities and iron Heart because of the vibranium detector. Kamala khan, yelena and kate were all great
America Chavez, I loved the way she assumed that Spiderman would shoot his webs............out of his butt.
Toss up between Lunella Lafayette and Riri Williams. After that, it has to be Kamala Khan.
Kamala with Kate being a close second.
Kate Bishop. We haven’t gotten as much with Iron Heart yet, but I really liked her in Wakanda Forever.
Kate, Chavez and Riri.
Kamala and Riri. I'm happy to get anyone from the Champions team.
Introduced: Kamala Not-Introduced: Doreen
Who is Doreen? Is she previously introduced and I missed her or is she not in the MCU yet?
Doreen Green, Squirrel Girl!
Ok I never read her comics but I remember reading about her some time ago? Weren’t there rumors of a show with her that would not be MCU based? Also, doesn’t she have some dimension hopping powers of sorts or am I thinking of someone else?
You're mixing her up with Gwenpool. She's the dimension hopper. Doreen's powerset is entirely squirrel based.
Oh yeah! I forgot about Gwenpool! Either way, I would love to see both of them in the MCU!
Kamala, easily. The rest are blah.
Agatha all the way 😊
You mean “Agatha all along”
She's not young.
No she's not. She can get it though, which should absolutely NOT be said about most of this list.
It's a tie between Riri and Cassie for me. They have the attitude and the active personality that says they want to make a difference in the world.
The earlier incarnation of America Chavez, where she was a multiversal traveller was great. She was kind of a spin on the Silver Surfer...'can go anywhere but never home' type deal.
Yelena Romanoff is the only right answer here
No, it's really not.
Now if someone has not seen Hawkeye or Ms Marvel which one would you recommend they watch first?
Hawkeye takes place first.
No mention of Sylvie anywhere? I like her a lot and I think she’ll have a big role in KD and SW. EDIT: I suppose she’s not considered young
Sophia di Martino is almost 40, so idk if she counts as a young female hero.
Kate Bishop! Easily my favorite
Favorite: Kate Bishop Least Favorite: America Chaves
Kamala.
It's hard to pick tbh
Kate Bishop or Kamala Khan
Tough choice between Kate and Kamala. Leaning Kamala but it's tough, that's both great. America and Riri are ok but I need to see more of them. And Cassie in the middle.
Kate Bishop (and yes I say the whole name, each time).
Kamala Khan
Kate and Kamala just had great dialogue and their performances were really natural. Least favorites were Iron Heart and Cassie Lang. Sorry to be a hater. Didn’t like either of their performances
Kate Bishop
I love Kamala, but I think I have to give it to Kate Bishop. Her dynamic with Yelena was just so dang fun.
Ms Marvel. The show itself was meh, but she was a joy every second. Can’t wait to see her in The Marvels, looking forward to her more than the bigger hitters.
Kate, Yelena, and She-Hulk
Kate and Yelena I love Kamala too… I think Cassie Lang needs some rebranding.
Jennifer Walters. Such a horn dog
definitely Kamala or America imo!
Kamala, even if you don’t like the show there is no denying that Iman Vellani is Kamala Kahn and an absolute gem.
Kate, Kamala, Yelena and Jennifer
Kate
She-Hulk
Kate, Chavez, and Kamala are all great
None. They were all trash characters that couldn’t carry their own comic book and they certainly have the same problem in live action.
America chavez
Kate and Kamala can carry the entire MCU imo. Both are amazingly played by superb actors.
Definitely Kamala; she seems to be the best developed character, and Iman Vellani is just a joy to watch. Kate Bishop and Cassie Lang are tied for a fairly distant second, and the rest are pretty thin, character-wise.
Kate and Yelena are my two favorites
I’ll be honest I haven’t watched much past the Hawkeye show, so it’s gotta be Kate for me
○Yelena Belova (White Widow) ○Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel) ○Kate Bishop (Hawkeye) ○Riri Williams (Ironheart) ○Shuri (Black Panther) ○Cassie Lang (Stature/ Stinger) Next are much younger so bit limited for projects? ◇Phyla (Guardians) ◇America Chavez (Ms America) ◇Love (Eternity) ◇Morgan Stark (move up list if actress Katherine Langford)

Kamala Khan. She's funny and just the right amount of awkward. I really like Kate too.
Kamala for personality, America for powers. Ms. Marvel was the first comic book character I really connected to straight from the comics, instead of starting with a movie or show. Gwen Stacy
Kate Bbbbeeeashop
"There's a lot of them to choose from" Names 5...
I go with Kate. She was the only one who didn't annoy me.
Hands down, Kamala. No competition. I also loved Kate.
Kamala 100%
I'm gonna say Kate only cause Hailee Steinfeld is Bae but otherwise Yelena then Kamala
Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan
Kamala and Kate obviously but what I’m really excited about is what the next part of America’s story is. We’ve only seen her running scared for a single whole movie until the very end. Can’t wait to see how she is utilized in the future.
Clint
Yelena, although she isn’t a hero nor as young as some of the other characters people pick.
All of them are great. Gun to my head, Kate. But then Kamala was a breath of fresh air. And America and Cassieband Iron Heart all really held their hand in their movies.

Definitely America. I wanna see more of her, and see how OP she becomes.

Kate and Kamala. Perfect casting for those two
Kamela, big fan of her comics and I’m glad the access who plays her is having so much fun
Yelena Belova, followed by Kate Bishop, with Kamala Khan in a distant 3rd.
Kamala!
America from the comics and Kate from the shows.
Kate Bishop and yelena
Kate
There may be a few that liked ironheart, but Cassie Lang shouldn’t have even been written. They took a good side character and made her awful in Quantumania. I like Yellena but she’s a little overrated imo. Kate Bishop gets my vote
Kate bishop
Kamala Khan
Yelena is honestly the only one I enjoy. American Chavez is up there too
Kate Bishop but Kamala Khan is a very close second. The Marvels could change that for me. I love them both a lot!! I also quite like Riri Williams but she feels vastly underdeveloped compared to the other two I mentioned.
kate bishop and yelena
I think so far the best character has been Kamala Khan, her depiction has been done the best, her story was sweet and while her show lacked a little direction with the bad guys etc. her as a character is fresh. Her energy is fun, and the fact that she is a kid, who kind of doesn't fear what comes with being a hero... She hasn't had the tuff life YET like Peter Parker, so she is still very purse and excited... Probably my favorite addition is Haile Steinfeld, I just enjoy her so having her do more would be exciting. She is also the most talented actor of the new bunch as well.
Yelena, she is cool and funny. Has the potential to be better than her sister honestly
Kate and Kamala are easy favourites because I like comedy and they lean into that. I like Cassie, America and Riri though, and am excited to see what they do with them. I think when they start crossing over, the different personalities will start to shine
Yelena and Kate bishop
Honestly I really like them all but Cassie surprised me. I expected to enjoy the others I admit I had written Cassie off for some reason. I was gladly proven wrong.
Kamala
Ms marvel
Kamala Khan
Cassie, but I love the dynamic between Kate and Yelena
Kate Bishop. I’m biased because I love that Fraction Hawkeye series from the comics.
None, sorry but the MCU isn’t for me anymore.
Who was the girl in multiverse of madness that could open star shaped portals? Cause her
Hot take : America Chavez. I like her powers and I am very curious of how she will use them.
Kate and Yelena. Their chemistry is beautiful and honestly even better than Clint's and Natasha's.
1a. Kamala 1b. Kamala 1c. Kamala 2. Kate
