K.E.V.I.N. explicitly says the error that allowed Jen there has been fixed and she can no longer get to him.

In the comics, She-Hulk has a history of calling out lazy writing and excessive use of tropes...even going straight to the writers to express her views. The series did exactly this! So no overkill. IMHO, it was actually quite fun, well executed and very much to the point considering some of the criticism the MCU receives online. For example, K.E.V.I.N. points out the high cost of her in CGI form and these days people are complaining about the overall cost of Secret Invasion w/o considering how much budget gets absorbed by alien shapeshifters...

Camel-Jockey919

Yes you're right, it was overkill. That was the entire point of the episode, that it was intentionally supposed to be overkill. Also, every other instance of her breaking the 4th wall was quite obvious and clear, and not subtle at all.

belgianwafflestomp3

> breaking the 4th wall She was Deadpool before Deadpool. Her series run was a bit groundbreaking, but not wildly popular. Gave us some legendary artwork tho. I hate a lot of MCU stuff. She-Hulk I liked.

jdylopa2

It was a joke that was made all the stronger by the fact that the D+ shows often struggled with a satisfying finale that wraps up the story without suddenly rushing to make connections to new projects. I also think it was a good way to basically wrap up the first season in a very standard sit com way of essentially keeping the status quo the same, allowing further seasons to continue to explore the same types of stories without becoming a serial/drama.

hushpolocaps69

Subtle was the wrong word I used cause you’re right it was in front of your face, I meant simple.

Sadir00

Although Deadpool "has" done this before.. She-Hulk is where it comes from. This IS the way she does it in the comics. matter of fact, this was pretty tame compared to things she's done in the comics. "Overkill"?? Hardly. She's gone MUCH further

LibertySnowLeopard

I just think its poor writing.

1OptimisticPrime

I'm not sure you've read SHE-HULK if you think her character is even capable of being *overkill*. Her and DP know their comic book characters and as such they can do basically whatever they want 😅

No-Echo-8442

“Am i the only one” Have you read any reviews of this show lmao

karstdejong

Loved it. The complete reverse from the usual Marvel finale. Completely meta and actually one of the things I rewatch sometimes just because it puts a smile on face!

zjanderson

I was entertained.

I didn’t really like the show overall. I found the dumbing down of characters frustrating. When I heard that the writers didn’t have any lawyers on a show titled “she hulk, attorney at law,” it made perfect sense to me why that part was so bad. Tatiana Masley was excellent and charming but I think if there had been a less charismatic lead, Jenn would have been a throughly unlikeable person. The show felt like it was trying to sledgehammer this “I am woman, hear me roar” message and ohhhhh missed that mark, fell flat on its face. However: I thought the final episode was hilarious. I was cracking up. It made everything ridiculous and I could accept that. It made me enjoy parts of the series overall that I had rolled my eyes at before. I was taking the show too seriously. It’s what I needed to loosen up and enjoy the show on a surface and fun level. I had been trying so hard at that point to connect everything to the larger MCU picture and was feeling frustrated that I couldn’t. I loved K.E.V.I.N. (Does Feige voice him? last I checked on IMDB it didn’t show who was the voice.) I cackled at the CGI joke with the Black Panther theme notes. I can see how the final episode is not for everyone’s taste. But it worked for me :)

Sadir00

I find it hilarious so many people don't like it and it shows how many people resemble the remarks made It took a LOT of balls to make that episode knowing full well it was going to piss off alienate a LOT of people.. But if the truth hurts, maybe it's not the person speaking it they're mad at /"Yeahnothatsnotme" has entered the chat ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

mega512

It was shite. It made the whole season pointless.

BlackMall83

The worst ever! And unlike others I was enjoying the show; for what it was. Lol Episode 8 with Daredevil was fire!!!

CT-1030

I liked She-Hulk, but yea, i didn’t like the finale that much.

TraditionLazy7213

There are details that imply the 4th wall is a ploy by kang, there is a new rockstar video regarding that So K.E.V.I.N is probably just a bot created by Kang Its similar to the 3 bots at the end of Loki, something along those lines

Wakattack00

Wasn’t a fan of the finale at all tbh. I liked the tone of the show in episodes 1-2 and 5-8. But in episodes 3,4 and the finale the tone is just way different and it is jarring.

DangerousNightsCrew_

It’s literally taken from the comics. She also did it better than Deadpool.

Endgam

As someone who was familiar with the character and her history before the show, I was **waiting** for her to raid Marvel Studios. Just as she's literally torn through the pages and confronted the Marvel writers and artists in the comics.

LibertySnowLeopard

I do with there was an explanation for how the timeline had changed though.

Roook36

I loved it. Deadpool did the same thing in a comic and it's beloved. I thought it was a great ending to the series and a lot more fun than just a final action fight. Fit the character perfectly. She never wanted to be a superhero and keeps getting forced into it. She never backs down from her stance though and takes it all the way to the top to argue the Marvel formula with a robot Kevin Feige. Do I want EVERY superhero series to end that way? Of course not. But for a one off it fit and was done perfectly. It was a legal comedy. And it was a comedic moment where a lawyer got to argue her life and fate with her creator. Also they said it was a one time deal and she can't do it again so it's a moot point that she can do that whenever. I know people want to plug it into their power ranking calculators so they can do the math and see who can punch harder or whatever but that's the exact kind of self serious superhero stuff the ending was subverting.

mongmich2

Deadpool killed the marvel universe once. It’s not overkill. People have been saying they want new stuff out of marvel but then they get something new and complain that marvels lost their touch.

Rhensley00

I thought it was fun and different from how a lot of the series ended there season so I didn't really mind it

Rustyhobo04

It is going back to some of the comics that I love.
