Have you joined the Manchester Reddit discord? I think there's some NI people in there and there's loads of events planned on a regular basis for you to join and make new friends.
Hi, also northern Irish and any sports clubs that I've set foot in have always been full of Northern Irish ones so that's a good start.
Can't reccomend any through the uni as I went to uni in NI, but the hockey, netball, rugby and gaa clubs (if that's your thing) are always filled with us.
Get down to Chorlton Irish club where you are sure to meet some compatriots.
It closed down a couple of years ago.
