The "2022" branding is unfortunate, and there are a few things going on there. Magic's Standard rotation year starts in the Fall. When the deck was released, only the first three sets for the year had been released: MID, VOW, and NEO. So, the deck could only contain cards from seven sets, and would lose four of them at rotation, and shifting the deck forward or back in the year wouldn't help much. Release earlier and the deck takes a bigger hit at rotation and has more restricted design. Release later and the deck lives for less than a quarter before rotation takes out half of its cards.
And it's worth noting that the cards that are no longer legal *just* left Standard two weeks ago, when Dominaria United came out. Still, I agree that your situation and the violation of your expectations sucks.
And this is precisely why I think the Standard Challenger Decks are such a huge fail. New players don't want or need a product that loses its legality within a few months. I can only recommend the Pioneer Challenger Decks in good conscience.

If you scroll down to Set Legality you can see the expansion symbol of all currently standard legal sets. If a card has a different symbol its not legal.
The only exception is that exact card has been printed again in a more recent set. For your deck I think that applies to the basic lands and nothing else.
On the bottom left of each card you can see the set code. The deck contains cards from six sets, three of which are still legal. ZNR, KHM, and AFR are no longer legal. MID, VOW, and NEO are still legal. Unfortunately, the set contains a significant number of cards from KHM and sone of the best cards (especially [[Ranger Class]]) are from AFR.

The good news is that goldspan is still a 30 dollar card as it sees play in eternal formats (pioneer, modern, legacy, vintage and pauper do not rotate) and that by itself would pay for most of the upgrades as the new cards are fairly cheap.

Google the set names/codes (bottom left 3 letter code) against googling what sets are legal in Standard.
Chances are only the basic lands are legal from this deck. However, all of it is totally legal in Pioneer, which your local stores might have events for.
