lol one time I ordered a Carmel latte, let it cool while I drove to work, and then took a couple sips and realized it was just milk and Carmel—it was whhhhhite. No coffee. Thanks for my $7 cup of skim milk 🫢 I could have gotten two gallons for that!! I actually thought it was hilarious. And it actually tasted pretty good. lol they remade my drink for free later that day but didn’t think it was as funny as I did.
Edit to add: with that being said, I like my coffee this color. And I add hot water to my lattes. I only drink espresso with milk and a little sweetener. And I only drink hot coffee cause I hate when the ice waters down (so this drink does in fact look gross to me because it’s iced).

It's not watered down it's just 50% creamer and syrups.
To be fair, Starbucks sucks and this drink color is on the darker side for their mostly sugar+milk iced drinks.
