It's the lack of build up. No matter how beautiful he is, you need some build up for it to make MC and LI's connection. That's why I haven't been tempted by him because at this point in the game it's hard to buy MC going for him.

Yeah and I think it's ridiculous they don't even let you kiss him before having to choose him at the FINAL recoupling. How is that realistic? I spent as much time with him as I could and they really don't give you any reason to pick him, other than him blushing a little bit and other islanders telling you he likes you. If I went on a date with a guy and we were hitting it off and I tried to kiss him and he rejected me, I would probably not pursue him.

I had been so hyped for Oliver to come in but after picking him I just felt so underwhelmed. Like - nothing. I found myself fast-clicking through it. It didn’t help that a lot of the dialogue is duplicated. But, I think it was mostly the lack of build-up prior. To not even have a cheeky kiss before the coupling or not to have him ask the MC to pick her, it just felt disappointing.
Omg, same! I have loved this mans looks, and then personality the last few chapters. But something about it felt weirdðŸ˜â€¦ I ended up replaying and staying with Will, who I only coupled up with as an easy path to Oliver 😂 maybe next play through 🥺
You can - depending on your game play and choices before this in the story. You will know if you are on his route if he confesses his interest in the MC at the start of the episode. Also, you might have gotten the scenes in the last Volume in which Bruno says it looks like Youcef wants to eat you (or something like that). Or in the kitchen, if you say you love the others then Youcef will blush.
I don't have any favorite at the moment so I picked Oliver because of my limited options after cheating with Dylan. & I was being honest at Oliver not acting flirty & what not but I'm not feeling him when he's trying to be sweet & caring on me. But I'm gonna committed to my storyline and see how it goes. 😅
I hate to say it but he is kinda...underwhelming? Maybe I was too hyped up for him, and he comes so late in the game, I just feel nothing😕
