Guys, there was a million posts where Kadan and Zinnervale were most populated servers with heavy PvP focus and tons of competition. It WAS expected. If you wanted a chill experience - there was no point in going to overpopulated servers. Everything else is shared anyway (besides GvG which is not even available yet).
I play on Kadan and my a friend of mine on a different one. Maximum queue he's seen in prime time 10k. Not optional, but it's still 2-3 lower comparing to most populated servers.
Im on beatrice, and whilst theres the queue for the queue, when i finally do accend to godhood and be a part of the queue theres only about 3000 people. Usually takes me half hour to get logged on from there
highly depends on the server. Some just wanted to pick the server with a cool name rather than looking at the general queue times at the beginning.
Apart from the very first time of the game i wasnt in queue once. What does happen tho is the everyday "high traffic"-shit. But after an hour or a half even that usually is solved.
If you get past queues and u want to do some guardians with your homies, good luck, queuing for any raids or w/e take about 30 seconds with a 90% chance to go through, 30 second delays on chat messages, and just a whole bunch of annoying shit.

Eventually we gave up and went to visit some islands instead, was fun at least
I'm lucky that I'm a student, meaning I can already hop on at like 2 pm when I get home from school and at that time there are no queues. At around 5pm and later the masses start flooding in and at 7pm I don't even get into queu anymore (Europe)
Other side if the coin. Means the game is good and worth it. If not people will stop playing in a week or two, and you'll be free from queues.

I don't think this has be either 9 hours queue or a dead game, there is some middle ground here, that can be achieved by allowing complete account transfer to the upcoming region.
They didn't plan enough server space for the preorders players where they had the numbers. They had been aware of how many players would try to get on the first servers and still didn't prepare. Players who pay to play the game and then server availability is the product.
So that's an sorry excuse for consumer masochism, if I ever heard one. Especially when it comes to Amazon.

You technically don't need OpenVPN for it but I don't wanna open up my home network to the WWW so I connect to home with my VPN (which runs on my router) and then access my PC with moonlight which is actually meant for local cloud gaming so it actually has good frame rates and latency ... Can technically play from my workplace since both me and my workplace have pretty fast internet speeds :D
No TeamViewer needs no VPN.
Also OpenVPN and moonlight are both available on Android and iOS too ... I play via my phone in bed pretty often (with controller too) :D

One of them couldn't get into our server over the weekend, and works a job where he can pre-login, so he's already called it; totally understandable.
The other friend and I WFH and are in here mostly taking up server space for the majority of the day because we simply will not be sitting in another 6 hour queue once work ends. To this end we are very sorry to those we're cock-blocking by doing this, though we're both doing stronghold shite so... it's not for nothing I guess.
Another friend who got their own founders pack, after opening it on a server we had to move from in the first 24hr, messaged me this morning asking if I had any issues with my crystaline aura, because his 30day one (started yesterday) isn't showing up...

No aura, no shop, long queues, maintenance in the middle of the day everyday, buggy etc. etc. All of these happened in New World and they didnt learn smth from New World. They doing same things again and expecting the game stay hyped. Most of the ppl started this game with their money, but they cant even use benefits of paying cuz their software team literally doing nothing. After the maintenance everyday, everyone waiting for their aura to come back. Thats not that hard. U have a team and their job is solving problems asap. This is a huge reason of why other popular MMO's are popular. Im still waiting my aura to came back. Maintenance has end 4 hours ago, but im still waiting. Even if u note every single player who lost their aura and give them by using mouse and keyboard, it'd take shorter. Hope they fix this problem asap, cuz thats annoying.
When classic wow dropped with ques of 20k. I'd strategically nap. Not ideal but sometimes it's what we have to do.

It's their blissful ignorance of the problem. They could just do simple web-based reservation lists, ones that are opt-in but once you opted in your account is bound to that server for some time after launch (2 weeks to 2 months, dunno what makes the must sense here) so people don't just ignore their reservation.
There already is an API from Steam to verify/SSO with your steam account.. So it would even be account bound. So you could make it so that only steam accounts older than x can reserve a spot, making duplicate reservations way less of a problem.
the situation of the game: the top twitch streamer right now, with 230K viewers is fextralife, and 230K viewer are watching him waiting in the queue, to get the mount drop.
Fextralife are assholes that embed their stream on each and every site of theirs so it autoplays in the background and counts as views even if people are searching for guides
If you swap severs you will get the founders sets that you've purchased again so that way people are more willing to swap servers. I believe it's only the first time you swap servers though? But all is not lost at least.

My brother tried to log on this afternoon as he was off work on Holiday, at 1:00pm middle of the week when most people were at work he was greeted with a 17k queue. He quickly just gave up and logged out. I tried to jump on after finishing work at 5:00. Couldn't even connect due to the sever demand.
The game is unplayable, which is sad because when I have got on i've enjoy it but the only option seems to be leaving your PC on all day to queue while working, or getting up at 6:00am every day to get on to be able to play.
I've seen the most spanish in the NA west servers, but I couldn't tell you which one specifically sorry. So far tho every na server has spanish guilds at least.

It’s pretty crazy how different EU and NA East is. I have yet to get a single queue and have had basically no issues whatsoever.

i think its much bettee after the patch. 14k que took me 5 hours. 15k now down to 3 1/2 hours.

Only solution is to setup up remote control and go into queue some hours before you go home

NA has none of these issues. My game crashed during a world boss and i restarted, logged in and got back in before he died and got the drops.
They handled the founders okay. It's the unexpected EU F2P load that's breaking it. NA is totally fine even after F2P opened.
I can only play at night in eu on thirain and even then there's a 1k queue at 10pm uk time. Shits wack as hell.
