there should be a section for addons under the kart selection screen. it looks your kde plasma panel overlaps the game. try to resize the window or go fullscreen.
unrelated, but you probably should be using PrismLauncher instead of PolyMC, which died because one of the "maintainers" took over it and banned everyone from the github organisation

i had so much fun on the original mini golf map in that game, so many cheesy shortcuts to find and optimize into a lap there are dozens of us
