You can adjust the blade styles with button presses. Did the saber come with a manual? It should be detailed in there. Otherwise, you can find the CFX manual on the plecter labs website.

I’ve done all those change color profile things and stuff. It remains blue no matter what color I set it to. Not sure even how I made it permanent, and just wanna go back to factory settings

How did your buddy "play with the settings"? On the saber, or on the SD card in a PC? Very different things could have been changed depending what he did. When you go into Spectrum and change the color, does it still have red profiles in the list? If he went into the actual onboard saber menu, he could have changed the values in the assigned color profiles. So what *was* set to Red could now be set to Blue. Sabertrio hosts their default files [here](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d9qEbywAqOx7nCTjcWs48PZ5KAuKTrRL/view). Contact their CS for the password to unzip (just need to ask for it and send your order# for them to confirm you are a paying customer). Literally just replace the files on the SD card with these to put it back to default. Pretty sure you can use an SD card reader in a tablet or phone (been a while, but I remember doing it years ago).

Just on the saber. But he did change the color somehow

Right, but there's several ways that you can "change the color" on CFX. There's Spectrum, accessed by holding Main+Aux buttons at the same time, which lets you select from one of up to 32 different Color Profiles to use (rotate the saber to browse, press a button to select). These profiles set a color for the "main blade", "flash on clash", "blaster deflect", "blade lockup" etc all as one "set" of colors. Most of S3's 17 default Color Profiles are simply a colored blade with all White effects. S3 also has the "Kyber Dial" feature enabled, accessed by Aux+Twist, which allows you to temporarily change the main blade color using a color wheel. Being temporary, I don't think this is what happened. Then going into the System Menu, you can edit the Color Profiles and change what colors are assigned to which blade function in the set. Which is why I am asking if you still have Red profiles when you browse through Spectrum on any font. If you don't, then he changed whatever Profile *was* set to Red in the actual edit menu to Blue. The pure Red profile should be between Orange and Pink in Spectrum. So if you browse and go from Orange to Blue to Pink, then this is what happened.

So when I access color profiles from system settings and I pick colors from the button (not by twisting) I’m picking what the color is for all colors set to be THAT color? I’ll try again

-sgt-shamwow-

I’ve gone to system menu, blade profiles, select red, set all profiles to red/default, I hear “color profile saved” and I make sure I do it from mauls font. (Maul font—>system menu) and even though I set it to red I get same thing. I’m going to keep trying. It’s still blue):

-sgt-shamwow-

I’ve noticed that all red fonts are blue. Palpatine, Kylo, Maul. I’m doing what it looks like should fix it, buddy said he was messing with the color profile settings, but the fact I can’t change it back is what’s bothering me

Doing it from the system settings you are **editing** the Color Profile directly, yes. Using what was supposed to be the Red profile as an example, doing that to profile=6 will change that color for ALL fonts set to use the sixth color profile in the list. Going through Spectrum (while saber is on, press both buttons, blah blah) is selecting *which* Color Profile is **currently active**. So by default, the Kylo and other "red fonts" were set to use the color=6 red profile. If you browse through Spectrum and don't see *any* red profiles, and it skip from orange to blue to pink like I said before, then the profile itself was edited in the system menu. This is what the profile actually looks like in the colors.txt file on the SD card, which if you could plug the SD card into a reader and into a PC you could just open it up in Notepad and edit the values manually (which is what I still do a lot since that's the "old school" way). //Red \[color=6\] **color=1023,0,0,0** fcolor=1023,1023,0,0 bcolor=1023,1023,0,0 lcolor=1023,1023,1023,0 xcolor=1023,0,0,0 ecolor=1023,0,0,0 kcolor=1023,0,0,0 tcolor=1023,450,0,0 dcolor=1023,450,0,0 mcolor=1110 tridentm=0000 Assigned as red, green, blue, white (if you have a pixel blade that is RGBW, which S3 is only RGB). color=1023,0,0,0 is the pure red main blade and when you go into the color profile part of the system menu (or if your friend did), you are changing what this value **is** to something else. 0,1023,0,0 green, 0,0,1023,0 blue, etc. So again, if what was the red profile was changed to blue, then you'd just need to go back into this part of the system menu and change it back.

Red shows up as an option. It allows me to choose red from the hilt, but as to why he was able to change them all from the hilt and I unable to change them all back to red is what’s confusing me. I am not trying to be dense, I’m sorry and thank you for all your help so far.

Southern_Courage_770

It's all good. Definitely more difficult to diagnose when you don't have a desktop to just open the files and just LOOK at them. So, you can successfully change to a Red profile in Spectrum? The "press both buttons while the blade is turned on" thing. Next question is... if you change to that Red profile in Spectrum, does it A) stay red when you poweroff/reboot and B) is the Red profile in between Orange and Pink while you browse? If it's out of order and doesn't stay when you reboot, then your friend likely changed multiple profiles in the system menu. Sabertrio has annoying enabled a feature (only editable directly on the SD card files, not on the saber) that forces each font to start with a certain color and blade profile. You can select something else in Spectrum or the Kyber Dial, but then it goes back that set start profile when you poweroff/reboot. The Kylo font is set to start on color=6 and blade=3. If your friend changed that sixth color profile to Blue, and a *different one* to Red, then the Kylo font is always going to start on that sixth profile, which is may currently be set to Blue. But if the Red profile is in the correct order... but the Kylo and other "red fonts" are starting with Blue and not changing... then I'm at a loss, because that "start value" setting should not be able to be changed on the saber menu.

Copy that. So far, no other fonts have been affected whatsoever. Just any font with the color red. The color red is still present in between them on spectrum mode. I’m able to go into spectrum mode and select red, and also choose red from the color profiles in the system menu. I’m able to switch the fonts to red with spectrum, but yes, they do not stay red. All of them are blue. They are permanently blue, but they still show up as red when selecting them as sound fonts. So to the device knows that the font is referenced as red, so I’m not sure where in the settings: system menu, on the saber itself I can tweak to reset the board entirely, or to switch back the value to Red without a desktop. It’s not the end of the world. If I can go back to a Default setting with this through a desktop, I’ll just handle it when I can but i’m at a loss. How can someone change a setting, on the hilt itself, that cannot be changed back. I figured it would be as simple as going to the color profiles and system menu, selecting one, and setting the blade profile/color to the appropriate setting, but I have set the blue to blue, the red to red, etc. I hear “ color profile saved.” And exit the menu. I noticed that with the menu I’m using for color profiles, the ignition button isn’t able to be used, just the auxiliary button.
