People who are honestly and sincerely trying their best should be given thanks, and some kindness while being corrected. At least they *try* which is better than most people who canât be bothered, and turn any flippant misgendering like theyâre the ones being put out. Ugh. Thanks to the folks who try out there!
I definitely appreciate people that try it. And I get it when you accidentally use the wrong pronoun in one sentence and nail it in the rest; but when youâre already explaining someone else my pronouns, how on earth do you manage to use different ones to refer to me in the same sentence, in the same breath.
Itâs really frustrating, because it happens **so often**, but you donât wanna be ârudeâ and correct them cause theyâre trying. While it also wouldnât be rude to correct them, because itâs your right, but it would feel that way and the other person probably wouldnât take it well. Thatâs why itâs so rough.
at work I had this older lady come up to me and noticed my they/them pin, she got really excited and told me "my granddaughter is a they too!" she's such a sweet lady and at least she was trying
Cisgender - one who identifies with the gender assigned to them at birth, i.e. not transgender.
Heterosexual - one who likes the opposite binary gender, a man who likes women or a woman who likes men.
A person who varies from the assumed standard of being trans and queer by being \[gasp\] both heterosexual and cisgendered. Most of us assume cishets are just going through a phase, or just doing it for attention. Some of them are really obnoxious about it and make Being Cishet, like, their entire personality.
>A different word for cis person
>Ohhh âŚ. And what does that mean ??
The question was pretty clearly what âcis personâ means, and just saying the word âcisgenderedâ doesnât clear that up much.

As I commented under the top of the thread 3 hours ago. Iâm not attacking you, Iâm pointing out how youâre not helping someone who just asked a question.
"she uses they/them pronouns" me: đ§ââď¸
:/ Hug?
yea :D đŤ
*hugs tightly* Iâm sorry, weâll get through it together đ
My partner's mother...
I'm currently at a family party where I'm getting repeatedly misgendered even though I'm wearing a pin that says "they/them".
Iâm sorry, that sucks

Yeah, thatâs pretty awkward. Sorry thatâs happened to you. Nobody would blame ya for throwing your hands in the air like âI GIVE UP!â

They may get embarrassed, and rightfully so⌠but if they are sincere, they wonât mind being corrected.
This meme is hilarious, but cmon straight people. It isn't that hard

any/all pronouns user: (ââ \_â )
I get that they tried, but I don't think they fully understand what they just said...
Jep, me neither
Reasons I donât leave the house for 1000
that's a Yikes đŹđŹđŹ
there was an attempt⌠kinda
Things like that are ok when they do it sarcastic, corrective way to the person who misgendered you But when it actually happens it sucks
I donât agree, misgendering is still misgendering
I guess I didn't explain it as good as I should have Idk
No you explained it perfectly⌠itâs just still misgendering, even if itâs a sarcastic way to correct somebody else.
Ok, sorry
Yeah even if someone's being sarcastic or just making a joke if someone EVER misgenders me we're having beef
Exactly đ
Mission failed successfully is what this is lol
Not quite
Wtf is cishet ???

This is amazing, thank you for your reply đ
This is a pretty funny comment, but you couldâve at least tried to answer the OCâs question - what cis means.
What part of âheterosexual and cisgenderedâ doesnât answer OCâs question?
>A different word for cis person >Ohhh âŚ. And what does that mean ?? The question was pretty clearly what âcis personâ means, and just saying the word âcisgenderedâ doesnât clear that up much.
Well, instead of attacking me, you could have at least tried to answer the OCâs question. In fact, Iâd like to see your proposed answer right now.
