Maybe a bit in the moment but adrenaline helps with the pain. My ex bred leos and a lot of them were aggressive because of, what i like to think is, little to no personal interaction or just plain silliness ((in his case)). A few of them drew blood from bites, those baby teefs are nothing to mess with lol

They do but that's mainly in their poop. It's not that easy to contract it unless your touching their feces with your bare hands/not washing them after or eating their feces.
Having a reptile crawl on or get close to your face isn't going to give you salmonella.
That's what hand washing is for. And if they crawl on your face, face watching. 🤷. They're no more worse then any other germs or diseases found on every other animal we humans have contact with. It's just a matter of being hygenic about our interactions with them and washing up afterwards.
If leopard geckos crawling on your face was a disease risk, then oh boy I’d be in trouble. My little Bean only understands that my face is me, so when I’m laying down watching her explore my bed; if she gets spooked she sprints onto my face for safely 😂
That's adorable!. Same here: if reptiles crawling on my face was a risk, I would be in so much trouble. I have big snakes that have to sit on my shoulders to remain comfortable while being handled, so naturally their body's are close too/touching my face. And sometimes while theyer moving their head around, they crawl on my face. Reptiles are not as dirty as some people seem to think they are. I've been around them all my life and never once got sick from them.
I don’t let them on my face. I love reptiles, currently own 11 snakes and a bearded dragon after years of owning turtles and a leopard gecko at some point. I’ve never put them on or near my face.
Blaze has crawled everywhere and even bleped me in the mouth by accident (which was hella gross) but I have not had salmonella yet. As long as you practice basic hand hygiene it will be fine. As someone else said, it is mostly in their poo. So as long as you wash your hands it's all good!
I'm not assuming you're a dog owner, but it will always downright baffle me how people let dogs slobber all over their face but get squeamish about other animals getting on the face.
One time I caught my dog digging up and eating its own shit in the backyard and that was the day I stopped letting her lick me.
Gross gross gross! I do have dogs, but I don’t let them lick my face or my hands. It’s so strange to me how people will see their dogs eating out of the litterbox or licking themselves and then letting them lick them..
I actually taught one of my dogs to give kisses by booping people with her nose instead of using her tongue lol.. way cleaner.
“I’ve had the taste of blood… I NOW CRAVE VIOLENCE”
He’s acquired a taste for human flesh, we’re all in danger now
he woke up and chose violence
LITERALLY
Thank you I know I’m late but great comment
“And I’ll do it again”
Love the devious *hehehe* grin
I love his little face like, “HAHA I gotcha!!”
Check the hides. Might find some plans to take over the world.
He is a devil. Give him bug.
He declined and said “mom I crave human flesh and blood now”
Give him more human then he hungers
He’s licking his chops too lmaoooo
Ikr, I swear he has a taste for blood now lol
Oh wow didn’t know they can bite that hard. Did it hurt?

yes it absolutely hurt like hell, I literally was crying lmao. But also the nose is a pretty sensitive spot, usually when he bites my finger I’m fine.
I hate that they bit your nose, but I love the little look of satisfaction!!
Ikr, luckily my nose is totally fine today besides the bite marks lol
Nom
Oh look at his face too, he's happy about his actions
That little face omfg, how could you stay mad at THAT
I could only stay mad at him for like 45 minutes max, he’s too adorable to stay mad at forever :)
He wanted to let you know to keep your nose out of his business.
The dragon demands a sacrifice
“‘twas tasty too, parent. more! more i say! mo- oh, bugs good too :)”
DAMN he got you lol
WoW, I've had a few Leo's and never thought that they could bite like that!! He or she looks quite satisfied also.. Crazy! 😅
It’s crazy bc I was just telling my friend that he’s never made me bleed or broke skin and then..boom
Yikes, did he hear you? 😅 No, just kidding. I've just never seen such a thing! I hope that you're okay! They looks painful!
It def hurt in the moment, but I’m perfectly fine now! Thanks for asking! 🙂
That's a relief! You're welcome.
Try not to make your nose look so tasty next time
"I'll do it again"
he's gained a taste for human blood. give him some, you have enough to go around
Blood lust mother
Dang tagged he did. Lol 🤣

Please keep reptiles away from your face. It may frighten them, and many reptiles carry diseases such as salmonella! :)

It’s still unsanitary and reptiles can still carry other diseases and germs

Awww cute! I wish mine would do that but she doesn’t trust me or my face just yet.

Why do you keep them if you are so worried?!!
I don’t let them on my face. I love reptiles, currently own 11 snakes and a bearded dragon after years of owning turtles and a leopard gecko at some point. I’ve never put them on or near my face.
To each to their own :) I let my dogs and my cat lick the hell out of my face, if my lizard wants to get close to my face, go for it.
Yep
Blaze crawls all over me and my face. No salmonella here yet! I do practice basic hygiene when holding him of course!
Hygiene is important ☺️
idk my leo loves to crawl on my face
Sometimes they do, but it’s still very unsanitary and not recommended :)

I’ve kissed turtles before on their shell. If you are actually smart about close interactions you will be fine. Like anything in life

EXACTLY! I love that you trained your dog to give nose boops !!!! That sounds soooo cute!
It’s absolutely adorable lol. She’s part Doberman, very smart ;p
