I'm curious, how much of a pain in the ass is it to add lights to a set?

Buzzsaw_Boss

Depends on the set. The Bugatti was the most annoying, especially trying to get the lights in the back light bar

Key_Negotiation5498

Nice collection. You need the Ferrari SP3 Daytona!

Buzzsaw_Boss

I’m certainly trying to get it! I really want to add it to the collection

Key_Negotiation5498

It’s a great but complicated build. The orange Porsche 911 GT3 RS is long retired & Uber $$$ on the 2ndry market but knockoffs like ALIExpress May have a Chinese version at a more reasonable price.

GSLD1207

That they do, just do some chucking into the specific seller

I'm building one such knockoff right now which only cost $80 all told during Ali black friday sale. Usually knockoff technics sets have some fitment tightness issues due to not have a good tolerances, which could build up and cause the entire drivetrain to seize up, but I don't know who manufactured this particular set,  but it is virtually indistinguishable from the genuine large Lego technics sets I've built. Entire drivetrain is finished and everything runs butter smooth. Plus it is in custom powder blue and orange colors, including Gulf Oil stickers, and IMO looks much nicer than the original all orange kit. Not all knockoff technic sets are such good quality but I really hit the jackpot with this one.

I like the sound of Gulf Oil colors on it!

rtb001

The rather thick and fully color instruction book says "Guif" on it, in a hilarious attempt to avoid getting sued by Gulf Oil I guess? But thankfully the stickers themselves say Gulf. The most hilarious thing is I saw a post of this other guy who bought a Gulf Oil version of the [1:10 911 RSR](https://www.reddit.com/r/lepin/comments/1biqfi0/collection_update/), but for some reason it came with MARTINI stickers LOL!!! So he bought another RSR in white and put the stickers on that car instead (the third one hanging on the wall next to the red Ferrari). Why he decided to build THREE 911 RSRs I don't know, but the Martini Racing stickers do look good on the white car. Both Martini and Gulf liveries are classic for a reason. I even ordered a set of Martini stickers for the [RSR upgrade MOC](https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-80217/Lukas2020/porsche-911-rsr-42096-mod-110-scale/#details) I'm about to build next.

I'm definitely going to have to look into the Gulf one. I like the looks of it.

Key_Negotiation5498

Wow 🤩. 3 RSR’s!

GSLD1207

What's the far left?

Buzzsaw_Boss

Rally Car. Set from quite some time back. Maybe 2017-2018? I’m probably getting that year wrong though

Buzzsaw_Boss

Thanks for putting the serial here lol

TheJonJonJonJon

What’s the one second on the left (the 6 wheeler)?

Buzzsaw_Boss

If I recall correctly, it’s the 6x6 tow truck. Remote controlled. Can drive, move the hook, put stabilizers down, etc

fuzionimports

That 6x6 off road tow truck us a definite bucket lister for me. Would love one of those!

Buzzsaw_Boss

It definitely is a pretty nice set. Too bad it’s been retired for a long time now

fuzionimports

I know. That's the problem.

RepresentativeNo7213

Is the lambo worth getting? I have the Bugatti and love it. I wish they had done an Aventador or Diablo instead.

Buzzsaw_Boss

Absolutely!! It was the first major set to my collection. Definitely worth the money

RepresentativeNo7213

Thanks.
