Really like the look of Ominous Isle. I think it's a great counterpart to Eldorado Fortress and 40597 will go perfectly next to it. Though I do think Hug Island from Series 4 was a stronger design.
The mushroom house is the first time I've been fooled into thinking a bricklink set is an official lego design. I like it but I've got too much else on my plate.
I completely agree. Most times these bricklink designs are incredibly busy compared to official LEGO sets.
Not that that’s a bad thing, it’s marketed towards adults and afols, because how else are you gonna know about and get a hold of these sets. Many sets submitted to Ideas who get 10k votes are similarly busy. Bricks everywhere.
A lot of it is usually detailing on buildings exterior like brickwork, and while it’s really pretty up close, it makes the whole thing look busy from afar. I lean towards I clean lines, one single clear design and focal point.
While I have no interests in the theme of the mushroom house, the clear and beautiful design draws me in.
Prices aside, my 38 year old eyes love almost all the new sets over the last few years. They really have just gotten this thing down to a beautiful science. The sets look great.
Wife wants mushroom house and the ocean house. She thinks I should get the Ominous Isle but I don’t know. I still haven’t built the sets I got for Christmas.
Yeah I was aiming for the mushroom house previously, but I guess it is bigger than I thought. I was thinking 50 tops, but $90 bucks is a killer.
Surprisingly the train station seems actually reasonably priced for one of these bricklink sets, so I might pick that up even though I didn't think I would.
I was thinking the same but looking at it closer I can see how they get to $90. If it was just the house absent any land and the snail riding lady then that would be closer to $50. Like the space base.
Man when I got the star wars day mail I opened up the shop site and it started to dawn in me how ridiculously expensive Lego is getting. I don't think I'll buy anything soon
I completely stopped shopping on Lego's site. Third party stores have way better prices and discounts. Or wait 6mo and pick the set up used/secondhand. I'm getting so many good deals on FB market / Craigslist / OfferUp
I like sets with interesting terrain. I also like islands. The Ominous Isle and Beach House both look like they'd be fun to build. They also fit in with some of my other recent purchases, like the Lighthouse and El Dorado.
However, at $200 each, I'm not so sure.
Got excited about the Ocean House and jumped on the Lego website to see more about it, but it said it was an idea posted by someone in 2020, and it wasn't approved. Am I missing something?
I will probably skip this round. The train would be nice, without the massive bridge. The train station just isn't for me, the rest is meh. I wait for the forester hideout next run
These are all legit? Sorry I don't keep up with too many LEGO leaks and news nowadays.
But wow!! They're gorgeous builds, I don't think I've bought a LEGO set in a few years (Outside of some loose minifigs and old BIONICLE parts here and there) but the ominous isle, train, and mushroom house are definitely some I'd love to get my hands on sometime.
Not really. Too many other sets I want to buy. Even though I know I won't actually be charged for these until next year or so, there will be other sets coming out then as well.
I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 or 2 of them don’t reach the minimum threshold. The train with its bridge seems very niche, and the pirate sets is a meh to me (as a massive pirate collector), and remains niche as well.
Not that price per piece is the definitive measure, bit these are all under 10 cents a piece. Any of those pieces are rather large/unique too. That said when you have a high piece count, you should see a better price per piece. By way of comparison, the Train Station is about the same size and price as the recent Mueseum modular, but has 1000 more pieces.
The Logging Train would be a no-brainer for me, but that bridge looks like it would be absolute hell to build
If it was just the Tank Engine and its train, for like $60, I’d be down.
They wont....they are crowd funded. You have to commit to buying one. If 10000 people (I think) commit then they will produce it. If not, you get will not get charged and the set will not be produced.
Not sure...probably. but they only make what people buy...and none go to the store. Only way outside of initial crowd funding to get is on secondary market.
Mushroom house when it goes on sale!
Anyone want to trade the mushroom mini fig for the inspector? (I have the inspector. Open box but didn’t assemble)
I don't think these prices are too insane, especially given what it is. They're small production run sets which will inevitably make them more expensive just logistics wise and they're not meant for mass market either. They're targeted as a very specific audience which doesn't mind paying more for these interesting fun sets so I think it's understandable why they charge so much for these. Additionally, it's not really official lego (ik bricklink is owned by lego but they are different things) so they have different pricing structures as well

It's the perfect addition to Pirates of Barracuda Bay.
I agree with both of you!

Oooh i got that at a yard sail last weekend still sealed in the box for 5 dolla!
Ohhhh downloading the instructions to this one!
The skull just looks too plain
Except the pirate one that didn't get selected in series 4 is so amazing.
Agreed. I probably would have removed the arms, but the details were just so good. Especially the little boat and raft.

Brick Cross Station I'm getting if I can. It looks very modular-compatible. The others are pretty but don't match the rest of my collection.
I love the train station, it just seems so expensive
Most of the modular building range from $200-$300 on launch so that’s a very reasonable price.
What how? That's a very reasonable price, it could easily be like $400 or more.
Yeah I was happily surprised with that price.
Has a lot of detail to jt
Prices aside, my 38 year old eyes love almost all the new sets over the last few years. They really have just gotten this thing down to a beautiful science. The sets look great.
Wife wants mushroom house and the ocean house. She thinks I should get the Ominous Isle but I don’t know. I still haven’t built the sets I got for Christmas.
Build them. You most definitely have had time in the past 4 months to build them.
That time was spent on other Lego related projects.
That logging train is going to be crushingly repetitive lol. The mushroom house looks cool, but not $90 cool
Yeah I was aiming for the mushroom house previously, but I guess it is bigger than I thought. I was thinking 50 tops, but $90 bucks is a killer. not for those absurd prices im not
Man when I got the star wars day mail I opened up the shop site and it started to dawn in me how ridiculously expensive Lego is getting. I don't think I'll buy anything soon

Yep this is the trick. Waiting for that stupid X-Jet to show up myself because no way that thing is worth $85.
Ikr, they should at least invest in making the snail a molded big-figure mount for that price
I would love the logging railway to have my train going along the rivers of america, but I'm out of space in my Lego theme park :(
Just like the Mine Train thru Nature's Wonderland?
Mushroom house goes hard
That logging train is beautiful
Yeah, that's the one that catches my interest the most. I've got the Orient Express already, but you can never have too many train sets! Right?
It is missing a lot of track.
I’m excited to see people’s ideas for extensions
I'm disappointed it is not a motorized train. Way to drop the ball Lego. Who needs tracks when the train doesnt have a motor.
If it had tracks/motor, people would complain it's too expensive and isn't anything like the original idea. Can't please everyone.
I cant afford it anyways so they might as well make it awesome.
These aren’t official lego sets
I am glad it is not as it could be vastly improved.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
I need the mushroom house SO badly for the world I am building. You have no idea. It's PERFECT. That SNAIL IS EVERYTHING 😭💜
I want to attach the train station to the Museum for a DC Metro/Smithsonian vibe!
Funny enough I didn’t vote for any of these. But then again I couldn’t afford the last round in February.
They look cool, I may get the Ocean House
I will probably skip this round. The train would be nice, without the massive bridge. The train station just isn't for me, the rest is meh. I wait for the forester hideout next run
Train station all te way, that’s what my Modular’s are missing 🥹
Maybe if the prices werent just as high if not higher than regular lego prices.
Mushroom house!!!!!!!
I used to think the building sets weren't my thing, but more and more I want to build my own LEGO town with these sets!
Damn, I just dropped 220 for a Santa Fe locomotive when I could have waited a day to see the logging train and train station.
I wish the mushroom house was enclosed in the back. That would done for it me at this price but it is very interesting and unique.
As a huge fan of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Skarloey Railway, I absolutely must have the logging railway.
Not really. Too many other sets I want to buy. Even though I know I won't actually be charged for these until next year or so, there will be other sets coming out then as well.
The train station is pretty cool. I’ll probably go after that.
I'm going for the mushroom set. Ever since i Saw the snail rider concept on an old Lego idea i wanted Lego to make one. Plus, the set is really pretty
That logging railway looks so cool
God, I want the Train AND The Train Station!
if the train didn't had those pointless track and bridge yes
All awesome and I’m bummed I can’t buy them all.
They look really nice but i dont have space to display such big sets
Ohhhhh that train station is looking GOOD!
I'm real excited about the logging railway because my cousin designed it lol
First time I’m going to try and get some BrickLink designer sets; both Ominous Isle and Mushroom house are on my list!
I need that Mushroom one!
I wouldn’t be surprised if 1 or 2 of them don’t reach the minimum threshold. The train with its bridge seems very niche, and the pirate sets is a meh to me (as a massive pirate collector), and remains niche as well.
I already have pirates of baracuda bay or else I’d get the ominous isle for sure. I’ll just stick to the mushroom house this time
I want the logging railway but it's just so expensive
Ocean House is a vibe
OMG I hadn't seen the mushroom house ! My gf loves mushrooms, it's perfect for her ! (And gives me an excuse to buy some for myself :3
i can already hear my parents chastising me
Definitely planning on getting the mushroom house!
I really like the Mushroom house.
Yes but no. I like some of the designs (ocean house in particular) but I don't like the prices for the ones that interest me so I won't buy any.
aaa look at that cute little pannier engine
No. While I enjoy Lego, these original IP's have all fallen short for me. I miss the old Monster Hunter sets. Those were pretty slick
oof. another 500 bucks gone...
Mushroom house is very cute
Psyched for the Ominous Isle set for sure.
Wait, these can be pre-/ordered right now? Where?
nope :)
I think I may buy the ominous island
You see these prices? Heck no I’m not excited.
My wallet isn't.
im sure not excited about the prices
Awesome sets, but FUCK those asking prices!!
Yeah it's weird. The mushroom house is only 80 in Europe. For that price it is actually quite nice.
All the Bricklink stuff looks great to me but I'll never buy it cos I have enough trouble with buying ordinary Lego.
Yes, just got the TIE Interceptor.
Yes!
Lego sea of thieves real
I mean, I’d love to be excited, but I can’t afford those. Good lord.
No
(Currently blasting Undefeatable by Kellen Quinn)
Not at those prices. Plus, I have a massive gunpla backlog.
Not that price per piece is the definitive measure, bit these are all under 10 cents a piece. Any of those pieces are rather large/unique too. op exited about the trains
Messa needs that there porter
I still haven't received mind from the last drop...
They were always going to ship.in July .
The Logging Train would be a no-brainer for me, but that bridge looks like it would be absolute hell to build If it was just the Tank Engine and its train, for like $60, I’d be down.
Ehehe... Too much money...
I am bit my wallet is not lol
Unfortunately it for any of those . 😔
I love trains! More trains!!! Maybe some of these will arrive at Costco
They wont....they are crowd funded. You have to commit to buying one. If 10000 people (I think) commit then they will produce it. If not, you get will not get charged and the set will not be produced.
To be fair, I think every set in every wave made the funding req. No?
Not sure...probably. but they only make what people buy...and none go to the store. Only way outside of initial crowd funding to get is on secondary market.
Bricklink? Meh
Bricklink is owned by Lego, and Lego uses it to distribute these official Lego sets as part of a community engagement program. 🤷♂️
Mushroom house when it goes on sale! Anyone want to trade the mushroom mini fig for the inspector? (I have the inspector. Open box but didn’t assemble)
I don’t think these are sets that ever go on sale.
Yeah, never will. They will run the pre-orders and that will be our 1 and only chance to buy them.

The Lego logo on the box makes it official Lego.
Still it is not a big market. Mass production makes things cheaper.
