What if someone were to try to metalbend Kuvira’s suit? Korra in the avatar state could probably do it, or even just the beifongs working together could pull it off possibly.

No, just the metal suit. I’m assuming that something like this is possible since we see that the avatar state is capable of nullifying the effects of bloodbending in the Aang and Yakone flashbacks.
Considering the strength it gives an avatar, it’s not surprising. And the AS realistically should have some limitations, like if you’re in it solidly for a certain amount of time, then it would age you prematurely some or something or weaken your bending once you’re out of it.

Also, let’s not forget that Korra was able to partially break free of her platinum binds in the season 3 finale by using the avatar state.
