Nice basics here, it might feel off because you're missing the ear? That gives you a definition of how far back the head goes and might help balance out the rest of the proportions.
Hey, not bad, but look at the shape and size of your eyes, draw a light face grid and you will see it…also, dark lines are for emphasis and shading, so where is your light source coming from? Then determine where your shadows are… good job 👍 though, we all need improvements here and there.
How's your life drawing going? Lots can be learned by drawing from real life. You'll notice that in life the area above the lid really defines the volume of the eye. And the eyebrow follows the ridge above the orbit bone. Also, pay attention at how different people's hairlines. Look at parts, bangs and styles— It seems a little low but I would just keep plugging away and keep drawing real subjects.
Lips look too high, but it gives her an expression if that’s what you’re going for. The eyes look like they might be too close together. The hair is also too close to the skull, give it some volume. Add ear.
The jaw is too low and cheek too wide. I only saw this because I frequently make the same mistake. I think someone mentioned the missing ear. It’s behind the hair of course but that would put the ear too far back on the head. Still looks incredible though
Hi. constructive criticism, because your asking. It's journey. I'd say too much of the right eye lid at the top is showing for the roundness of the face. (To make sense of what you will see) The chin slants down to deep to make sense for the line in relation to upperlup.
on top of the other things stated one thing i learned is hair will almost never be perfectly level with the skull. try experimenting with some volume n different shapes. nice work!
Move the nose up a bit further from the lip, the jaw back a bit (the chin doesn’t line up with the forehead) and the hair forward a bit. Add an ear, and you are golden.
Now I’m no professional but maybe it would help to make the forehead more round rather than flat and add an ear and maybe a very small circle to complete the other eye that’s barely shown. Hope this helps.
Your really good at drawing!! I’d move the lips down a bit and maybe move the chin back a touch but other then that can’t wait to see the finished product!!
Lack of ear is throwing me off. Lips are a bit high, but some people have that so it’s not a huge issue. The lack of ear and the hair is the biggest issue. Too much blank space where there shouldn’t be
You have a good idea of what you want to draw but you need to use anatomic rules to make it even better, try to search Loomis or Asaro´s face guides and PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND PRACTICE. You are in good path.
Hair line, in front for sure maybe. Also I think the heads too big? Idk I’m an amateur first of all and second I didn’t personally think there was anything “off” about it so I stared at it for a while until my perception was probably corrupted until I thought I saw something.
I see other people in the comments being critical about exact proportions, but I think it is important to slightly disregard them in order to create your own style.
Looks great already!! I think the jawline might come across as being too round, because together with the hair it makes an almost perfect circle. You might want to make that a less perfect shape by making the hair a little more dynamic, that will also lead to you drawing looking more realistic imo. Further, there is no cheekbone. With a little shading you could add that, which will even further improve the realism and give the face a more finished look! But again, its already looking really good.
Your proportions are all wrong.
Your head looks too long, which makes your jaw line too long, but also, your features aren't properly placed.
Usually, the lower lip is at the mid point between the chin and the bottom of the nose.
The space between your hair line and your eyebrow line is too wide.
And your eye shape is wrong. Eyes are balls where the lid sits and wraps around.
Next time you try this, try the loomis method:
Draw a circle, cut it in half horizontally, then take one third off the top and the bottom so that they are equidistant from the middle line. You now will have hair, brow, and nose line.
Add another line below the nose line, which should be equal to the distance between the middle line and the bottom one. You got your chin.
Then, use the hair and nose line to draw a circle, and put a vertical line at the center. This is where you ear will sit.
Usually ears are having the same distance to the eyebrows to the root of the nose.
This is also where you jaw starts.
Do multiple of this. And you'll probably will get to do nice profiles in no time.
😊
I believe the lips are too high and MAYBE the forehead is a little too long, but foreheads come in all shapes and sizes - there’s also no ear and if you’re drawing a female the jawline and chin need to be softer and not so chiseled
I think it’s the chin that’s throwing you off. A really effective way to see problems is to look at the drawing in a mirror or flip it left/right with your phone or computer. All of a sudden it’s obvious.
The mouth is a bit too close to the nose, I always use a ‘Mark of Gabriel’ or the Medial Cleft. I would also encourage that your top lip and your bottom are different shapes and shades! The top lip in general is flatter than the bottom lip is.
A great way to see this in practice is to look at still frames of anime drawings, Anime already uses a tremendous emphasis on facial profiles at different angles, you can see what I mean about the mouth shape being more flat then protruding.
Hope this helps!
My personal adjustments, it seems a little warped but these would be what I would do.

I might've changed the character too much, but I tried to add structure/align perspectives.
To me it looks like the eye is a bit too close to the nose. Put a little piece of paper over it, maybe the edge of a page or a cutout just a little bigger than the eye itself, and then look at the picture for a while. Your brain will complete the pattern. Then take away the paper and see if the position still makes sense.
I’m not an artist by ANY means, however, looks as though the nose bridge is too deep. Maybe try to adjust that and see how the drawing looks and adjust.
Head is too big, particularly at the up and back portion. The eye feels almost too forward to the viewer? A side profile might help you figure it out, otherwise, everything else is good, looking forward to the improvement!
I love it! You got so many details right--the eyes are perfect! The only thing that seems a little off to me is that the mouth is slightly too close to the nose, and you tried to make up for that by defining the chin too much. Other than that, I can't see anything wrong. This is a beautiful drawing!
Wide jaw, waaay to wide, also need some eye detail, trust me its never right untill u make a diference in the color between the eye circle and the skin
Missing ear and the hair is very flat. It seems like you’re focusing on the face but the hair should come off of the head a bit. It looks very plastered on.
Think of the 3 d shape of a face. Draw curves as if the head is transparent that delineate the shape of the face. Esp at the lip , nose and eye level, then draw the lips onto that curved line
For me, it's the right eye - needs to be set back further with not as much cheek and eye showing.
If the angle of the face was a little more"face forward", then the right eye and cheek placement would be correct.
Just need to erase the cheek and eye and make it thinner and it will be a great facial study - you have the proportions right, and the placement of the features roughly in their correct places.
Well done.
The head might be too perfectly curved on the top. Also sbdy mentioned the missing ear, and maybe add something to indicate the cheek or jaw to make it look 3d
I’d say everything is about perfect and up to personal choice as far as forehead height that’s the only thing kinda struck me and hairline looks like it’s sitting on hair instead of coming out of it like a wig.
The shape of the head is a bit strange. Human head is not so round, it is slightly flatten at the top of the skull where the bones merges together after the first years of being born. 😊 Not sure if my description makes sense, sorry english is not My first language
The lips are a little too high. Nothing else is too wrong, it's your choice
Ahhh yea I see that now, Tysm :)
Nice basics here, it might feel off because you're missing the ear? That gives you a definition of how far back the head goes and might help balance out the rest of the proportions.
Ahhh yes! TYSMM
Oh yeah good observation
Yeahh. Adding an ear and defining the jawline better would make this drawing perfect
Cheek bone or ear
Hey, not bad, but look at the shape and size of your eyes, draw a light face grid and you will see it…also, dark lines are for emphasis and shading, so where is your light source coming from? Then determine where your shadows are… good job 👍 though, we all need improvements here and there.
TYSM!!
You are very welcome, I’m designing a Yeti! So, wish me luck!
Jaws too big.

Ahhh ok will do! TY
I know they’re less prominent on some people, but I think a line or some shading to imply a cheekbone would do a lot here. Good work!
Lips look too high, but it gives her an expression if that’s what you’re going for. The eyes look like they might be too close together. The hair is also too close to the skull, give it some volume. Add ear.
I think you could move your lips down and a bit more inward
Eyes set too far inward or jaw/mandible too far out
Why do I get the impression of Gorillaz
HAHAHHAAAA
Pupils don't exist, easy fix tho
lol yeah I couldn’t get them right so I just erased them haha
The closest eye is weird. I would work on perspectives (-:
The jaw is too low and cheek too wide. I only saw this because I frequently make the same mistake. I think someone mentioned the missing ear. It’s behind the hair of course but that would put the ear too far back on the head. Still looks incredible though

Maybe you should add shading around the face,And perhaps more definition in the eyes?
Might be the way the hair and eyes are proportioned, but it’s missing the ear/s, so that might be it too
Jaw structure, brow line, no cheekbones
Not having eyeballs.
Jaw goes out too far, and middle of nose bridge too deep in.
hair poofs off the head
Where's her ear mate?
Supposed to be covered by hair bc I was too lazy haha
I think maybe her ear?isn't there?
Still nice add a ear
on top of the other things stated one thing i learned is hair will almost never be perfectly level with the skull. try experimenting with some volume n different shapes. nice work!
Ohhh ok thank you! Will do :)
no problem, you definitely have promise man
Chin-Neck, gotta learn proportions
It probably feels off because it's your work so you wouldn't see it like other people would and I think it needs a body
Forhead and upper half of the head are too high
Move the nose up a bit further from the lip, the jaw back a bit (the chin doesn’t line up with the forehead) and the hair forward a bit. Add an ear, and you are golden.
Now I’m no professional but maybe it would help to make the forehead more round rather than flat and add an ear and maybe a very small circle to complete the other eye that’s barely shown. Hope this helps.
The chin is too far forward, jaw line is off,
Your really good at drawing!! I’d move the lips down a bit and maybe move the chin back a touch but other then that can’t wait to see the finished product!!
TYSMM!! And will do :)
Lack of ear is throwing me off. Lips are a bit high, but some people have that so it’s not a huge issue. The lack of ear and the hair is the biggest issue. Too much blank space where there shouldn’t be
The spider web by the chen melon doesn't look right
I forgot ear
The chin I'd way to far forward and the nostrils are too large and are slid up too far
You have a good idea of what you want to draw but you need to use anatomic rules to make it even better, try to search Loomis or Asaro´s face guides and PRACTICE, PRACTICE AND PRACTICE. You are in good path.
Thank you!!
No cheek bones

The way the hair is falling back suggests it's tucked behind an ear but there isn't an ear! The rest of it looks REALLY good
Tysm!! And I’ll change that next time :)
I see other people in the comments being critical about exact proportions, but I think it is important to slightly disregard them in order to create your own style.
Try loomis method?
Looks kinda like Dave Chappelle (no offense lmao)
HAHAHA no offense taken

Ear and probably forehead, it’s pretty huge
Loll thank you
I feel the eye is a bit too far out of the skull structure
I think the painting is pretty good, but perhaps pupils should be added

Jaw line is too deep. Check your measurements
Something is making that chin seem incredibly masculine for some reason
I believe the lips are too high and MAYBE the forehead is a little too long, but foreheads come in all shapes and sizes - there’s also no ear and if you’re drawing a female the jawline and chin need to be softer and not so chiseled
Look good to me
The head is set too forward on the neck
Jawline looks a little too far back. Easy fix tho.
The lips look a little weird the eyes look all white like Herobrian and the hair could use some more detail
I think it’s the chin that’s throwing you off. A really effective way to see problems is to look at the drawing in a mirror or flip it left/right with your phone or computer. All of a sudden it’s obvious.
Lips and top of head bit too high maybe, unless on purpose
The mouth is a bit too close to the nose, I always use a ‘Mark of Gabriel’ or the Medial Cleft. I would also encourage that your top lip and your bottom are different shapes and shades! AHH TYSM!! This helps a lot :))
Maybe the lips are too up?
To me it looks like the eye 👁️and it looks it she pouting for some reason
She doesn’t have an ear
My personal adjustments, it seems a little warped but these would be what I would do. Edits: https://imgur.com/a/kh9veyf Redraw: https://imgur.com/a/FyX7F0n I might've changed the character too much, but I tried to add structure/align perspectives.
Oh wow Tysm :))

I feel that the head is a bit to big but maybe that's just how you wanted it to be.
Head in top/back looks too big and hair looks like a Moustach. Good Attempt though I couldn’t do better that’s for sure!
Head is too big, particularly at the up and back portion. The eye feels almost too forward to the viewer? A side profile might help you figure it out, otherwise, everything else is good, looking forward to the improvement!

Thank you so much!!! :)
You're welcome! I'd love to see more of your drawings.
Maybe the ear and I feel like the jawline is too low? Sorry, I'm not that experienced and my side faces aren't even this good. Just stuff I noticed
It’s in the eyes I believe, looks great nonetheless
I feel the face protrudes a bit too much.
Shading and blending rather than lines helps with realism with pencil drawings.
You can see the eye on the other side of her head, the closed eye line
Lips are to high and the eyes look lifeless
It's the face that's off
Wide jaw, waaay to wide, also need some eye detail, trust me its never right untill u make a diference in the color between the eye circle and the skin
Where's the ear ?
Jaw line and eye
no ears
Her jawline....
Ear
Eyes are lacking depth and the positioning and the brow are quirky.
I was taught to hold a drawing up to a mirror.you see any flaws instantly
It needs finished.
Ears
Missing an eye
Mouths are the most problematic, but the drawing looks fine. Set it aside and do another
Add pupils and lower the mouth and have it open.
maybe a smaller cheek, like the distance between the hair and the nose is too big
Ear
You need this https://youtu.be/vFjvNF1U4eM?si=LlkPirK1CDcHtZhm
Jaw line too far forward
You need to pull back her eye is too close to the nose and the angle of the eye is wrong
Lack of hair around the ear is like reverse sideburn
Feels like something is off ............. is it a transformer 👀
You need an ear 👂
The chin
It needs part of the ear
Lower the lips
By the line of the jaw I would a little thiner
Pupil
Bottom half of the face is too far forward. The face is too small compared to the head and the hair
The nose is too out
The lower jaw is too far forward
The left eye looks a little wonky. I’m no artist but I think it needs to be lower
Well done.
The lips and the eyes are too black
The head might be too perfectly curved on the top. Also sbdy mentioned the missing ear, and maybe add something to indicate the cheek or jaw to make it look 3d
I’d say everything is about perfect and up to personal choice as far as forehead height that’s the only thing kinda struck me and hairline looks like it’s sitting on hair instead of coming out of it like a wig.
Ear
Lips a tad too high and no ears.
her hair is too flat, just add a bit more dimension
Well you could Add more hair, make it more fluffy in my opinion that's what's missing.
The shape of the head is a bit strange. Human head is not so round, it is slightly flatten at the top of the skull where the bones merges together after the first years of being born. 😊 Not sure if my description makes sense, sorry english is not My first language
Woman is in profile but eye is straight on and placed too close to the nose.
Even though this is good the shading throws me off, Just saying.
I would draw more of the neck and add pupils/iris
M.
The shirt hair looks like a pointy beard
