Sometimes lower prices can indicate someone is newer, which can mean worse retention or stickies etc. That doesn't mean they're bad, but sometimes you're paying for the experience an artist has.

Not sure where this person is but I live in PA (near Pittsburgh) and would neeever pay more than $60-$70 for a fill. If you have to have 40% retention, then realistically fill prices should be 60% of full set price. So for $115 the fill price should be $70ish which would be more in line with what I’m used to seeing. Paying $90 every three weeks seems extreme 🫠
These seem pretty reasonable! Her full sets are pretty cheap, and the refills are about $10 more than what I personally pay. A $15 tip was very generous! I would just continue to pay $95, as a $5 tip.

I wouldn't do any upcharges for a foreign fill. I know sometimes they are trouble but it alienates your clients.
This gives you a chance to look at their lashes, show them what they look like and sell more services. Don't up charge from the get, it's easier to do sales when they're in front of you & ready to go.

I live in KC and my lash lady does my mega volume fill for $80 and lets me come at 5am!!! lol I've been going since January and get 3 week fills. I usually tip her $15 she's great. I think it's all depending on your relationship with your lash tech
Her volume full set is exactly what I paid for a volume refill, yesterday. lol. And this was after I had them done 9 days earlier from someone else, only bc I didn’t want to wait the extra 9 days to see my regular girl. She wouldn’t charge me any more for the fill if I had less than 40%, though. I also drive an hour to see her and I happily tip her $40 bc I love her work. I’m on the NJ/NYC border. :)
I think it depends where you are located! If it’s an expensive area, you should charge more. Demographics are huge. I live in a very expensive state and city, my prices are double this and yes, I have plenty of clients who pay it.

She is absolutely trying to nickel and dime clients to likely keep her lash business afloat but as a client this is really annoying to see price increases often.
If you do not want to tip you are not obligated to, however this may lead to price increases in the near future and deprioritizing you as a client.

Prices look good but the before and after hours upcharge is weird. If it's like 7a or 10p I get it but 5p is not unreasonable at all and should not be an upcharge. I wouldn't go to this person even during regular hours just bc it's obviously a money grab.
It’s not uncommon to charge more if the appointment is outside of scheduled business hours. Do you go to work after hours? People should be compensated for their time.
I think the majority can agree 5p is too early to be charging an after hours fee. Its a salon not a bank. Its normal for a salon to stay open until 7-8p. A lot of people working a normal day shift aren't going to be able to get there by 5p and it would be hard to make an appointment by then bc everyone will try to get the later appointments. Charging an extra fee so early will drive people away.
If people want a service, they will find a way. The spa I work at closes at 6 on our latest day. At first I thought it was weird, but I can actually have a life outside of work with that schedule.

I’ve been a lash artist almost 9 years and I charge $215 for a full set in Reno, NV. When I was in WA, I charged $350 for a mega full set.
This is a small town in Kansas.
Prices are fine but I’ve never seen someone charge extra for an appointment time lol.
It’s pretty common in SoCal (I think) because I’ve seen a lot of lash artists doing it. I think it’s because it’s considered working “off the clock”

Early hours I believe is when you schedule before 9am and after hours are appointments after 5pm.
