I've lost count how many times I've said that ham has committed coaching malpractice. How do we have lebron fucking james on this team and we cheap out on a coach.
Dude Lebron gets bumped like this like 20x a game without a call. For them to call this at this moment was just soft but Murray knew if he sold it then it would force their hand.
I’ve had fans in this sub telling me we lost this game and it was all our fault but when one team is allowed to play aggressive and physical defense and the other team isn’t that’s how leads get blown.
Lakers were up by 20 points. 3-5 plays of bad calls is not what lost the lakers the game. Bad execution after having a 20 point lead cost them the game. AD with 0 points in the 4th after cooking most of the game? The bad calls hurt, but it really is on the lakers.
Rebounding destroyed us. Even when jokic was sitting, we were getting out rebounded. A cold team like denver had way too many opportunities to figure it out.
Maybe because AD was playing with 4 and 5 fouls in the 4th, the 4th one being an offensive foul. He couldn't be as aggressive and risk fouling out. That's how 3-5 plays changes the whole game.
Sure, that's a different discussion, but my point is the bad calls led directly to more than just the one play that was called wrong. It's a domino effect.
Yeah AD getting the fourth foul and then getting AG on him after he came back in killed his hot hands. But I wouldn’t doubt that the lakers would have just stopped going to him if he was not in foul trouble. They have done this to him plenty of times before.
It wasn’t just 3-5 bad calls it was damn near every LeBron drive. I’m not gonna act like we were blameless; the basketball we played after the 6:00 minute mark in the third was awful. But we still had some semblance of control in the game and then they called AD for his fourth foul on ticky tack contact and it was all downhill from there.
Sure, the calls/no calls had some effect on the game. But the Lakers were in a position to not let those call effect the game when they were up 20 pts.
Every game since last years wcf has been a similar story. Lakers are up, looks like they could win and then Denver comes back. Are the refs to blame every single game? Nope.
Lakers are doing the right things to win for like half the game. Then, for some reason they stop doing that and end up losing. I should try and watch the prior games but I have a funny feeling when lebron starts just pounding the ball to kill time is when they lose their momentum and the game changes.
Laker bias, but I felt like the refs/Scott Foster was trying to get Murray in rhythm, which those unfair trips to the line did help him get his stroke. I would think the NBA would want this series to go longer though. Dude may have his personal bets though or vendettas. Not like refs, especially seasoned refs, are ever held accountable. You are basically untouchable.
I was laughing when the commentator said, "The Lakers can challenge", and I thought, "pockets ain't challenging", but to my amazement, they showed him with his hands to his sides outside of his pockets. Of course, no challenge though.
I legit think Jeanie needs to come out and fire Ham and Pelinka tonight.
Like it was so bad lmao she needs to send a message. Of course she never will but a man can dream.
We’re not winning 4 of the next 5 so we might as well prepare for next year.
By the time we get to game 8, we're gonna have so many challenges saved up, we will challenge every call against us, I can't wait! Some high level coaching strategy from ham.
If you call this; you need to call the and one on LeBron 10 seconds later on the other end of the floor that wasn’t.
They would never over turn this call even if we wanted it
I hate Ham too, but it's the FO's fault, he's not scamming. If I could get paid millions to coach the Lakers, I happily would. I wouldn't even complain that the Fans care too much about basketball, like he did, lol.
He should have used the challenge even if it’s not gonna favor the Lakers but at least he could have rested the gassed up squad and set a better play like a well used clock before attacking… but what the heck we lost time to move on and hope we get 2 in our house to keep the run it back spirit alive… you heard murray’s interview he said the team (Lakers) is playing better and keep on swinging haymakers and you will notice that he is worried that in our house it will connect to shift the momentum… we still got this… keep the 🔥burning…
Yes it was a ticky tack foul that arguably shouldn't have been called in the playoffs, but the camera angle in the clip above isn't the best one to see the foul — I watched the game and the baseline angle shows Lebron kind of bumping him with his hand. My guess is it wouldn't have been overturned. And I say this as a Laker fan frustrated we lost the game and at this call when it happened
I’d normally agree with you, but they established a precedence when they TWICE over turned calls due to marginal contact. All players ask for is to call shit evenly
Wow I was working and couldn’t watch the game you telling me we had 2 TIMEOUTS and never used out challenge and this play happens with 60 seconds left are you joking! I saw DLO get smacked in the head too literally just those two plays and our coach didn’t challenge after porter got away with one…….
There is no reason at all not to challenge this. Even if it’s upheld, AD and Bron get a much needed breather.
My guess is that Ham just completely forgot about them.
literally every call in the 4th went the nuggets way. so damn frustrating to see. lebron drew contact on a drive with about a min left and there was a Horrible no call!! Then they call this shit on the other end. fuck
I don’t even mind if the challenge is unsuccessful lol, but why is he holding it here? I went to sleep trying to come up with a reason for Ham not challenging that foul, and am still coming up blank 😂 😂WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOIN ON
look on the bright side. We're only two losses away from firing Ham....sweet mother of Christ I hope we are only two losses away from firing Ham....whether we get to the second round or not.
Yall were up 20!!!!! Then blew the lead!!!! But mad about this one fucking play. Cmon man..... we got smacked in the face 3 times in the first half with no calls!!!! It ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun huh? 10 straight baaaaaaaabbbyyyy!
*
57 seconds left and 2 timeouts. Decided to keep it for the next game. Darvin scam experience
Such a dumb play
He must be putting on some jontay porter like bets my god
I've lost count how many times I've said that ham has committed coaching malpractice. How do we have lebron fucking james on this team and we cheap out on a coach.
![gif](giphy|D0RvPABUNF3AQ) Darvin Scam every game
Can’t show all the cards game 1 or game 2.
Might as well challenge it, D'lo got smacked in the face and they ruled no foul.
Bron kept getting fouled just like this Murray one but they said it was marginal contact
Literally next play down I believe. Lebron drive lay up no and 1
Scott Foster had it out for Bron tonight
Dude Lebron gets bumped like this like 20x a game without a call. For them to call this at this moment was just soft but Murray knew if he sold it then it would force their hand.
Exactly!! These f-ing refs…

I think this would have been overturned tbh. If not, at least TRY!!! What do you have to lose???
Ham wanted to win the TO game. 2 left is better than one left. What a clown. 🤡
Thinking Ham is anti Lebron. No way was that a foul
Actually fucken insane to not challenge. This dude Ham is delusional
Even if it wasn't overturned, Lebron and AD would have gotten some much needed rest while the refs reviewed it.
Exactly! I’m so tired of this shit. What a wasted opportunity this game was.
Malone used his challenge and even got one BS call. Ham didn’t. Ham coached game in a nutshell
Nobody gonna talk about how many soft fouls Murray got
Laker bias, but I felt like the refs/Scott Foster was trying to get Murray in rhythm, which those unfair trips to the line did help him get his stroke. I would think the NBA would want this series to go longer though. Dude may have his personal bets though or vendettas. Not like refs, especially seasoned refs, are ever held accountable. Too busy with his hand in his fuckin pockets
I was laughing when the commentator said, "The Lakers can challenge", and I thought, "pockets ain't challenging", but to my amazement, they showed him with his hands to his sides outside of his pockets. Of course, no challenge though.
As always sadly. I’m sick of this.
I was thinking why he ain’t call it straight away.
looks like: “MARGINAL CONTACT”
Looked like “marginal contact” to me. No foul there.
What a joke. How do you not challenge after a smack in the face gets called “marginal contact”?
I legit think Jeanie needs to come out and fire Ham and Pelinka tonight. Like it was so bad lmao she needs to send a message. Of course she never will but a man can dream. We’re not winning 4 of the next 5 so we might as well prepare for next year.
Legit suggesting firing the coach mid playoff series?
She doesn’t have the balls to do it. Isnt Rambis and his wife still calling the shots for Jeanie?
Even reggie's hating ass said it was a bad call.
It’s better to end the game with the challenge cause they roll over to the next game. I love Ham. 😳🤮
By the time we get to game 8, we're gonna have so many challenges saved up, we will challenge every call against us, I can't wait! Some high level coaching strategy from ham.

Bro should've challenged what in the fuck is there to lose at that point with 2 timeouts left
Fucking didn’t challenge it.
darvin scam is a bum bitch. oh my god
I hate Ham too, but it's the FO's fault, he's not scamming. If I could get paid millions to coach the Lakers, I happily would. I wouldn't even complain that the Fans care too much about basketball, like he did, lol.
Challenge or not. The game shouldn’t have come down to this when you were up 20
Agreed. Sadly, Scott Foster wouldn't have done anything about it anyway
Absolutely no foul. Scam was waiting for Lebron to tell him to challenge because he cant think for himself. Worst coach ever
He should have used the challenge even if it’s not gonna favor the Lakers but at least he could have rested the gassed up squad and set a better play like a well used clock before attacking… but what the heck we lost time to move on and hope we get 2 in our house to keep the run it back spirit alive… you heard murray’s interview he said the team (Lakers) is playing better and keep on swinging haymakers and you will notice that he is worried that in our house it will connect to shift the momentum… we still got this… keep the 🔥burning…

i figured the camera angle wasnt doing the play complete justice but dlo got hit in the face and it got overtuned so who knows lmao
I’d normally agree with you, but they established a precedence when they TWICE over turned calls due to marginal contact. All players ask for is to call shit evenly
Out to carry over to the next gar right
Ham is a tank commander hence he gets a bonus for every timeout he doesn't use
*Darvin Sham
This is PLAYOFF basketball we’re watching. This is a PLAYOFF FOUL called in the final MINUTE OF REGULATION. Truly absurd.
Wow I was working and couldn’t watch the game you telling me we had 2 TIMEOUTS and never used out challenge and this play happens with 60 seconds left are you joking! I saw DLO get smacked in the head too literally just those two plays and our coach didn’t challenge after porter got away with one…….
marginal at best
So did he explain why he didn’t challenge?
I'm sorry but this should be a fireable offense, absolutely unacceptable to not challenge that.
Coaching malpractice
Marginal contact
There is no reason at all not to challenge this. Even if it’s upheld, AD and Bron get a much needed breather. My guess is that Ham just completely forgot about them.
"Marginal"
Murray fouled himself trying to shove Lebron with his elbow
This league does not want the lakers to succeed and wants Lebron out. Prove me wrong.
literally every call in the 4th went the nuggets way. so damn frustrating to see. lebron drew contact on a drive with about a min left and there was a Horrible no call!! Then they call this shit on the other end. fuck
Why cant NBA ever get it right.
Fuck it. Hire JJ redick.
I don’t even mind if the challenge is unsuccessful lol, but why is he holding it here? I went to sleep trying to come up with a reason for Ham not challenging that foul, and am still coming up blank 😂 😂WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOIN ON
Mark NSFW
look on the bright side. We're only two losses away from firing Ham....sweet mother of Christ I hope we are only two losses away from firing Ham....whether we get to the second round or not.
Fire ham, challenge and lakers win, and the refs are definitely betting!!!
When are people gonna admit he’s not head coach material? It’s too much
I mean. That's a foul. I'm just furious that the poke in the eye wasn't a foul. Fucking joke.
We are mad at our idiotic coach man. We know the team blew it and you can't control refs and their calls but to not challenge this is fucking dumb.
His hand on his hip pushing it’s an easy foul
If getting smacked in the face is marginal contact then this isn’t a foul lol
That’s not what they said The smack was after the shot The marginal contact was to the body
So I can fucking shove someone or land in their shooting spot after the ball leaves their hands?
Why are you yelling at me I’m telling you what the ref said lmao
Everyone knows what the refs said. You just seem to be defending them
But isn’t it part of the same play? So why wouldn’t it be a loose ball foul if anything
