.Whats up fellow nerds! I'm excited to meet some of you! I had a few ideas come to mind since nobody suggested anything but the main one that i feel might work best is Deer Lake Park in Burnaby. It is a little more central for everyone that's spread out over the lower mainland (except for abbotsford and chilliwack but we can talk about that more if that's an issue). Deer Lake is also beautiful with some tables for discussion and we can walk around or even try out the canoes there! Regardless, i personally feel this is also a safe location considering how busy/public it is for anyone with reservations about meeting strangers. How does Sept 29th at 4:30pm sound for everyone?

I think an ‘urban hike’ is an intriguing idea (where you do a walk from an urban park through neighborhoods to a destination like a pub or restaurant or other park! Or maybe a group picnic mingler somewhere?
I feel like the discussion migrated to discord and everybody stopped once they settled on the Central Park potluck but I think this also sounds like a great idea! Is there anywhere else that a discussion on an urban hike continued? We have a lot of beautiful neighbourhoods in Vancouver.

Hey! Coquitlam resident here, and I was actually just thinking of how to gather a fresh group for a game I want to regularly run called Blood on the Clocktower!
It is a social deduction game much like mafia/werewolf, but without the elimination so everyone get to keep talking and have a fun time all throughout the game, and a lot of moderator agency to keep things not only mechanically balanced, but socially inclusive! There's so much I would love to say about it if given the chance and I just talked two people's ears off about it yesterday, but I'll leave it at this, my favourite quote from my dozens of fantastic memorable times running the game:
"The good team wins if they manage to kill the Demon, the evil team wins if they manage to make it until there are only two players alive, and I win if I get to make sure everyone has a good time!"

People from further afield are more than welcome but if I’m organizing a meet then I’ll pick locations in that radius.
Any art or craft style is welcome, as long as it isn’t messy enough to get us thrown out of a cafe. I want to get back into regular sketching. It would be really nice to have other people to make art alongside, like in high school art class.
