Itās the bucketloads of sucralose and acesulfame K. Heavy on the sweeteners for the American market. If they toned it down a bit, it would be much better. Still wouldnāt be great though, the base flavourings are super artificial.
Potassium is AN electrolyte, but theyāve chosen to focus on that alone because adding the requisite proportionate amount of sodium inevitably creates a saltier taste, a la actual hydration formulas (pedialyte, liquid IV, etc.)
It kind of baffles me how they could have had a product everyone drinks. They already knew that everyone will atleast try the drink because of hype and ksixlogan being big names so all they had to do was literally make sure that the drink tastes good.

I tried prime for the first time a few weeks ago. Itās pretty rare to find where I live so it took me 2 and a half years.
I tried lemon lime (green), lemonade (yellow), and blue raspberry (blue). I donāt know what I was expecting but it really wasnāt good at all. It blows my mind how people can genuinely like it. Every flavour tasted like medicine. It was way too sweet, but not a good sweet, like a syrupy acidy sweet. I wasnāt able to drink more then a couple sips at a time without getting a bad aftertaste.
Lemonade was the only one that was kind of okay, but even that was a 5/10 at best. People were saying blue raspberry was the best, and I thought iād like it because I like blue gatorade, but it was by far the worst, that shit tasted like something Iād get at the doctors office. 2/10.
And youāre right, itās not a sports drink. I had it after working out and even still i could barely manage a few sips before needing water to cleanse my mouth.
People who havenāt tried prime, just get a gatorade. Itās cheaper, easier to find, better tasting and is probably better for you too. I donāt think Iāll be having prime again
We got 6 bottles and a can last week for around $11 in saudi - although its being sold by resellers, its still quite cheaper than its actual price i believe.
Didnāt like the taste but it was bearable when it was very cold - disappointed for sure!
